김수미님의 고향 전북 군산은 수미님이 어릴적만 해도 부자들만 모여산다는 큰 항구에 속하는 곳으로 해산물이 풍부하고 자체적으로도 풍요로운곳이다 보니 농사도 밭농사도 잘되기 때문에 그런 재료획득이 쉬었던거임. 그래서 육수를 만들어 부으시는걸 배우신거임.
전주분이신 울엄마도 육수 만들어 붓진 않으심. 저건 지역적 특색인거임. 수미님 김치소는 좀 더 뻑뻑함. 그리해야 육수를 부었을때 질퍽해지지 않으니까요.
대신 고춧가루를 많이 넣기 때문에 거기로 흡수가 다 되면서 배추에도 양념이 골고루 다 스며드는거임.

@@user-es1tv6fe4r 깍두기처럼 무가 주재료인 김치는 빨리 발효돼서 풀을 안 넣어도 되는 걸로 알아요~ 하지만 겨울 김치를 담그면 풀을 넣는 게 좋겠죠
여름 김치에 보리풀을 넣는 경우가 있는데 보리가 찹쌀보다 탄수화물 비율이 적기 때문에 발효가 느려지기 때문이에요
This is one of my favorite videos. She had invited you to make Kimchi when she does a large amount (knowing her it was to get extra help lol) and then covid happened unfortunately. 저희 외가쪽, 친가쪽 다 소에 육수넣고 걸쭉하게 만들어서 절임배추에 바르는식으로 김장을 해와서 이 방법이 있는줄은 지금 처음 알았네요ㅋㅋ

@@furrantee yeah the spelling for the swear is sibbal vs 18 being sibpal which is kind of amusing. Though fuck in English isn't always bad so I'm just a bit confused. Maybe people in Korea don't swear as much??

Seriously!!! I feel like Ollie is really really working hard, despite not being fluent in Korean he researches about their guests beforehand for him to relate with during the proper interview/shoot. He compensates for his lack of fluency to his sincerity towards the guests. And this is why Josh and Ollie really work great together!!!

Jason Lee hes already super busy with editing and creating video ideas and opportunities, the amount of korean (albeit small) just shows his commitment to improve himself with his korean guests. It’s like if you’re working 12 hour days 7 days a week and you’re tryna learn korean on the side
Ollie is just literally my favourite person ever. 💙 Like even though he couldn't speak much Korean, you could tell she liked him. He just has this aura around him, to make you comfortable no matter the circumstance :)
