After the Eyes Wide Open she started her hiatus but right after 3 months which is January of 2021 she surprised us by appearing with the group to attend the Asia Artist Awards. She's in with some group interviews and activities she return to her hiatus when Taste of Love promotion is about to end though I can't fully say it's hiatus since during her break the group filmed Perfect World & Doughnut which she was still in except the choreo parts and same goes for Scientist where the agency announced her 2nd comeback in promoting.
My god so confusing! I hope that even tho she was coming back, she had time to properly deal with her anxiety...
6:03 jeongyeon first went into hiatus was around icsm era (end of 2020) she had a herniated neck disc. she returned for alcohol-free (summer 2021) but went back into hiatus because of anxiety and “came back” around the feels/scientist (end of 2021) but she wasn’t participating in the dance. she fully came back for their 4th world tour in the US

Roughly speaking, I'm content with your timeline! :) Good job on summarizing it! Her actual "come back" date was closer to January 1st 2022, though, so a few months past "Scientist". That's why she also missed the opening of their "4th World Tour" in Korea, even though it was on Christmas 2021.
And I would just add that even though she was on hiatus, she never missed any music video filming (korean releases, japanese releases or for "The Feels"); she might not have been in the group dance scenes but she always had her solo scenes.

Thank you so much for the explanation! I am glad that even if she wasn't physically on the performances and promotion, she was still part of the albums... I think the worst thing about members of any group going on hiatus (besides knowing a member is not having a good time) is not knowing anything for months, and the fact she was still part of songs is amazing!

'First Time' was in the guide, its also one of my favorite B-sides from them. Its very underrated, afaik not many people like or even know this song exist

Jeongyeon performs Cry for Me on their tours and there are many videos on that too so I hope you check that out because her vocals absolutely carried the song!

Yes, Dahyun did not write much in their earlier years, only co-written Missing You, Trick It and 2129 up till 2019. She went insane from 2020 onwards writing even Japanese songs. Also, she contribute to the choreography of 2 of their earlier B-sides when they were still doing the cuter dance moves. (The only other member to contribute is MoMo for the Likey dance break.)
She went from almost nothing to being the best at it because I looove all her songs! It's amazing that she also contributes to the choreo!! I love when they are part of the creative process of the albums❤️

about Jeongyeon (if i remember correctly). she start her hiatus during 'i can't stop me' promotion, and try to comeback during 'alcohol-free' (i think she went on stage of music show for one week, but not second week, i'm not sure.) and she went on absent again (i can feel her struggling a lot as some picture she wave to ONCE behind stage and how wide her smile. but after the broadcast, so many 'body shaming' her. :( ...) after 'the feel' release and the world tour announcement, she post a lot about how much she want to go to the concert and meet once, but sadly JYPE announce that she would not participate in soul stage. she went to US leg (some detail in TW-log III world tour) and during first stage in US, she sometime run of stage, but she run back in. (that how struggling she is, and i admire her a lot.) and that the first OT-9 stage of 'cry for me'. (and after US leg, that i really think, oh! she is really back. :) (TTT 'spring picnic' & TW-log III world tour part TWICE., are my confirmation :P))
(that's yoo Jeongyeon, who always feel sorry to other people, to ONCE, to members, to stage staffs(more&more stage), to PDs. (of 'law of the jungle') :( that how kind she is. )
(she even apologized to audience when Mina's hiatus, and her injury start before 'more&more', she said she want to participate in 'more&more' because Mina just come back. that who she is.)

Basically Jeongyeon had 2 hiatus the first one was just befor 'Eyes wide open' release so she is not in any of the promo for that but than she came back by the time this album release so she was going on music shows, interview, and other things for this album promo. But then 3 months before the 'Formula of Love' (Scientist and The Feels' album) she went on a second hiatus and came back just before the North American leg of their 4th World Tour. (she missed the Seoul part of the tour). In all of her hiatus she still participated in all songs recording and M/Vs but she doesnt have that much dancing scenes in the M/Vs.
so on her second hiatus she missed almost all the promo for the 'Formula of Love' album.
I hope she had a good amount of time to rest and recover from her injury and anxiety... If she was on a hiatus and coming back a few times I am sure it was a bit stressful, but I am happy that she was on the albums even if she was not actively promoting them

I saw a lot of comments that Jeongyeon come to hiatus again before Scientist era, but that's wrong, she returned to Alcohol free promotions and only one Perfect World promotion in Japan, but then she went to hiatus again before The Feels, so she was not in The Feels promotions.
However, she returned in Scientist era, she just not participate in the only one Doughnut stage in Japan and the 2 Seoul dates of Twice tour
