  • Guys...I know...this SkinCare Saturday video is a long one...but once you start watching it you will see why. In today's SkinCare Saturday video we are testing The Roc...again. Except this time we are testing eight products from their "Deep Wrinkle" line. I will be testing the Deep Wrinkle Non-Invasive Targeted Patches, the Deep Wrinkle Facial Filler, the Deep Wrinkle Anti-Aging Night Cream, the Deep Wrinkle Retinol Face Serum, the Fill + Treat Advanced Retinol Serum, Wrinkle Filler Treatment, the Neck Cream, the Under Eye Cream and the Resurfacing Disks for 4 weeks because The Roc claims we will see significant results after only 4 weeks. Now...you know how much I love The Roc, so I am really hoping they don't let me down. Watch and see.

Try to avoid frowning your forehead, no matter how much you use creams, if you keep doing it, the wrinkles on your forehead will never go away. I am 56 and I do not have a single line on my forehead, I try to avoid making those gestures as much as possible, so as not to wrinkle my forehead. Many women, even very young, have this habit and have many lines on their forehead.

As much money as you've spent on products that don't work, you could have your wrinkles removed professionally. I'm not about plastic surgery, but I think it might give you the peace of mind you're seeking. I like your face just the way it is, but you have to be comfortable in your own skin. Now, at 76, I really don't like my wrinkles; especially around my eyes. So, I'm there with you. If I ever have anything done, it will be to remove the excess skin from my eyelids. They are really bothersome to me. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. You make all your videos fun to watch!

61 here and just watched your entire video. First of all, you’re very entertaining!! Next, i was also a Roc fan until recently, when I haven’t noticed as much success as in the past. There wasn’t much of a difference before, but I liked the feeling of the serum and the facial moisturizer on my skin and how they seemed to work fairly well with makeup (not adding to my wrinkles by making the makeup settle into the wrinkles). Lately, I’m thinking that the products seem to help slow the progression of my wrinkles, but they don’t eliminate or reduce what I’ve already got. I also think about how wealthy women, especially big name actresses, can afford to try any product they want, and they do, but they still have professional makeup artists to help them look their best, and we all know that most use Botox or have some work done. I don’t really believe there’s anything than can stop the aging process, but I do think that taking care of your skin and staying hydrated helps to slow things down. That said, I’ve decided to try the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Face Serum and moisturizer for as long as one bottle and tube last to see how that goes, because I like that they’re safe for sensitive skin, but they’re also pretty pricey for long-term use. If I don’t like how they work, I’ll probably go back to using Trader Joe’s serum and moisturizer! Thanks for a great video!

No over the counter product can help her. she needs heavy duty stuff, women who are in their 50s shouldn't be wasting money in these types of products. you can't neglect your house for 30 years and then expect some paint will bring it back to life, it doesn't work like that.

There’s no product you can purchase that has been proven to work (like Retinol, Retin-A etc) without first making your skin look worse. Sometimes you need to start off using a product three times a week then go to every other night and so on..depends on your skin sensitivity.
Everyone’s skin is different and because these ingredients (depending on which one you purchase) can be pretty powerful, they can often make you look worse before you look better. I know companies don’t usually tell us this though most dermatologists do. Also, getting a sunburn while on retinols happens so much quicker than if you don’t use retinol products at all. The sun also negates the positive effects of your retinol type product. I use Retin-A about four to five nights a week now and incorporate AHA and BHA’s (but not together. I alternate nights. I don’t know if you were using both at the same time with Roc. Hope this helps and continue your journey. It’s trial and error so don’t give up. What works for one doesn’t always work for others, the best we can do is share our findings. :)

Don't abandon the Roc, Sheri! I think your before and after pics WERE disappointing, but Retinol and sun exposure will mess you up. I thought in the bathroom mirror you were looking better all the time and was startled that you COULDN'T see any improvement. Maybe stay with the Roc and try again later. Maybe it was just a bad scenario, or maybe I just want the Roc to work that badly. I don't know...

The skin renews itself every three weeks to 35 days, you cannot expect a cream to have its effect instantly, unless it is an instant lifting. You have to give it time and not despair. You also have to drink a lot of water! For long term benefits, you have to use them for 6 months!

I broke down and spent a lot of money on osmosis products. But, good news and bad news is they work! Bad news it cost a fortune! I also do facial yoga, and DIY masks and facial yoga definitely works consistency is key think about it, all your frown lines and wrinkles mostly are created by facial expressions, right???? Facial yoga is training your muscles to stop your automatic muscle tensions.

