- Grooming gangs in the UK, particularly in Rotherham, are a pressing issue. Kevin O'Sullivan is joined by former Met Police superintendent Nusrit Mehtab, to debate and discuss underlying factors, including police reluctance to act over fears of being called racist.
Nusrit mentions that His Royal Majesty's Inspectorate did a whole investigation of the grooming gangs, and when looking at 52 cases, they found a majority (27) of those cases were white men that were the abusers.

That's absolute rubbish. The police take reports of anything that is reported and the reports are electronically recorded and monitored. You can't just make them go away because a perp is black or Asian. The CPS make the decisions, not the police and certainly not the government. The police have to follow the home office guidelines, those guidelines don't change because of someone's skin colour. What people don't realise is that it's not that easy to prosecute, a lot of these girls don't want to pursue the complaints for various different reasons. They don't turn up to be video interviewed, and the police are chasing after them continuously ..the men will get to them and manipulate them. Also the parents are absent most of the time . Then, eventually, when all the evidence is collected it is submitted to the CPS and they make the decision!

In Pakistan, every day young 14-15 years old Christian, Sikh and Hindu girls are abducted and married off to 40-50-year-old. That is why it is okay here in UK. In Pakistan, Hindus, Sikhs and Christians have been reduced from 14.7% to 1.6% of the total population (between 1947 to now).
It's not about ethnicity, it's about faith. Their religion teaches them that non-believers are inferior and female non-believers can be taken as s£x slaves. Now, Pakistani men are a minority, and White male demographic is a majority. So, in Pakistan if there was a minority White Christian population from England that committed a startlingly large amount of rape of Pakistani girls - that would be an issue. If in China, there was a 3% Norwegian community, but of that 3% the Norwegian men committed nearly 50% of the grooming rape, that would be seen as a cultural issue in the Norwegian community of China.
To make up only 3% of population but to be responsible for 48.7% of the grooming gang crimes, that is astonishing isn't it.

Not sure which case she was referring to but she said 27 out of 52 were white men…and 25 were Pakistani origin, so 52% and 48% respectively. From the 2021 census, 82% of our population are white ethnicity and only 2.7% Pakistani. Nobody is denying white men commit these kinds of crimes, but why are Pakistani men massively over represented in the statistics and committing them at higher rates? Surely we should be asking this question rather than ignoring it and pretending it’s all equal?
She’s right that we shouldn’t focus JUST on ethnicity though, and that the police/social services are not trained properly in these kinds of crimes.

@@phillipembury2271 yes agreed. The thing is I get that we don’t want to demonise every Pakistani man, the same as we shouldn’t demonise all white men for the actions of the minority. But everyone definitely seems to be more comfortable accusing white men of things and downplaying any other race.
It’s just statistics/facts. Surely we should all be able to talk about them neutrally like grown ups without it being seen as implying EVERYONE of that demographic is guilty. It seems insane to me that we’re not breaking down our crime stats by detailed demographics (race, religion, income, immigration status, alcohol or drug use, pattern of prior crime etc etc) to try and work out patterns, then if we can minimise any of them or preempt them when young etc, and also by using the stats intelligently to inform immigration policy.

I start to doubt the statics. I am not saying that white men don’t commit such crimes, but people are so brainwashed, that even victims are giving descriptions of white men when it was Islamic immigrants (like the case in Germany). So if the statistics are made from the complainants, there is doubt. There is also doubt if they are made by the reports of ones with sentences as many of the crimes by Pakistani are not dealt with, as we have heard from whistleblowers.

Not enough resources! You can have 10 police officers for a man with a camera, but nothing for me, when very late at night someone tried to get me to open my door very late at night. The first night I took it as a prank, but my son fitted a camera immediately. Next night same thing happened but with more intensity. I was very afraid and called 999 explained everything and was told someone would contact me sometime next week! The following day I did ring and complained and it was noted. Great! Some one did come days later, fortunately my son was here, and transferred the photo of the man to the officers phone. I am sorry to say that I have now lost all faith in the Police. As I am house bound I watch a lot of Utube, and I see all these police being sent to frivolous calls, and I am furious at the way I was just brushed aside, I am 86 and live alone, the young man next door said to call him if I was worried again as did my son obviously .No way would I put any one’s life at risk when the Police are trained to do this. I have various deterrents, do I care if they are illegal or not, I obviously don’t give a pigs trotter any more!
Sorry to read your comment. Live in Edinburgh Scotland and the Police came to my door at 8.45pm and again 10.30 am the following morning because TSB Scotland sent them to check on me. My crime was withdrawing £7000 in cash from my own account with my ID Passport without letting the bank know why it had to be cash rather than cheque. When the front door was kicked in on Friday the Police arrived on Monday.

What she's saying is that, out of 51.92% of cases, more than 50% of the men were white.
Basically, she's saying that more than 25% of the perps may have been white, which isn't really surprising, since money is money, regardless of who they pimp them out to.
What is surprising is that the population of the UK is actually 80% white, not just 25%.
