Nick you rockin that DJ Rick Webb haircut ! LFG !
This is such a niche comment and I am here for it lmao 😂
I've been DJing in NY clubs and for weddings since the mid 70s. Your channel is really awesome. Good honest tips and examples of how to do this. Thanks!!!
1:40 "you sound great, you sound great! Ill be back here if you need me!" JGirl - "Go and fakk yashelf arshhole" haha! Love it!
Yup. I always underestimate how long it takes to get speakers in and out of their covers, and then storing/finding a hiding spot for those speaker covers (especially those big sub covers) - walking them out to the vehicle, etc. Adds like 8-10 minutes for that alone. Seriously impressive what you guys did in this video bro! Good stuff
😊 great stuff, Nick and Company lol solid tips
Yep, have to do that down here in Florida sometimes too. Always with the good tips my man! 💪
Wonderful job bro
Happy holidays
I just DJ'ed a Wedding Ceremony/Recption last month where everything was in the same room. The setup didn't take long because I too pre staged my gear ahead of time. The tricky thing for me during setup was trying to avoid getting in the way of the Venue Staff changing the room from Ceremony to Reception (in a small space for everyone) and trying to be neat and quiet in front of the guest while still bluetoothing music to the one Ceremony Speaker. It took me around 30 minutes to set up by myself.
That's settles it, out with the table/facade combo and in will come the podium style setup. Not only looks better but easier to setup!
Hey Nick, you ever think about getting an all white decal for your MacBook? I think that would be the icing on the cake for your set up.
omg nostalgic stock music on the timelapse
Hey Nick, nice vid. what is the name of your DJ table and where did you buy it? Greetings from Germany
I've worked this venue here in the same rushed style, to be honest the speed the venue moved those tables motivated me to move fast too LOL
You’re amazing.
Another entertaining, yet informative video! This may seem like a silly question, but what do you feel is the biggest difference between hiring someone like yourself who works at a bigger event company vs going with a dj with less experience?
biggest difference is just what you said: experience, it makes a tremendous difference too
Oh this is great! What snow machine are you rocking?
Staging is a skill all performance professionals should master. It's crucial, especially in the theatre world, and more often these days - the wedding world as well.
That said?
Max Edge Booth
EV50s or RCF 8004/HD32A
Titan Tubes
IR4
Everse8 for fill
30 minute normal setup with one person. If using the EV it all fits on one cart/one trip. If RCF there are three trips into the building, but that doesn't count against setup time imo.
Like a Boss!!! 20 Minutes! :)
Hey Nick let me get the info on that snow machine 😊
Had a wedding this summer at a golf resort they brought the wedding cermony indoors because of weather. Left me a hour we set the speakers and trussing and lights but the had 2 tvs for video montages and a nimbus to heat up. Let just say cocktail ran extra 10 mins. They don't care in Jersey lol
New hairstyle
Where do you buy all you equipment from?
Nice doo
Hey Nick, I see you are using the 945’s instead for the HD45’a; do they sound better or louder? Still 8004 subs or 9004 now?
Yes I think they sound even better! Still have my 8004s
@@NickSpinelliwhat about the ld icoa?
What’s the snow machine?
i thought you were going to let the back grow to a full mullet? is that still in the plans?
What snow machine do you use?
Haircut 💇♂️ ha ha you look so different 😂
Makes him look more his younger self.
32 uplights? Wow
I’ll make sure things go according to plan…but… your gonna pay me what I’m worth…PERIOD!
i know he ain’t have his hair like that before 🤔
TBH , not really liking the hair Nick 😅😂
I agree, bring back the up do! 😅 Now just let the beard grow. Nice start though. 👊🏼
That's kind of a fake You Tube header. I thought you were going to do the whole enchilada. Taking gear out of the van and somehow transporting it all into the venue and setting up in 30 minutes. But you had all the shit already unloaded and tucked away.
