Im going with the Fifine K668. Great video dude im gunna subscribe if i see you pop up again. Ive watched your videos a few times just from showng up in the search results.
Wow, you are literally amazing! The effort you put into this video, editing alone would take tops 3 hours for me aha, plus the description adding the US and UK amazon links is a nice touch. Loving this video so much, sadly this only has 30,000 views currently.
Damn, yeah the effort you've put into those videos do deserve a lot more recognition aha. I love how you do a sole review on each microphone as well and this one, its almost like a contents page of a book, really useful. Thanks.
I really liked the GoMic on the acoustic... So clean and nice. I agree with this list, even though since I am an aesthetics chump I bought the Snowball :V
Still no BM-800? Let's hope for a under $25 microphone video! 😂 Still a good watch Bandrew, your style of review is different and amazing! 😊 EDIT: I am blind, they are USB mics... Sorry! 😂
Still reviewing Mic review vids. Really like what you are doing here with these reviews. Your videos are by far the most entertaining to watch and they give me enough information to go on based off the different sound tests. = )
Extremely helpful. A direct comparison of mics with no post production editing. I wanted to start a podcast, not learn to be a sound engineer! Bought the go-mic, works great. Set the mic as recording and playback defaults, .8 recording level, orientated it 12” away at 45 degrees to my pie-hole...bingo! I record, warts and all, no post production and the sound is very good. Thanks!
Hmm, for the most part the majority of these sound pretty good, but I wonder, do you (or anyone reading this) know which would be the best for a VERY small work space? In my case, my mac is under my loft in a small, one person only bedroom. Now I don't intend on playing music or yelling, just simply, talking, maybe laughing, but not yelling. Would the Samson Go still be your number one choice or would a runner up be a better pick? Keep in mind, I'm talking a cramped, one person work space, so the echoing/reverb will be different than simply, having a computer against a wall in a moderately sized room.
IK how much time this video took. THank you for spending your day saying the same thing over and over into different mics. THANK YOU very helpful video
been subscribed for a while, always try to watch your videos whenever you upload them. could you advise me on the best mic to get richer bassier vocals? or with at least with much less sibilance? i have a budget of about 250 dollars. i own an at2020 already, a behringer xm8500 and a mxl bcd-1.
MezmerizedCA hey, unrelated to your question, but could you tell me how the MXL mic worked for you? did you like it? I just ordered one blind since there's hardly any mention of it online.
asdf4455Gamez yeah, i'm not gonna go into extreme detail or anything but for a DYNAMIC broadcast mic it's extremely odd in the way it sounds. SO MUCH SIBILANCE. i've heard someone use it before, and it sounded great but on my voice it's disgusting. i guess, unless you have an actual movie announcer voice it'll be a shit choice for you. my behringer xm8500 sounds 20x better on my voice at 1/7 of the cost. much more flat and realistic sounding, and you can still get that proximity effect.
MezmerizedCA alright interesting. Well I'll see how it sounds for me when it gets here. worst case scenario, I return it and buy something cheaper. thanks for the info. really appreciate it.
Thank you very much man! That really does mean a LOT to me. I try to keep these videos as short as possible, and as to the point as possible. Really happy to hear you find it entertaining as well. Thank you!
Good morning Bro. Quick Question: Many podcast shows now include field interviews, meaning I will need a portable Mic to record those. What cheap/ entry level option do I have for both purposes? Or I would necessarily have to buy two Mics? Thank you much. PS.- I was looking into the Zoom H1, but I'm not sure since I have seen videos in which they attach external microphones to it. Happy New Year!
is there a real difference between Samcon Go Mic and SAMSON METEORITE ? they cost the same but which is better? want to buy one for classic guitar recording
amazingly awesome production quality neat behind the scene planning and execution 😁 very practical tests and a fair verdict!! 👏☺ ✌☺ (at this point i am becoming addicted to these episodes)
Very helpful! But for a noob, the gain %, what is its importance? A high gain used but still keeping a low background noise is a good thing I take it? Having it set to a low gain but still having the mic pic up voice good, is also a good thing? Sorry if my questions makes no sense
Cool, thanks! Looks like Ill be taking a closer look at the Samson Go Mic. Or the Audio Technica ATR2500USB because I watched your under 100 video and it just sounded great to me
I have idea for next video :) Can U try to connect usb mic maybe Samson c01u Pro to some android phone by OTG cable? I wonder how it works and with which apps :)
Hey Podcastage! Does XLR Cable quality important? Does cheap XLR cables (in Aliexpress it's about 3$) makes too much noise? Can you make a video about XLR Cables quality? Thank you so much
I have about 6 different xlr cables I bought for that purpose. Never got around to it. I'll try to make it. Need to find way for it to be interesting, and what tests will demonstrate quality.
Podcastage I am sorry :D my bad, maybe you could think about doing a video about a budget XLR, as they are already usually cheaper than their USB versions
I've been using a neewer nw-700 for like a year now and I would like to upgrade it to one with less noise. I was hoping to see the Samson Meteor on this video, but then I found that Samsong Go cutie in front of me. Both of them cost the same on my country, 48€ (in fact, the Go costs 1ct cheaper). Which one of those two would you pick?
