Elio is one of those guys, for whom i'd agree to be a pretty meaningless fling, even if i knew he loves someone else and it's not gonna change, but it's this kind of old soul personality that actually makes you feel something i think.

Maybe they thought the original commenter was making an assumption based off of relationships they’ve had in real life. They didn’t know that they said they were straight. Plus, people always assume sexualities. I mean, people assume straight by default all the time. Hell, you’re assuming right they had that piece of information prior to commenting.
People might assume you’re a Muslim if you wear a scarf like a hijab. People might assume you’re an employee at Target if you’re wearing all red. People might assume you speak a certain language if you have a certain look (very common where I live).
People are going to assume, and that’s life. And, because why not say this as a shield even though identity is meaningless in this, I’m trans, gay, and black. People make assumptions about me all the time, and I don’t see anything wrong with it.
I hope the sequel come the next year or at least this century :c

For me, the most beautiful moment in the film is at the very end in the fireplace scene. Elio's Mother calls his name and then calls his name a second time. Elio/Timothée (using actor terminology) "breaks the fourth wall" and looks directly into the camera. To me he is saying, you have seen my journey, I brought you along and you are welcome to be here.

the magic in this video is immaculate 😌✨✌️
the reason this movie was so good was not only because of the dialogue but also because of the chemistry and the touching and the body language the actors did a good job it’s one of my favorite movies of all time. Elliot’s portrayal was so great because it felt like he really wanted to be with him all the time 24/7 , it makes me have a longing feeling. Amazing really amazing❤️

What's so powerful is that it's true honest and intense love, there is no deceit or lies like so many other ""romance"" movies where it's just toxic from the get go, you can imagine anyone replacing Elio and Oliver and it would be as intense, it's not a gay romance movie it's universal, and that's the reason why it moved me and excited me so much
This movie made me want to go to italy and wrote an album in a month✨
