Oh my god after rewatching this a dozen times I finally figured out what happened in his brain!! When Slick Mickey shows him the card the first time Jerma was just switching to facecam, so he missed which card was picked up, then the revealed card blocks the card on the right. When Slick Mickey puts the card down again Jerma switches facecam AGAIN, not noticing where the card goes. So in his mind, the card is still on the right. Add his insane ADHD and already general lack of attention, and that's how you get this clip.
Honestly I had a blast with this game. It's a big mini game puzzle game. This is the first one just to set the tone but there's a point you gotta stop a baby from getting possessed by ghosts, pretend to be bad at hide and seek, and go on a date with a lonely hopeless romantic to boost his confidence.
I think I solved the problem. When the alligator showed the card, it was over top of the right card. Jerma must have looked away and assumed the card was just flipped, not realizing it was moved to the middle.
The only way that reaction could be justified is if you're paranoid like me and are used to games that would try and switch the cards just to troll you.
You can tell he was always watching the right most card. He probably looked at chat, saw the revealed queen on the rightmost side and then looked away again
I’m pretty sure he got confused cuz when the gator showed the card it was held on top of the rightmost card. And then he looked away from that to read the text and not noticed that it was the middle card not the right. And just focused on the right the whole time
okay my theory is that Jerma was watching, but kind of spaced out when the card was shown. Because the animation for the alligator flipping the card moves it *over* the card on the right, his brain just saw "card over right hand side" and didn't really think any further. That's why he selected the card on the right
the funniest thing about this is that if you hover your curser over the cards to the left and right Mickey makes a smug face and if you hover over the center he gets nervous and sweaty.
