I know a bunch of railfans are saying "stop calling it this generation horn or this gen". I don't know for sure if the generation actually refers specifically to the way horns have been tuned throughout the years but that's the way it seems. Anyways, my question, since a 1st gen K5LA is a Wide Font ( not sure about narrow font ) having just wide font and no raised letter bells, and a 3rd gen is a raised letter horn having all raised letter bells, is a 2nd generation K5LA actually a narrow font, mix of raised letter and non-raised letter bells, or is "2nd gen" just a name given for the tuning of the 2nd gen K5LAs? For reference, CDTX 6903 has a 1st gen, 6901 has a 2nd gen, and 6951 - as well as all the Siemens chargers - have 3rd gens.
