- Sam lost his eye when Dream took his first life. He makes a new one with red stone. Doing surgery on yourself isn't easy, and painful.
Don't penalize me for the accuracy of a medical surgery, please, I'm just having a little fun :')

THIS IS NOT AN AU OR ANYTHING
This is "canon", based on things Awesamdude has said in streams about c!Sam's design and such. This is set in the canon dsmp timeline, and is an explanation to my c!Sam design.

Y'know what I love about you Grimmi? the way you always manage to cram so much into so little. I never really considered the idea of Sam deciding to do self surgery for a new eye but you managed to portray it really well. I like that there is no music for this as that would have definitely diminished the horrific nature of what Sam is doing. 0:14 why does Sam have that green neck thing? I mean it looks cool but why? 0:37 Dream looks so manic I love it!! 0:40 I like that Dream is covering half of Sam's face with his hand showing how, in many ways, Sam has become pretty similar to dream BUT ALSO, does.... Does this mean Dream..... Took Sam's eye out??? because THAT would be dark!!! 0:43 is that Sam's blood? is it green because he's a creeper human thing? I love the sound effect of the eye and the way you made Fran jump.

Sam's whole neck thing is to keep him from going ka-boom. Because of the injury going down to his neck, it exposes enough of his creeper gunpowder system to be a danger to him (same reason I give him a mask). It's just in case.
Sam lost his eye when Dream killed him (this is Canon, Sam said it himself)
In my Sam design, his blood is a desaturated red because of the gunpowder, but his "heart" is a glowing green, which is the same colour as if Sam was going to explode.

No this is a "filler" episode, between his prison lore and the lore with Foolish and Dream. It had nothing to do with the Egg, and the whole eye thing is actually kinda Canon based on things awesamdude has said.
Ohhhh ok! Now I understand, I don’t watch too much dream smp stuff after it got shut down and ended so your channel is where I can get lore stuff and just really good stories every few months, you’re the best grimmi! 💙
If I had a nickel for every creeper-hybrid with a cybernetic eye, then I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but I think it's funny it happened twice.

Just the art in general! It's so good! I love how you came up with the redstone eye idea! It's really creative, and not out of character for Sam to use his smarts to fix the problem. I assume the armor on his neck is to help him with breathing? I dunno, just assumed because he's part creeper and the gunpowder would mix with the blood. (This is just an assumption btw!) Dream's maniacal expressions never fail to scare the ever loving sh*t outta me. Also, he truly is an evil freckled lil dude. (Love how you gave him freckles, piercings, and those sharp teeth... really adds a freakish feeling to Dream's character)
Also, Fran's reaction! I love Fran so much! Also the sound effects add so much!

This is an amazing animatic. The amazing drawings and fantastic head canons make this a story I would share to anyone without hesitation.
