Hey ddg, I know this is an old vid but I just wanted to say(and I hope I speak for a lot of your subs out there) that I would never pass judgement on you for anything you did in combat. The majority of people, myself included, have no idea the kind of danger and stress you face in combat. You're a brave guy, and you've done something very few people have done. Be well man.
This is a old video but man DevilDog. I have the upmost respect for you to answer those questions, sucks people aren't smart enough to realise you shouldn't ask those sorts of questions. Surprised you answered it, and if somebody puts judgement on you for that, they don't deserve to watch your videos. Like you say, you don't join to bake cakes.
NotYourAverageBambi Yeah, like who the fuck asks a combat vet if they had any friends die infront of them? If there's one thing you never ask a combat vet, or any vet for that matter, it's if they had friends die right infront of them
WizKid 1123 People don't use their heads anymore man. What do you expect? I hate having to be a teen, i get treated like the rest but they are all dumbasses who don't worry about whats going on in the world and I'm sitting here like "Oh, another suicide bombing" everybody else is like "OHHH new starbucks flavor" xD
NotYourAverageBambi Exactly. The manly maturity in teen boys is just fading away. I personally have been raised to be a man and with manliness comes maturity and understanding. Like, knowing not to ask veterans about horrible experiences they had because I understand they're still dealing with those demons and don't want to be reminded of it. It's the same thing with transitioning from a girl to a woman...something that's fading away in teens too
My buddy said there is nothing wrong asking a vet if they have killed somebody...let's just say we aren't friends anymore. I was grown up to respect women, I have absolute total respect in out veterans and can't wait to enlist and get my Op. 40 contract.WizKid 1123
I just started watching your vids today and this is one of those channels that just has content that sparks so much emotion in me. Thanks for your videos.
I'm a new sub and I just wanted to say thank you for serving. And as far as passing judgement I would never judge someone for doing the job especially because your out there serving our country and defending us. Once again Thank you.
I know this is old but good on you man, I'm Canadian and you and your fellow marines (and other branches) have our respect and I personally respect the fact that you answered these questions even though you should not need to, thanks for your service from your northern allies
Your channel, your videos, your life, your memories and your secrets, we are just here to hear and watch your shit and enjoy listening what you tell us. Whatever's comfortable with you man.
In this vid you were at 100 subs your at 917k thank you for your service tueful hunden I’m signing and going infantry myself right now I’m in the process about to head to meps watching this old content of yours is extremely insightful and I know it’s not easy to speak on some of it and I thank you for that semper fi brother
You would think people would have common curtousy and not ask veterans "Oh have you ever killed anyone? " Be respectful just say thank you for your service. Plus I'm shipping out to basic on Dec 12th. Any body else shipping before then?
This is an old video, but if you see this I've got mad respect for you man. You handled yourself very well answering some tough questions. Thank you for your service.
Hey Devil, I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say that personaly I feel somewhat honored that you would even share will us that you have killed people. I don't know what its like by any means, but I do know that it a hard thing to live with and something most vets don't like sharing. And I just wanted to say, cause I've watched alot of your videos but never actually said, Thank you for your serivce. Thank you for answering the call that many would not to defend our country and our freedom. Do did well man, no matter what anybody says. Semper Fi devildog. Ooh Rah!
ommg when you shot that helicopter with the tank I had to pause the video so I could pick my jaw up off the ground! love your MC Mondays by the way, after I graduate highschool I'm headed straight to the recruiters office to enlist :)
It was actually established at the Geneva Convention that all military personell, across the globe, would do their best to treat the wounded, no matter which army they belonged to.
i just want to say two thing, one: i respect your decision. if you don't feel comfortable telling us then don't. it really is none of our business. however the second thing is: i will never judge you for killing the people you did. you did your job and served your country and protected people. you will always have my respect and gratitude for your service. thank you.
Hey if u dont wanna answer it is cool man u have done a lot and people can't understand the stuff u went through and what u did, What i think is u served my country and I am proud to have people server it faithfully and pasionately
devil dog you are an amazing person telling 14k people that you have killed people and keeping your composure is amazing your answering so many personnel questions just because people ask them is truly amazing thank you for serving our country i hope someday i can join the marine brotherhood
I was pretty good at staying calm and controlling my breathing in the gas chamber, but I once took a big ol' breath of CS and it was a throat burning sensation like no other, but quickly regained my composure. After about 3 times it starts to become fun and funny instead of a ball buster.
My grandfather was in WW2 at the battle of Iwo Jima. If your search in Google images " Iwo Jima Flag raise hes in the group picture with the flag all the way to the left with his helmet in the air.
I still can't believe idiots ask questions like that. You need to respect the fact that they've seen things the want to forget, and all you're doing is reigniting their sadness...
I know you carried an M16A4 but as a DM were you able to choose a weapon better suited for long range shooting like an M14 or something similar instead or along with your M16
I don't know any people who would actually tell people this I totally respect that DevilDogGamer Semper Fi Marine! I got Total Respect for you (Salute to you) .