Podcastage What microphone in this video is good for gaming commentary cause I am thinking the Samson Go mic because I travel a lot What do you think???
I love the musical portion of the show SourPls Thanks for the amazing reviews. I've been getting audio equipment questions from friends streaming on twitch lately and I refer them directly to your channel. Seriously good information.
Hi podcastage, im getting a new mic soon but don't know what microphone to get since im on a tight budget within about £24 for the mic and and extra £13 - £15 on any accessories needed. Please could you help as im not happy with the current mic that i have and I just want something that looks and sounds decent. Thanks
Hello everyone! Which one microphone is the best for recording technology reviews on RUclips? My budget is 40$ what should I choose? Fifine K669 Fifine K056 Samson Go Samson Meteorite
Thank you for this video. I found it very helpful in setting up my new Logitech webcam 920. I also have the Samson Go mic which works perfectly with it. :) YaY! Now I can see and hear my autoharp when I record. :)
Samson GoMike is killa ^^^ a really natural well balanced warm tone ^^^ get some nice free vst plugin 4 good Post-Proc N you'll have a very cool setup ...the thing i like with that one is that it sits really well anywhere on the desk N it has these 3 capsule setting (Cardio/Padding/Omni) No need 4 invasive mike stand
i'm from India and I'm still confused between samson go and ice.I'm buying mic for making Singing Videos.I'll be recoring in my room which have a lot of furniture and the reverb is almost none. My instruments of choice will be acoustic. Please suggest me.
The samson go mic is the best imo.
That's How a Review is TRULY Done. However I'm Watching from Italy So Sorry for NOT Using Any of Your Linjk.
Pasquale Cioffi ciao 👋

Well, you my friend, are too kind. This one took about 6 hours for me to make. The USB under $100 took a total of 9-10 hours I think.
Damn, yeah the effort you've put into those videos do deserve a lot more recognition aha. I love how you do a sole review on each microphone as well and this one, its almost like a contents page of a book, really useful. Thanks.
Haha, Nice to see my Mic win a competition. I own the GoMic.
I just got one today
I really liked the GoMic on the acoustic... So clean and nice.
I agree with this list, even though since I am an aesthetics chump I bought the Snowball :V
Still no BM-800? Let's hope for a under $25 microphone video! 😂
Still a good watch Bandrew, your style of review is different and amazing! 😊
EDIT: I am blind, they are USB mics... Sorry! 😂
Drawyah Games well the BM-800 isn't USB. that being said, I do wanna see it in a price comparison video.
Ooooohhhhhh! I missed out they were USB mics. My full apologies! 😂
I`d say the GoMic is clearly the best.
Still reviewing Mic review vids.
Really like what you are doing here with these reviews. Your videos are by far the most entertaining to watch and they give me enough information to go on based off the different sound tests.
= )
can you do a versus series of the Samson Go mic and the BM 800
Eli Romero he can do a jack microphone video and compare the two winners, or something similar.
Great tests. You are the most informative and the most professional mic tester on RUclips :) Thanks for the great job.
Thank you very much!
Extremely helpful. A direct comparison of mics with no post production editing. I wanted to start a podcast, not learn to be a sound engineer! Bought the go-mic, works great. love this series
Thanks for doing these. Any thoughts on the winners of these USB comparisons vs a budget XLR setup such as the Neewer NW-800 and a Behringer UM2?
I love your reviews. No bs in the beginnings straight to the good shit. Testing more than just your voice from up-close and far away. Thank you!
Best Mic comparison video I have seen
Thanks so much.
The k668 sounded pretty sharp for $20. add a pop filter and im sold. What turned you away from it?
which mic is better for a macbook pro a Logitech Konami USB Mic or a SF922b?Pls respond as soon as possible. : )
Hmm, for the most part the majority of these sound pretty good, but I wonder, do you (or anyone reading this) know which would be the best for a VERY small work space? perfect, concise, substantial video, with excellent tests. this is the benchmark
The SF922b was surprisingly good. Would have been great if you talked about it at the end, cos I think you totally ignored it Lol!
I did a full review of it on the channel.
IK how much time this video took. THank you for spending your day saying the same thing over and over into different mics. THANK YOU very helpful video
Thanks for all the effort you put into these reviews. I've found them very helpful.
I love this channel, my mic recently died and this is the perfect video for me! Thank you for the hard work and multiple scenarios!
Happy to help.
Truly informative video. I did not expect Samson Go would be that good
I just picked up a Blue Snowball ICE on EBAY for $26!
😒
***** :)
i got a normal blue snowball the white one on ebay for 29$ because they thought it was the ice version
:D
toot1231 The Ice is $95 on Ebay!
I really appreciate your helpful information! especially the well organized description with the different sections! great videos! subbed!
You really should have more subs man! The quality of your content is really good
!
