The songs go through the album in order but for ease of use here you go: 0:00 Reel Around the Fountain 0:06 You've Got Everything Now 0:12 Miserable Lie 0:18 Pretty Girls Make Graves 0:24 The Hand That Rocks the Cradle 0:30 This Charming Man
Strangeways is my favorite album of all time but self-titled is amazing as well, it's so poignant, poetic, and atmospheric, and set such a strong starting point for The Smiths..
Ain't no way I'm blazed relaxing to Suffer Little Children, a song about murdered kids. "Over the moor, take me to the moor Dig a shallow grave And I'll lay me down Lesley-Anne, with your pretty white beads Oh John, you'll never be a man And you'll never see your home again Oh Manchester, so much to answer for Edward, see those alluring lights? Tonight will be your very last night A woman said: "I know my son is dead" "I'll never rest my hands on his sacred head""
I like this album Aton, but it sickens me what the meaning behind “Suffer little children” is. (it’s based on the moor murders, a couple who would kidnap and murder children (12-17) and Burry the body’s on a piece of land called “saddleworth moor” (Myra Hindley and Ian Brady)
I can never listen to Suffer Little Children like that Incase people don’t know it based off of the Moors Murders back in the 1960s in Manchester when a few kids and a couple of teens were murdered and buried on the saddleworth moor Apparently Morrissey met one of the relatives of a dead victim and the relative was pissed off thinking he was taking the piss and Moz had to explain the purpose of why he released the song

Hahhaa yes. Still a calming song though. A ballad to children that have been taken from life far too young... beautiful song.
Me personally, "This Charming Man" makes me want to full throttle a Skyline GTR on the Autobahn with my crazy friends and scream happily
It's crazy how every song is about being gay except the last one which is about child murder
This album is literally the smiths at their gayest
One after the other gay gay gay
The first one is clearly about an abuse by an older person to an younger
And that's why they're brilliant, the smiths can make you feel every emotion in an 1hr
Nice. Cant wait for when you're gonna do Strangeways.
i love your pfp
@@popperoniii Thanks dude
Rubber soul best album
so much to answer for
All of the videos you've made about them are so accurate
Still spot on, that’s impressive
This video is amazing. The creator REALLY knows the Smiths and made ALL the pieces of yhe puzzle 🧩 fit like a montage.
Hand in Glove and Still Ill the best
ME FR what a album, love the smiths
Best debut album ever, even though it wasn't their best album ever.
