Please wish your Dad a very Happy belated Birthday. Looks like you had a great time in Sydney.
The kids and I miss Australia immensely especially some of the foods.

Will do. Gosh it's been some years since we met up in Surfers. It was definitely a quiet weekend in Sydney (hard to do much with this boot on) but we enjoyed the view and spending time together.

Looking at that road trip across America looks enormous, do you think Kevin is up to all that driving??

I don't know but he wants to do it. We do have about 2.5 weeks but I'll plan it out some more and he can decide. I keep reminding him he's said twice before he didn't like having to do long drives in the States, but he is used to doing long drives here.

@@LibbyWithnall Fair enough. I would just worry myself (being in America, not home in Oz) in case he has another of his episodes, I would feel vulnerable out on those roads. I also think driving for 16 hrs at a time is too long. I know he has driven to Charlieville but that's home, it's not America.

Maybe consider starting at Dallas Texas or Oklahoma

Maybe consider starting in Dallas Texas or Oklahoma, still a good drive and less hours

Good idea but we going to Disneyworld first so would have to take a flight beforehand. I've think I've gotten it worked out :-).

I hope you go to Santa Fe, New Mexico. It’s really a wonderful and unique place. I also love New Orleans. But, being vegan, if you’re choosing between the two, I would prioritize Santa Fe because a significant (but not the only) part of NOLA’s attraction for me is the food 😄) I haven’t had the opportunity to travel outside North America, but I spent years traveling for my job inside the continental USA, so I have been most places in the contiguous USA and Santa Fe is well worth the visit. I also love Zion National Park best of all the Utah national parks and you can easily see some nice parts of it in a day and it’s just a couple of hours outside Vegas. Yosemite national park is also amazing if you are anywhere near it, but if your ultimate destination is LA then you probably won’t be near Yosemite.

Hi Gigi. Thanks. I will look more into Santa Fe. Doesn't look too far from Albuquerque. We'll only probably have one day in New Orleans - just have a look around and visit one of the plantations no doubt. Yes, not going near Yosemite this trip - I think we would leave that for warmer weather anyway. Thanks for the tips.