Hey Marine, if you don't feel comfortable with answering questions then don't. It's no one's business but yours. Being a former combative Marine myself I know the annoyance of those questions and how difficult it is to release that information to people. You're doing a great job with these videos. I'm just going through all your old videos while I'm off work from an work relative injury. I have to thank you for these videos for they have kept me busy for a couple days now. SEMPER FI brother.
what made you decide to get out after 4 years instead of making a career out of it? im in pretty much the same boat you were, aside from me not going infantry ive always wanted to be a Marine and ive always wanted to make a career out of it. I go to Parris Island in a little less than 2 weeks also and i have an Engineering contract
I don't know why everyone asks you that question man it's none of their business you're fucking awesome and I respect you majorly I love hearing your stories
I have lots of respect for u devildog, but i would like to say, i know marines r bad ass & trained in a completely different way then another branch of the service, HOWEVER i cant agree that ANY branch is any better then any other branch, all troops have a job to do, might not b as hard or difficult as the next persons, but served is served, i respect ALL troops, dont matter there branch, i look at all of them the same, with lots of respect for what they have CHOSE to do for our country, lots of love to u & ur family DD, god bless u for everything u have done :))
My great grandparents died in ww2 my grandparents never new their parents, my dad would have joined the army, but his parents wouldn't let him, well, because their parents died in ww2 or some shit like that...
The way my dad explained it you never ask any veteran about what combat or about how many guys theve killed you only ask them about there freinds and funny stuff . IF you ever ask a veteran how many people hes killed youve only played cod and youre a sterotype to me that will never change
Please answer this....I'm.thinking of joining the USMC Can u give me.advice or tips to better prepare my self and what were the hardship u faced in the marines
As for the kills thing I am okay with your answers. Do I wish you would open up more? yes, as a caring human being and a future Marine (I gave them my goddamn medical release 3 months ago and my recruiter STILL hasnt gotten my papers) I wish to know what its like, the after effects, do they really stay with you forever? Shocking? Good or bad feeling? I ask these things because even though i got an ASVAB score of 82 I am still doing 03XX. hopefully 0351, but there are no guarantees.
You know, if I met someone and found out they were in the Marines, the first thing I would say is "Thank you for serving", not ask what must be the single most awkward question someone could ask you.
I understand why people would ask you they did it to my dad all the time to and most of em right when they met him and he told me that it bug him to alot and sometimes he would have really bad nightmares about it. So dnt worry about that
I feel like unless someone was a PoG in the marines, the answer to "have you ever killed anyone," is a given. That being since when you are a grunt you have to do what you got to do to survive a mission. At least from what I have heard but then again, what do I know?
Hey devil dog just wondering if u know if u can get into the Abrams from the marines and also if u can use it as what u want like u could with infantry
Hey ddg, I know this is an old vid but I just wanted to say(and I hope I speak for a lot of your subs out there) that I would never pass judgement on you for anything you did in combat. Nice game-play! Sorry for some of your friends, they must have been pretty damn brave!
R.I.P
I don't ask if they killed someone, I usually ask which branch, what their position was, and what exactly they did there. Always interested me.
Another good cure for a cold, try firing or being the loader on a carl gustav m48 =) blows everything out
I am the same way all I can talk about is joining the Marines it been my life long dream
my grandpa didnt do the gas chamber. when he was at basic for the airforce the tubes or whatever lets it in was frozen, lucky day for him
I have lots of respect for u devildog, but i would like to say, i know marines r bad ass & trained in a completely different way then another branch of the service, HOWEVER i cant agree that ANY branch is any better then any other branch, all troops have a job to do, might not b as hard or difficult as the next persons, but served is served, i respect ALL troops, dont matter there branch, i look at all of them the same, with lots of respect for what they have CHOSE to do for our country, lots of love to u & ur family DD, god bless u for everything u have done :))
Yeah I lost a friend in front of me "OH BABY A TRIPLE!!" yeah it was pretty rough
"CS Gas and Tear Gas is pretty fun" .Bro, You've got a fucked definition of fun. Lol.
Stay tough dude! Love the videos.

Sorry for your losses
Huh.. every kill I got, I'd scratch a tally mark into the receiver of my 240.
Devil dog all respect to you
@TheDevildogGamer I can't decide whether to go to Marines or Army can you help?
You know, if I met someone and found out they were in the Marines, the first thing I would say is "Thank you for serving", not ask what must be the single most awkward question someone could ask you.
Any tips for preventing injuries?
I understand why people would ask you they did it to my dad all the time to and most of em right when they met him and he told me that it bug him to alot and sometimes he would have really bad nightmares about it. So dnt worry about that

"You don't join the Marines to bake cakes" Fucking perfect. I love it. Best way to shut anyone up who asks stupid questions like that
still wish they didnt find out about my surgery would love to become a Marine.
Question for you. Would you ever consider reenlisting in another branch or back in the marines
strato jet I have seen enough to answer for you: He would go through boot camp 15 times to go back in the Marines.
Whatever helps him not go insane for seeing people he talked to one day die the next is fine with me.
and here is a good one, if you saw an in surgeon dragging one of his wounded away would you kill him or "honor" him?
I never understood this? do marines usually kill people and like how many does an average one kill?
you should tell more stories like that its intresting
much respect devildog
You don't join the marines to bake cakes that put a smile on my face.
I'm not sure, but probable in his late 80's. He died in 08,
2021 videos are still nooce
Hey devil dog just wondering if u know if u can get into the Abrams from the marines and also if u can use it as what u want like u could with infantry
You can, but it's a limited MOS. If you want to go armor, go Army. Armor MOSs are HARD to get.
Nice vid
Try PM him or ask on a newer video.
Would army rangers have to go to boot camp for the marines or no
whoa ive watched your channel sense you had 100 subs now you have 710,000
this is a good video
Hey what if you have asthma? Is everything the same as someone without it? Like PT and the gas chamber?
hay what is the differnce between the navy and the marines
5:12-5:39
Out of context this is hilarious
Ooohhhh nice!
How did the marine corps change your life?
i salute you
