Thanks so much for sharing this I was so inspired I bought a Maton TE but changed frets to stainless immediately so it’s almost never ever in the shop!
You are welcome! I'm planning on trying stainless steel frets too, mine wear out too quickly. I also noticed the Joe Robinson Maton model has stainless steel frets too, so he probably has the same problem!
Excellent tutorial! But I was wondering, is the percussive "click" that Tommy uses in the rythmn, is that generated from the A string, or rather from the side of the thumb hitting the low E at an angle?
Could be both, but if you’re playing the pumping bass note on the A string it makes more sense to use the low E string for the percussive click. That way the thumb should be “in position” to pick the A string right away!
@@TimVanRoy That's what I was thinking, of course the action on my guitar is much higher than Tommy's, which is probably a factor. Thank you very much for taking time to respond! Greetings from the U.S.!
Hi, you can find all parts on patreon.com/timvanroy. Due to a conflict over copyrights I had to take all my lessons on RUclips offline, but after an agreement with Tommy and his management I was able to move all content to Patreon.
Hey Mr. Tim van Roy if you can please upload all the parts of all Tommy Emmanuel songs tutorial as I am unable to afford your patreon page. It's my humble request. Lots of love from India 👍. You are the one who is absolutely teaching Tommy's songs in a fashionable manner.

Wow. Thanks for doing all this for your viewers. The amount of effort it takes is incredible.
