A few questions, 1 does an occupancy sensor detect a trader? 2nd isr there a logic setting for the hold to have a trader continue? I’m thinking of automating a hanger to have a trader hold, hanger opens let’s her in and closes cycle atmos and stops when the human pops out. All a hanger really is a SUPER SIZED airlock! One note if your building a runway more than one wide, you can only use ONE thresh hold or it will error
I havent tested the occupancy sensor, i probably should cause now im wondering if chickens count as well. The activate logic value on the landing pad data and power kit. Pressing the button or activate = 1 will tell a trader holding to resume on a waypoint or to leave the landing pad. I did wonder how to expand the pad… but i havent really tested it well so i do need to do a follow up first making it look better. I think i saw different people have issues when they used landing pad basics + runway’s together but i havent personally looked into the details. Plus i was also curious if the main runway needed to be inline with the centrepiece or not, i just realized i never checked that.
@@charlesheath7571 possibly? the awkward part would be that it would be really hard to not catch anything else since it would need a very very long triggering range. Trader pads do have a mode where they tell you if a trader is moving, holding, on the pad, or no trader is there.
17:50 I think the trader waypoint only recognized landing pads that do not have a proper runway set up. They seem to be really only meant for VTOL traders
The odd thing is i could not get the waypoint to cycle to a different pad. Im trying to do anything i can to see if i can choose a pad to land to with any number of those… but unfortunately they seemed locked to the 9x9. I will have to take some time to mess with it some more to try to get it to change and document what needed to happen. Not gonna lie, i mischievously wanted to see if i could get them to fly from opposite directions and see if they could crash mid runway, but my hopes were dashed xD
Sounds like power overdraw, Dishes spend the amount on their power setting on interrogation, but until then they are using 10% of their power. A medium and Large dish can potentially overdraw on transformers and light cable coils.
@@hechtic It can be, Usually I charge a large station battery that exclusively feeds the trade and dish array so that way I can monitor the battery to see how spent that is with the interrogations.
Brilliant! Thank you for taking the time and do the tutorial that the game does not provide at this time! Well done, Sir!

@@shadowdrake082 chickens won’t trigger the occupancy, It might be players only. However an idea…motion sensor?

Thanks for video. Gotta a question. Sometimes when I hit the interrogate button, the computer flashes on and off. Any idea what causes this?

@@shadowdrake082 thanks. Sonia the best way to avoid this to run heavy cable and a medium transformer?

i made one 3x3 and its all blinking good. but it says no landing pad is available, what i am doing wrong?
Did you make sure the cables from the landing pad network connect to the computer’s network connection?
@@shadowdrake082 that was it, I only had the cables on the power connection
Thx man
