wow, you actually gave a proper explanation of what order flow is how to read the charts unlike a number of other videos I saw. Thanks, I finally understood what this order flow thing is all about.
wait ask are the buyers and bidders are the sellers ? is it opposite in level 2 order book ? cause i trade off level 2 and time and sales and ive been known that ask are sellers and bids are buyers
There's two kinds of buyers and two kinds of sellers, passive and aggressive. Passive buyers and sellers use limit orders. Those limit orders are shown in Level 2 and 3 price books and order books. Passive buyers create bids. Passive sellers create asks. Aggressive buyers fill asks. Aggressive sellers fill bids. Usually (there are some exceptions) each trade has an aggressive side and a passive side. So without context, "buyers" and "sellers" are ambiguous terms. But most often, in general, those words refer to the aggressive types, the market movers, the ones who actively move the price by filling the limit orders you see in the level 2 and 3 data. GL
Why the sells are green coloured and the bids are red coloured? It should be vice versa, because bids are buyers, which means the price will go up and the contrary for asks. Or? 3:25
The colors match the aggressive side of the trade, the side that moves the price. Bids are red because they are filled by aggressive sellers who will move the price down. Asks are green because aggressive buyers fill asks, and filling asks what moves the price up. Red/green is not universal, red/blue, black/white, are common too. I know others who use different colors.
Hi there, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, I don't know of any free platforms that offer reliable footprint or order flow charts. In my experience, these types of charts are usually only available through paid charting platforms or brokerages.
Thanks a lot. I am based in Mumbai, India. Do they have support for Indian stock exchanges, Indian indices, stock etc. Secondly its pricing is in US dollars. Do they offer their products in Indian currencies. Best regards, D M Roy. c
Hi, the assignment to bid or ask is based on the tick location relative to the spread, right? How are transactions that occur inside the spread treated? Are they discarded? Thanks
FX Spot Market shows the price ticks, not the lots (volume/contract) sizes as volume and these are not split by bid/ask. Will this apply only in FX Futures?
Hi, does your order flow sw visualize directly the difference between the bid and ask orders? Just to have quick visualization of the buyers/sellers force. Where these data come from? Futures? Are realiable data or approximate? Thank you
I bought your TDOF but the summary is unreadable, everything is displayed very small. When I increase the writing size the setting disappears when I click on another window.
I use it in addition to supply/demand and price action to confirm my long term trades are going to tp by checking big volumes of orders are placed in my direction.
Brother, I admire you so much. How can I become like you? If there is a course you took, please tell me. I have many difficulties to try my best. Please tell me the course you took. I will not forget you.
Hmmm.... Price action will always be king. If you want to be successful at trading, understand how price moves and behaves at various price points. I think this order flow thing is a gimmick
I appreciate your perspective on the importance of price action in trading. Price action analysis is indeed a valuable approach to understanding market dynamics and making trading decisions. However, I respectfully disagree with the notion that order flow is a gimmick. Order flow analysis complements price action analysis by providing insights into the actual buying and selling activity in the market. It helps traders understand the dynamics between buyers and sellers, the strength of market participants, and potential areas of supply and demand imbalance. By analyzing order flow, traders can gain a deeper understanding of market liquidity, trade execution patterns, and market sentiment. It can provide valuable information for identifying high-probability trading opportunities and managing risk more effectively. While price action analysis remains a crucial aspect of trading, integrating order flow analysis into your trading methodology can enhance your overall trading edge. It's important to explore and utilize various tools and techniques to develop a well-rounded trading approach. I encourage you to keep an open mind and explore different trading methodologies to find what works best for you. Both price action and order flow analysis have their merits and can be powerful tools in the hands of a skilled trader. 💪
Orderflow is essentially the same thing as price action but with more details, details that are very useful and can make any PA strategy more precise. It's not a gimmick if pros in the banks, hedge funds, and other institutional trading deals use it heavily. It's a gimmick if you are not open to expanding your skills and knowledge. GL
You don’t know what you are talking about, first of all order flow trading is not an indicator it does not lag it gives more details of who is controlling the price

Hello does orderflow work on US30 CFD INDEX? or it works only on futures?
Thanks for the content, i am wondering if US option trading will have volume order flow like those? Thanks
FX Spot Market shows the price ticks, not the lots (volume/contract) sizes as volume and these are not split by bid/ask. Will this apply only in FX Futures?
Yes. FX futures data shows volume in contracts traded on the exchange, unlike OTC FX.

No.
But it is like a very detailed volume profile on each bar with exact volume of bids and asks filled at each price during that bar.
@@tyrenottire I’m asking because you can use fixed range volume profile to find out the bids and ask inside each candle too