If we go out, they think I’m her daughter that’s how wrinkly crinkly she is & I’m not

I noticed recently that your neck looks quite good…good job there. Would you ever do Cindy Crawfords priducts. But then I think that might take a couple months. I also take biotin consistently for my skin and to thinker my hair, which it does after 3 or months and keep doing it. Keep up your amazing cheer and attitude, I love ya💖🤗

This is my first time watching this. I just live your honesty and personality. We all want to turn back time. Must remember. A reduction is just that. Nothing really diminishes wrinkles wether deep or fine truly fully without botox or surgery. However today's medical has come along way. They're trying very hard to put that surgery in a bottle. And some do work as expected. But keep in mind. Reduction is only Reduction. But I must say. From before and after pictures. Your skin looks way smoother and I do notice a reduction...

Well, I completely agree with you, and I am disappointed, too!
I was thrilled with the patches, though. The immediate results on your 11s were amazing. I am curious if your results from that would be longer lasting if you used the patches only on your 11s for 3 days? My 11s are deeper than yours, but I might try that on mine and find out if they work for me at all!

I came across your video today, 1st time. You are very beautiful & your eyes are incredible. I did see the improvements on the 11’s & above your lip. I’m learning, I have come to realize a product can do something for you over night & the next day it doesn’t, that’s because what we eat interferes with our bodies ability to self heal. Sugar/carbohydrates we eat throughout the day deplete the collagen. How much water we drink, the amount of stress, the estrogen in our body, etc. Don’t be discouraged. Take vitamins, watch your sugar/carb intake, exercise either walk, or other, take collagen supplement, use a facial jade roller, etc. & hopefully you will see improvements. 💕 I enjoyed your video, you’re funny too. 💕
I learned that the reason why products sometimes don’t work is because our skin needs to be exfoliated once a week. Also read that less can be better, cleanse, apply vitamin C, let dry, apply a retinol, & then a moisturizing night cream. Hoping that works for you. 💕

I know that I should probably drink more water and I for sure need to eat better...but wouldn't it be nice if we could skip all of the diet and exercise stuff and just buy a product that actually worked? That's the dream I will continue to chase :)

I know how frustrating it is when you spend good money on skincare and don't get results but I heard you say you do a lot of yardwork, okay then if you didn't use SPF when going and doing your wonderful yardwork you will get more wrinkles from sun no matter what kind skincare products you use!! Try using the beauty of joseon rice+ probiotics sunscreen, it feels like moisturizer and doesn't burn your eyes, and my eyes are sensitive to almost every SPF but the beauty of joseon didn't feel like anything but a wonderful spf, don't give up bc your beautiful and your so honest, I love honesty more than any other videos out 😊

Please do some research. If it stings that means it's too much for your skin. Using exfoliating pads & retinol every day without aclimatizing can dry out & wreck the skin barrier. Retinol makes skin more sensitive to sunlight, you're better off having as much sun protection as possible first.

This is what I noticed, just being honest:
    - I do see improvement in your crows feet (wrinkles in your upper eye lid going towards your forehead) they are not “as long” as in the before pictures (both sides of your face). Maybe they aren’t as deep and that’s how they show in pictures.
    - Agree about “more wrinkles” in the after pic, BUT I think you’ve lost weight. Doing your front yard makeover took a toll, and it’s reflected in your face. Sorry to say this girl, but you’re more “jawly” (if that’s even a word). It’s like your jawline is a bit saggier, and lost some of the fat that was filling up your cheeks.
    - I was also impressed with the sticky patches, I think I’m gonna give them a try. Maybe use them before a special event.
    - You are a person that “talks” with your face (not just with your mouth), not trying to offend, my dad is the same way, so it’s going to take any type of product more than normal to appreciate any long lasting results, regardless love your expressions❤.
Can’t wait to see other products you have up your sleeve!!!! Keep the vids coming!

I feel the wrinkles are like mine and are caused by loose skin around the eyes and strong facial muscles that get used a lot. I had deep wrinkles. I use tretinoin from agency. Plus I use a little Botox to relax my face when I’m resting my face. I had a squint I was doing constantly. So just a couple units on each side and that pretty much fixed it. I still get wrinkles when I smile there because my cheeks push up my skin and it scrunches. I will not do filler. Just a touch of Botox.

The debris in your hair line could have been exfoliated skin. It happens to me whenever I'm using AHA exfoliants. Also exfoliation and retinol based products make your skin more sensitive to the sun. It's possible if you're not using sunscreen regularly, your face will look worse after exfoliating and using retinol products.

