this is super fun to watch, well done! still watching so i'll probably have more thoughts but the play where you chained cloudy canvas effects to thunder dragons around 29:28 to make titan miss timing was brilliant--I never realized it was a "when" effect!
This video must've been a lot of work. Thank you so much for sharing. I loved it and I just started a new account after being away frm Yugioh a year. I'm definetely going to start with Weather Painters!
LOL worst part is that that's one of the deck's greatest strengths, and being able to use the right effect from the right little guy in response to what your opponent is doing navigating each matchup differently is what makes it so fun for me. But for sure it can be annoying in Master Duel. But switching your settings to stop asking you is always worse imo because you can miss important response timings...
my hero , can't wait for next weather painter support , also there was a lot of cards you were swapping in and out (ruinick engine , invoker) , would like to know the thought process behind it , its really interesting
The thought process behind including a Runick variant was: Weather Painters starting play usually involves having any painter and snowy canvas on field. That is usually achieved by normal summoning Snow / any canvas + Thunder / any painter + field spell. However that is not terribly consistent so by adding Runick any runick card became a starter alongside Thunder (one runick fusion can search for a continuous spell to serve as fodder for Thunder effect), as well as along Aurora which can get a free Tribute from the Runick ED monster (so now you have even more starters, and even if you brick, 2-3 runick spells can get you draw for virtually free which usually means you will unbrick almost guaranteed). Furthermore, everyone in MD is running heavy backrow removal (Harpies' Feather Duster, Lightning Storm) so the protection that Runick provide vs destruction effects is pretty nice. Runick stuff also serves to bait Ash Blossom and Maxx C beautifully. Lastly if you can benefit from the insane draw power of the Runick engine you can abuse it similar to what Runick Spright does, as WP can very much be played in a similar control style, while the downside of losing a battle phase is somewhat minimal if you manage to buy time to flood the board and get control of the game meanwhile. In the end though it is not terribly consistent and I believe next MD banlist is hitting a bunch of Runick cards so idk if it will be viable going forward. The Invoked engine is an idea I explored back in my Subterror Guru video back in 2018 where I added Invoked + Destrudo w/Ancient Fairy Dragon package for decks that really want to see their field spell, while providing an extra negate in the form of Mechaba (if you run Runick as well any Runick can be fodder for Mechaba light material) which can usually hit the board more consistently than Rainbow on turn 1 and helps hold off initial aggression. AFD extra summon and The Weather Forecast fieldspell then make up for using your normal summon on Aleister. It ends up falling short in the same way the Runick package did though, even though it is amazing fun and opens cool lines of play, it will also be prone to brick even more than usual, and WP is already a bricky deck so ultimately I think pure might still be better.
I just build my WP deck in Real life and your videos helps me very much! how you play and activate in much situations is so damn smart! how many losses you got on the road to plat1 ?
You're such a genius with this deck, highest I could get with WP was Plat II but wasn't really trying to climb. You think pure WP is able to get to D1 now that Spright's released? And any plans on the next video? Hope to see more soon.
What would you replace for Terramorfing? It is banned in Limited on MD :( Would you consider something new 1 year later for 2024 meta? btw Im crafting your list in MD. Really love the effort for the video. Thanks!
Monster effects can be activated under skill drain. Since they banish themselves as cost, skill drain won't affect and negate them during resolution, as the weather painter will be then in the banish zone.
It really is meta dependant. Weather Painters used to struggle quite a bit with getting OTK'd in the past as their turn 1 used to be super weak but now that's not the case as often anymore, also again is meta dependant but a lot of times if you are gonna get otk'd they will probably have a negate as backup which makes battle fader super dead as "baiting" negates with WPs early is not too easy
The play with ancient fairy dragon is beautiful, hands down greatest weather painter player i've ever seen
man, what a good channel!

ancient fairy dragon is also so cool!! the field spell search and the special from hand are so welcome
Glad to found this channel
lol I love that @38:18 the music changed

yugnar you are some incredible player. this is at the level of arts
Love the ost, now makes me want to sub again for ff14 lol
Really helps me play WP better and cool music too. GJ
I dont really utilize my non weather painter extra deck monsters as much as you do, I must say I'm impressed
Please continue playing!!!😢😢😢🎉🎉😊😊
I tired playing this deck in solo mode and having every card have a quick effect stressed me out. You must have a lot of patience

@@YugnarYTyeah in master duel I’ll get fatigue after like 3 duels if I had to play with this deck lol
i'm very impression the way you survival and combo with this deck
Just recently made my weather painter deck and you do some things I don't even consider in some games i have much to learn with it.

@@YugnarYT very insightfull , THANKS !
I'm Impressed. Got yourself a sub. Oddly enough i can make the 50 card version easily just need some staple and tech. Great play nonetheless
I wanna a match with tears!!!
I wish more about your game, master weather!!!

If yiu wound up playing any rounds against a Sunavalon player, hello there, XD.
do you have any tutorial video for weather deck?
What’s the deck list?
Why do you never link into rainbow going first
What's the reasoning for not running ash blossom? Would you put it back into your deck with all the purrely running around
There were better options in the Spright format, it's meta dependant if it works well in current format go for it for sure.
Per chance a BGM list?
Oh forgive me I'm blind
Please more waterpainters videos
You need a guide!
how can you activate thunder effect even with skill drain on the feel?
It technically is using the effect of a spell rather than a monster, just how Weather Painters work
Monster effects can be activated under skill drain. Since they banish themselves as cost, skill drain won't affect and negate them during resolution, as the weather painter will be then in the banish zone.
Whyd u remove battle fader

@@YugnarYT would you recommend it in today's meta?
Good video but where is your monster RA in your decklist, finally your decklist is wrong.
You will add the handtraps yourself, in addition to the deck provided
why no new videos
Damn 14:22 reducing her points so she could attack directly genius! 🤍
