Very good match! As for all this extremely ridiculous sabotage the game throws at us all the time (normal passes become through balls, teammates run and hide behind opponents etc) my take is that they made such misjudged (and ridiculous) decisions on dribbling (in order to make kids buy more packs), that they now have to use all this sh!t to stop games reaching double-digit score everytime. Simple as that and shame shame shame to EA and to the ridiculous gameplay managers. Are they so desparate?

I have been using this technique for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it is not easy to execute all steps in a rush. So, I generally prefer using some players in specific positions in specific formations (e.g. Defensive middle fielder to press the opponent's winger by using my own winger). Heading towards the player who is to press works avoiding false/wrong movements. Thanks for the share.

So basically, as soon as you get your defender into a decent position, you switch to another player to cover the pass and immediately press teammate contain on that switch to have the AI take over the press? So run back with defender closest to attacker, right stick switch AND hold teammate contain button at same time…that ensures that EA chooses the last player you were controlling to be green icon-ed teammate contain player? I’m being specific because as you elaborated on in this video, this version of FIFA has some very questionable AI assist decisions, from changing your intended pass type and pass direction to even the pass power and when it comes to defending it’s horrible at auto selecting players for pressing/containing.
Always control the main player in the danger areas or the "final man" yourself, dont rely on AI, only use teammate contain to close an angle, trap or apply pressure to the ball carrier

The AI assist is so broken you basically don’t have to defend, AI does it for you

You can see the lag throughout the game. Even a tiny bit of delay affects the outcome when it comes to timing a tackle

What I dont get is the line about speed...
Caqueret have 94 pace with shadow - 97 + 92. And you said he is too slow and you replaced him with Wan-Bisaka, who with shadow on 5 chem (bench) only have 88 pace - 85 + 91. Even with 10, WB slower in acceleration.
Was it just the rush of the game and fact that you need to do subs fast & also talk at the same time?

you actually can play with manual passing. Problem is its is really difficult to master that and you will have zero chance against an assisted opponent. FIFA is also way to fast for that esp. UT. I used to play PES 20 and 21 on full manual and it felt pretty satisfying when you got a good manual passing combination with a manual goal. Sadly PES became shit this year and now I tried FIFA, because it was for free on PS Plus. It can be fun though but it is not nearly as satisfying as PES was for me. Also feels very arcadey.

My passing is so shit and i dont know why. Usually i can sling passes together slick and neat but recently almost every second pass is weak and goes right into the defender. I try changing my play style and what not but these shit passes keep happening
Bro honestly yea and it gets so frustrating coz you’d never do that and especially when you have a play in mind but the pass goes to a whole other direction and messes everything up
I recently can't defend or pass. My players just wait for opponent to take the ball. They start freaking out as soon as I pass it to them. And stop.moving like I'm here please take it. As of defending I feel like someone pushing me away when I take take the ball away. As soon as I get near them my players just move back or stop. It's like a magnetic they just stick to me when I have the ball and they push away when I get near them. One day this game is fine and next its against you. It's pointless to stress anymore
