- This will show you how you can make changes to what displays in the title bar of your office 365 products such as Word, Onenote, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
You may have noticed that making a change to your name in your Microsoft account didn't change the display name in your Office products. The reason is; your name is in the registry on your computer and changing it in your office account doesn't change your registry on your computer.

To the point, not wasting time in verbosity. Thank you sir
Did not work. I think this only works if you sign into Windows with the same credentials as you sign into office. But if you sign into office with a different account then this doesn't fix the issue.
Clear and to the point. Thank you!
Thank you, this was so helpful! Does anyone know how I change the photo next to the name on the title bar?
Excellent. Thanks.
LEGEND!! Thank you!!

Thanks!
Legend ! Cheers for posting this video.
You are welcome
i tried but did not work
Finally someone who knows how to help
YOOOOO THIS IS FIREEE
I need help! Once I get to "office" the only choice is "Common" and when
I click on that, the only choice is “WindowsOOBE” and nothing else. I
definitely have 365. So why can't I see the different versions you show
on your video? Thanks!
I also tried and could not work. Even though the name is changed in Identities, it still shows the original name in Powerpoint.
Agh, i cant find office under microsoft is internet explorer, protected storage system provider, windows and windows nt. Any help on what i should do?
You may be able to make the change in settings. Click you onedrive icon in your systray and go to settings.
Can you get that auto-save button off the titlebar (in 2021 new stupid "update")?
On the right side of the titlebar, click the Upcoming Features icon. It looks like a cheerleader’s bullhorn. Scroll to the bottom and turn off ‘Try the new experience’. Restart the Office app. This also changes the layout of the Ribbon, but that is ok by me. Unfortunately, this will only work until Microsoft makes it a permanent feature.
Another side effect is that it causes the Quick Access Toolbar to display. Which for me is exactly what I want. I intentionally display it Above the Ribbon and add the following commands to it: Save, Close File, Undo, Redo, Print Preview and Print ('Print Preview and Print' is one command, not two).
I also like to go to File > Options > General and check the box for “Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default”. This causes only the magnifying icon to show until you click it.
@@Around_The_Home 100x better! Thank you.
