Good video. I just finished getting rid of the large Desert Yucca trees that was starting to take over my front yard. I couldn't pull them out by the roots because they were to deep in the rock hard soil. I cut them off off below the surface and killed them then covered them up. Talk about a nightmare tree to have to deal with. You did a great job on the stumps. Thanks for sharing.
Hell yea, got it done without having to rent any equipment. Next time you stain your deck use some used motor oil, I just did mine with it, turned out nice, a day or two after the sun beats down on it the smell is completely gone & the sun really bakes it down deep into the wood so there’s no residue left on the surface.
They extract stumps with a small CAT back-hoe whachamacallit, I don't know the name. I live in Europe and they dig around the stump until the roots are exposed and then pull it out of the ground and leave the hole and the stump by the side of it for two weeks. This lets all the bugs and insects and worms come out of their hide-a-ways and then they take the stump away. They cover the ground with the earth they took out of the hole and leave it rough like that for two weeks so that it naturally finds its level. Then they smooth it off and plant new grass. When they cut high weeds, they do the same thing. They cut the weeds and leave them for a week to ten days so all the insects can come off their lairs and leaves and stuff. Then they pick up the weeds. I don't know how it is where you are, but they're doing that because there are less and less insects and spiders every year. You walk out in the fields in summer and there are very, very few flying insects. Next door in Germany they are down 75% insects in the last 20 years. Boys and girls, there's something wrong about this.

@Tree Man sorry to hear that. Haven’t got a problem with my truck yet. It’s weird that truck made in Mexico. Probably cheap labor in Mexico than made in USA. Although Dodge paid taxes to bring it in USA. My turbo and AC are fine but thanks for warnings.
Did you know that Mexico doesn’t even have hour pay wage? Nope They’re making $5.00 a day, no hourly pay. No wonder peoples in Mexico are crossing into USA to get $15 an hour pay job, so dad can wire $ to his family in Mexico.
I did try using my 3 ton floor jack and I only managed to budge it a little. I think the jack might have needed to be purged of air and/or I didn't cut enough roots. I've been busy doing other gardening tasks and the stump is still where I left it. I think it should be dead/brittle enough to get out with my pinch point bar and chainsaw. If I regularly had to remove stumps I would consider buying the bumper jacks, but I've only ever had to remove two stumps (including the one still in the ground). Thanks for making the video and the tip.
That stuff is terrible to use , tried using my 3 ton tractor lift for it , and it always tused away to the side. I think a chain hoist is the better option here...
Was that a juniper tree, I mow lawns for a living I also own a backhoe I thought I'd make short work removing I'd say 5 stump cluster of trees like you had a little bigger but the jack made my backhoe look useless. My back hoe was mid sized when it was new too it's not a small one. Good job using simple mechanical advantage. Great video
Hiya, just saw your video man, well done, nice job with that trolley jack. I liked that chainsaw too, does the battery last long in it. Cheers from the green isle 👍👍🇮🇪
@@barneslifegeorgiaedition9857 , thinking about buying one, just maybe, got a petrol and electric saw, love the electric one for cutting logs at home , they are way more quieter and safer than the petrol, I'm thinking the battery saw would be good enough for limbing trees or climbing, cutting trees is not something I do on a daily basis, . Anyway thanks again 👍
why did you force me to watch 2 min 46 sec of you trying to hook a chain to your hitch? That was just painful. Editing is your friend. Otherwise, great use of the floor jack.
Hey Tom, thanks for commenting. Yes it was painful for me at the time also😂. At the time I hadn’t done many videos, and it got past me. Rest assured I now know how to edit and try to spare viewers of this type of pain. Have a great day!

I was watching with now sound at the time and I just thinking, "is he ever going to get that chain connected?" Should have just been grateful for the help. Thanks for being gracious in your reply. Something else I can work on.
Use some duct tape next time to keep the chain on your tongue. I think you spent about half the video wrestling with that. Dosent have to be tight or use half the roll, just use about 6-12” to keep hold until you can build tension.
What kind of tree/Bush was that? That’s a funky looking stump! Your fence is all faded but that’s ok, now you can practice your Karate! Paint the fence, up, down, up, down, wax the Dodge, wax on, wax off! 😂

I like what you just did. I never would have thought of using a jack to remove stump. Only in the South!
🤣Thanks for watching
I tip my hat to you! that was pretty good! Harbor Freight should consider using your video as a commercial for the versatility of their floor jacks!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Good job. Creative, innovative, worked, and was relatively easy, and free if you have a jack and a shovel. Subbed.
Thank you!
Harbor Freight should make special fittings for floor jacks to lift stumps!!! Hahaha
That’s a great idea!

It’s a 2 ton jack
Great job, really enjoyed the video. Saying hi from the UK.
Hello Thomas, and thanks for watching! Have a great day!
Great video but I think I was more impressed with that battery chain saw. Not taking away from the removal but that chain saw was legit.
Yes, I was unsure about it too, but it is unbelievable what that thing will do. I reach for it before my gas chainsaw.