Thank you kindly!
Excellent review! Every youtuber doing a review needs to learn from this video.
Do you still recommend the Samson GO over other budget mics?
been subscribed for a while, always try to watch your videos whenever you upload them. could you advise me on the best mic to get richer bassier vocals? or with at least with much less sibilance? i have a budget of about 250 dollars.

Classic Bandrew, I love this video, I wish everyone got down to business on their videos like this.
You are truly doing gods work.
Seems like Samson makes some great budget microphones. Thanks for these videos!
You have the most entertaining style of reviewing! Thanks for your input on samson go. Was looking for that specifically
Thank you very much man! That really does mean a LOT to me. I try to keep these videos as short as possible, and as to the point as possible. Really happy to hear you find it entertaining as well. Thank you!
Sorry for the inactivity on your channel! Lately I've been busy with life and it looks like I need to binge watch your videos in the weekend!
I know how that goes. welcome back.
Thanks :) and looking forward to these best mics for under 50 or 100$. By the way will you be making videos like this at the end of every year?
Possibly. I think once a year may be a good rule to follow.
When I heard the acoustic guitar and your singing on the Go Mic, wow... So much fuller sounding.
Yeah it's a GREAT sounding mic.
If I had to record field interviews, I would likely use the Zoom H1 and just use that mic for the field interviews.
Thanks much. Should I start with Audacity? Or is there another easier editing free software?
If you have a Mac, I would say GarageBand. But if not, then audacity seems to be popular.
By the way, your channel is awesome. It is easy to learn from your great personality. Thanks again.
Thanks so much Mario. That really means a lot!
Now that's some top tier mic testing.
is there a real difference between Samcon Go Mic and SAMSON METEORITE ? they cost the same but which is better? want to buy one for classic guitar recording
amazingly awesome production quality
neat behind the scene planning and execution 😁
very practical tests and a fair verdict!! 👏☺ ✌☺
(at this point i am becoming addicted to these episodes)
Is the samson go mic good for rapping?
And that's.... ladies and gentlemen... how you make a great informative review -_-
👌🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much! That means a lot! =) I tried to cut out all the filler and get right to the point.
Very helpful! But for a noob, the gain %, what is its importance? A high gain used but still keeping a low background noise is a good thing I take it? Having it set to a low gain but still having the mic pic up voice good, is also a good thing? Sorry if my questions makes no sense
Low gain% means typically less background noise (hiss). That's preferable.
Cool, thanks! Looks like Ill be taking a closer look at the Samson Go Mic. Or the Audio Technica ATR2500USB because I watched your under 100 video and it just sounded great to me
Wow! I never heard about the Samson Go Mic... Thanks for this video! :D
Would you go for the Samson Go Mic or go with a BM 800 and then upgrade with a phantom power supply, (Gaming).
I personally prefer XLR mics so I would PERSONALLY go bm800 with a USB Audio Interface.
Thanks a lot for this video! Probably going to buy the Samson Go Mic
Your videos are just amazing, so much good quality reviews and information.
Thank you kindly!
Now that is how you do a review. Great job!
I'm so happy I chose the best even though this video wasn't up❤️ love your videos I can see how much effort you put in these it's amazing!!!
Thank you kindly. Happy that you got a good one! =)
Damn samSON! They keep winning all these vs videos.
seems like the SF-922B is best, at least for just voice.
I have idea for next video :) Can U try to connect usb mic maybe Samson c01u Pro to some android phone by OTG cable? I wonder how it works and with which apps :)
SF922b vs BM 8000 Which it is better for you!?
I appreciate all you hard work, thank for these videos
Thank you for the kind words my friend.
Amazing video bro!

Another question to both this and
Because if you look at the titles, these are best USB mics. The NW-700 is not a USB mic, it is an XLR mic.
Podcastage I am sorry :D my bad, maybe you could think about doing a video about a budget XLR, as they are already usually cheaper than their USB versions

great review!!! well done
I'm gonna purchase the Samson Go Mic, but i don't wanna buy a popfilter, are there any other alternatives? or do you think its fine without?
Don't speak directly into it. Put it off the side.
A foam windscreen maybe.
Amazing video !
What USB Mic would you recommend for singing/rapping under $50?
Samson go is very good
Wonderful review
This is such a great video wow.
excellent excellent excellent video thank you, you helped me out alot
Thank you very much Sean. That really means a lot. Very happy to help.
Should i get Samson Go Mic or Blue snow ball ICE?
AceWare
I think GoMic
What program do you record into? I have an apple laptop, what would you suggest?
For tests, I record to quicktime. I suggest garageband to start out with. Free, and really easy, and really powerful.
Podcastage hi what would you recommend for windows ?
the samson go needs an amplifier and/or an external soundcard or its good enough without them?
It's a USB mic. You plug it into your USB port.
very, very helpful
If I have an audio interface that you own, the beringer one, would i need a usb adapter?
no
Are you adjusting the gain in Windows or a program like Audacity?
No. raw audio. I use MAC not windows.