The thing with these stats, you need to check how many people were in the survey (it's sometimes in the small print but sometimes the data is nowhere to be found on the packaging). If there was only person and they saw visible results, that's 100% right there!🤷🏾‍♀️

They shouldn’t call it deep wrinkle. NOTHING can help deep wrinkles even plastic surgery unless you combine it with Botox/filler. And even if you do, you will need yearly maintenance. Love yourself as you are boo. The more we age, the skin gets thinner, gravity puuullllllssss the skin down to our knees.😂 all we can hope for is drink water to hydrate from within, hydrate from without with a lovely moisturizer and spf, wear a hat, go to bed early so your eyes don’t get tired and wear your eye glasses so you don’t squint and make those wrinkles worse. I’ve heard satin pillow cases help but haven’t tried it.

Lol, OK I haven’t watched the whole video yet, but I wanted to say no matter what you do for skin care, and make sure every single day you wear a very good sunscreen, or you will skew the results…….

I love your personality! 😊 I also wanted to give u some tips and tricks. I am from Alaska so my ass never sees sun, but I still use an SPF. But you truly will not see results for at least 2 or 3 months only becuase your skin cycles out every 28 days, kinda like a period lol. So u truly wouldn't see results unless you were committed longer then 4 weeks.
I am a licensed cosmetologist, and so understanding skin care had been a ongoing schooling for me becuase I'm obsessed with learning. I have continue to use the Vitimin C ,the eye cream, and retinol Capsules . They work fab. I am 33 in March and I've gotten very good comments. Could be becuase I'm from Alaska and there is barley any damn sun but. We don't even have a Walmart or Macdonalds in my tiny little town on a island in southeast ak so definitely not sponsored by them, just wanted to pass on the useful info becuase this is a good product 😊❤

This was so dissapointing Sheri. I have some deeper wrinkles too and like you i dont want to do Botox eighter. Im glad you are not giving up your search for a product that can help lessen wrinkles! Thanks for testing the ROC. ❤

the after photo looks more defined and sharper, maybe that's why it looks like you got more wrinkles. Have you tried using tretinoin? I heard that dermats preach that for wrinkles?

I can't deal with all the products in my routine. I really enjoy the face wash with the serum in it. I feel like that knocks out a step . I just wash and use the am and pm lotions . If I pile on all the steps I start to break out . :

The number one thing you're doing wrong is testing too many products in short amounts of time. 4 or 6 weeks is a short amount of time. You need months & months (at least 6 -9 MONTHS) to know if something works, doesn't or if it's even making (or starting to make) things PERMANETALY worse.
I've heard it said by many experts that the worst thing you can do is to mix and match different products or to not stick to one line, for a good enough period of time, before stopping. That being said, i can understand why one would run out of patience or bravery to stick to anything for that long..

@TheBelilu - The thought process behind my SkinCare Saturday videos is to test products for as long as they say it will take to see results. So, if a product says something like..."97% had visibly reduced wrinkles in 2 hours." Then I'm going to test the product for 2 hours. Or if a product says, "A contouring moisturizer with Retinol that visibly firms the face and neck in 1 week." Then I'm going to test it for 1 week. It's more about holding these companies accountable for what they are promising rather than testing something for months and months to see if it actually works. I think we all deserve products that do what they say they will do in the amount of time that they say they will do them. It's not hard to change the packaging to reflect the truth...just tell me the contouring moisturizer with Retinol is going visibly firm the face and neck in 16 weeks if that's how long it will take before I see any results. Now...don't get me wrong...I have tested a few products (and I do mean a few) that have actually shown me the promised results in a short amount of time. But yeah, on this channel, I will pretty much always test something for as long as they say I need to test it before seeing the promised results.

Have you tried RoC Retinol capsules? I looked at the ingredients and the first ingredient is the same as Cindy Crawford's wrinkle capsules which has good reviews.

I don't think Sheri would benefit from tret right off the bat, particularly because it must come with the compromise to use SPF religiously. She could end up with worse issues, plus tret is a long distance race, it would take her a while to see good results.
If I was her, I'd get a fraxel laser and once healed (lots of small lines and wrinkles including hyperpigmentation would go) she could go for a SOLID skincare routine tailored by a good cosmetologist/derm which could include tretinoin. Whatever she chooses, SPF should be her top priority always. Just an idea and of course, just another opinion!
