    So I just bought 2 bunnies. And their pedigrees only has sex, color, genotype & DOB.. is it still a Full Pedigree?

    • @LeahLynchBlog

      To be considered a full pedigree they need the animals Name (some breeders have the name and Ear # the same and that is fine), Ear #, Color, and weight to be considered a full pedigree. Hope that helps.

    What happens if you get a doe who is 100% pedigree but do not know who she was bred to and has kits?

      I'm guessing you have a colony situation? In this case you can still create a pedigree with the does info and make sure the buyer knows they have a partial pedigree. If they are not purebred making a pedigree won't really matter though as far as making more when it comes to sales.

    So if I have 4 non pedigreed pure bred mini Rex (2does and 2 bucks)no tattoos could I start a pedigree?

    • @LeahLynchBlog
      @LeahLynchBlog  2 года назад

      YES!! Absolutely! While it will take them three generations to fill them out you would have fully pedigreed animals in about a year and a half. Since you can breed a mini rex at about 6 months old. Some information is better than nothing and will still create some legitimacy. If you go to sell them before you end up with all of the ancestors filled out just say " has partial pedigree" to anyone looking to buy.

      @@LeahLynchBlog oh thank you!! I have 2 does that are siblings a blue/fawn harlequin and a lilac otter and the bucks are father/son a blue/fawn tricolor (son) and an orange/black booted tri (father). Does are 10 months one buck is 2 years and other buck is one year. I have been trying to Breed them for 3 months and finally got my first 3 Fall offs with the harlequin and booted tri Jan 19 and I finally got 3 fall offs today with the tri and the lilac otter so I’m hoping the litters turn out! I’m thinking about keeping a doe from 1 Litter and a buck from the other. So do I have to have an ear tattoo on them? I’d like to start showing one day when I’m driving but I’m only about to be 14 next month but it gives me 2 years to get the pedigree going.

      You don't have to tattoo them but just come up with some form of a number/letters that you would put on them if you were going to show them. That way the number will still be on the pedigree.
