I see a lot of you are *passionate* about the scar hamr, and good for you, I just don't personally like it over others, as I said though, it's not bad, just not my first choice. Opinions people, opinions 🤌 (also don't forget I was judging based on stock performance, obviously attachments will change things around but to avoid people screaming I used the "wrong attachments", stock attachments were better
Scar hamr is overrated almost every lmg is basically better than it the only good thing about it is that it basically has lower recoil(with attachments) than average but still slightly higher recoil than Aug hbar for no apparent upgrade other than mag capacity.

With the stock Scar HAMR in reference, your points are well and truly valid. May I suggest a setup for it that may be more enjoyable for you;
Sight of preference (I use Anti and have proof if you want it)
Squad barrel (or x-ring for "true" no recoil)
Hera CQR/use Stubby if you want to hipfire better
Tri=Laser because the more the better
Stock ammo/AP (depends on the Map adn Lobby)
Whether you use this setup is up to you, but I hope you use it to see the true potential of the Scar HAMR. also 9mm increases firerate btw.
Actually, the SCAR HAMR does have a torso multiplier that allows it to 3 shot up close to the torso, but that's gone in the HAMR IAR in the test place
Same as colt lmg getting nerfed losing its torse multi as well

it seems to me that all the machine guns in this game are already very good. They have good penetration and damage, as well as a huge clip because of which the enemy has almost no chance

Yeah that's what I was tryna say, none of the LMGs are bad, I just have personal preference over them. Besides the hk21, that's kinda just not super good

1:31 I respect this, as it’s rated by stock performance and the stock mg36 is pretty atrocious, but once you get attachments, it’s kinda crazy (at least on console I’m not sure about pc because I only play console)
I specifically made sure I used stock attachments because of the fact if I use attachments *I* like, people are gonna say "YOU ONLY SAY IT'S BAD BECAUSE YOU'RE USING THE WRONG ATTACHMENTS!!!!! UGHHH SO BAD!!!!!!!!"

RPK-12 Used to be my favorite since it has a really fast reload speed of 2.4 Seconds and a pretty good penetration power.

Tbh tho the true secret to using the MG36 these days is buying armor piercing on it and ignoring the concept of walls.

That literally happened to me. When I was playing phantom forces one time, people on the other team started to target me because after each match I kept getting the mvp prize since I was using the MG3 and everyone hated me after I kept carrying my team each match

Longest range kill I've gotten in Phantom Forces was 700 Stud Headshot on Dunes with an M60 with an ACOG. If you tap the M60, it has no recoil at all, and ACOG isn't considered a sniping scope so you don't suffer with the breathing mechanic. And before any of you ask, I use alt aim for close quarters
you do have a good point on the hk21 recoil but it can be affected by fps and sensitivity so idk
The first LMG I used was the M60 because when I played, it was the first machine gun. I mostly use it for the AA sights, which are my favorite, and I just like how it feels. It was my first experience with Phantom Forces, and I was like 7 when I used it. Still fun, just not much good against other guns.

Honestly, the HK21 is more of a hip fire gun, but you could run DCL 120, x-ring, stubby grip, and whatever laser you want
I ran it with a chainsaw grip, the terminator laser, a muzzle booster, and armor piercing rounds for maximum shenanigans. Any type of laser will do for me for the other category of the attachments.
M60 with double triple laser/ double yellow lasers/ anti aircraft irons with a muzzle booster or ARS suppressor is so much fun! Even when you are rank 133 on console lol. But what’s even better? The H&K21E with Angled grip, yellow laser, muzzle booster/ARS suppressor, and any optic of your choice will let you lay down suppressive fire for years! These two guns besides the Colt MARS, are my favorite guns!
Imagine if they added a bipod effect to some of the bulkier LMG’s to lower recoil when supported by say going prone
the mg3, above all, is just fun. the BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR of the rpm and the damage is just fun to run around with. plus the funny german meme
MG36 is amazing if you use a No recoil sniper, suppressor/armor piercing type of build. Put on a 3x sniper scope or something and then its up to you for the barrel, understock etc
I run Malcolm 3x scope, T brake, stubby grip, yellow laser and armor piercing
AKU12 is also a godly weapon, similair to the RPK12 and I literally LOVE it.

I use the Colt LMG with the 223 conversion. It slaps.
Dont forget that L86 has a muzzle velocity of BFG50, hecate 2 and M107 💀
My top 3 are rpk74, aug hbar and colt lmg based on the ability to get high kill games

Me being a scar hamr main i can see where your coming from. But since i do main it i am able to get mostly headshots so i wont be like those anything kids and try to defend it. I personally like it but it isnt for everyone.
I actually stopped playing pf because it seemed like everyone was super sweaty and was destroying me. The only class I played was scout because I like smgs and it didn't work

somesteven, why don´t you just try it out with the chainsaw grip, the m60 has a strong recoil I know but if you actully ´´use´´ the weapon more than an hour then you understand how to use it and you can just add an silencer if the sound design dosn´t really fit with you, but I like the loudener more on it
the l86 has lost its charm. back then the only thing that was good about is was the supression so high that it made clapping sounds. now its whatever

Try the HK21E with mars sight, compensator, stubby grip, any laser, and armor piercing rounds PS make sure to press t so you are in the second sight mode.
hey some steven i have a M4A1 set up for you : eotech 20 sight , suppressor, vertrical grip ? green laser and 223 rem amo if you want it more recoil, amor piercing if you want kill enemy more easy
LSW used to be insane with the snap snap snap suppression that was actually scary RIP. RPK also used to be my baby now its has no consistency in recoil, used to beam.
Lsw used to have 3000 MV, a torso multi, and 25 min dmg, it was literally just an automatic dmr

scar hamr. used to be my main before they removed 9x19. I have 4k kills on it with a horrible setup lol

M60 has the highest suppression in that category, combine with loudener and it becomes the ultimate wall-banging suppressive machine gun.

M60 with double Tri-laser, Acog, muzzle booster, and that thing is almost a laser with 2 studs of penetration. Lvl 145 here… and I enjoy Colt, MG36, M60, and the HK. :D

Being good deserves praise, but only combined with doing good is it useful.
I use the Rpk12 as my main LMG i have like 800 kills on it, it is my favorite LMG and 2nd highest kill beside the Scar Hamr

the reason the HK 21 has such high recoil is due to it being a roller-delayed blowback gun (the G3) thats been made to be belt fed

Rpk12 with 7.62mm has a better ttk than the RPK and better recoil, you really should try it out

Three thinks made it so:
Ridiculously high velocity created sniper rifle like levels of suppression that made it terrifying to get shot at by and produce a shit tonne of suppression
minimum 25 damage making it a 4 shot kill at all ranges
AP ammo having no significant damage reduction to the point it would chew walls like nothing
combined with the old two shot kill hollowpoint RPK, these were the best guns in the game
LMG’s in general are pretty op

Colt LMG definitely deserves top spot. I got my first couple 100k games with it and it wasn’t even my most used gun at the time.

the m60 is bouncy in real life. its heavy bolt and carrier are the main cause of the painful recoil

ok steven i am not mad at you for using the hk21e wrong but to have fun with it all you need is a vertical grip then hip fire id recommend a laser but other wise yes this is how you use it

mg36 is one of my highest kill guns, kinda amazing.
I'm sad I can't really use the mg36 anymore since it carried me so hard years ago but unfortunately I just can't use it anymore, it's recoil be like 💀

you know you can fix hk21 with just three attachments, Muzzle brake, Pistol grip, and blue laser
