      Thanks for the help! Does the displace feature actually add a texture to the model, or does it just effect how that surface image is rendered with the material applied?

      its a great tutorial, but polyhaven does not have a galvanized metal (zinc coated) surface material... it is simply metal or corrugated etc... can a texture map from elsewhere be used instead?

    Is there any way to actually apply the geometry of this "skin" to the object itself, so that when I export it as an .stl or .3mf file, the texture of the brick wall will actually be a part of the model? Btw, appreciate your work on these videos.

    Hi in an earlier video about 3 years ago, on the same topic, you showed how to make custom materials using the "manage materials" tab. is this still doable?

    Thanks for that free image resource. And there I was modeling a brick and patterning it to get the mortar lines. But might still have to do it to match the look of the brick on corners of a house.
