Thanks for pointing out the tricky bit about selecting, in method 1. I already knew how to create links in Gmail, but didn't know it must be done by drag-selecting the image! Another tidbit: If you want your Gmail message to display an image-say, a screenshot-as an IMAGE rather than only as its FILENAME, you need to simplify that filename first. Remove any special characters like underscores, spaces, etc. Rename the image something simple, like wikiHow.png, before you drag or attach it to the email.
47 seconds in and I got the exact answer I needed. Thank you. Kept clicking to select the image and then hyperlink instead of highlighting the image. It's like the programmer issue of forgetting a random colon or bracket somewhere. Thank you so much!!
I LUV YOU!!!! I have been looking all over the place to find and answer to about embeded images with clickable links for gmail. I am not even a "techie" but I think I can follow your instructions easily. Thanks so much!!!
Your daughter makes me so sad that my youngest is 35 and my oldest is 46! But I can close my eyes at any time and visualize them at 2. She will always be the source of your highest reviews.
At first, I couldn't get it to work but the trick is to highlight the image to turn blue by dragging it over the image, where you see the image link underneath it (rather than just clicking the image) where it says "Go to Link" . Once you click where it says "Change", it opens up, so you have to delete the image link and replace it with the web link you want to link it with. He actually mentions that but he doesn't emphasizes it. If you don't follow through on one important step, it doesn't work in most cases. I kept wondering why I couldn't get it to work.
Thanks. I had figured out the first method (which is sometimes a bit tricky) by trial and error. But the idea of using chrome dev tools to hack the naked HTML is terrific. Opens up a world of capabilities! Thanks.
Did you insert the image via "insert image"? If you just copy/paste the image into the E-mail body, it won't work. I just spent an hour to figure this out ... :)

My guy.. I almost watched a 37min video looking for the answer you gave me in 30 seconds!! Huge thumbs up!!
May I suggest you change the video name to "link" instead of "hyperlink" might get more search results. Anyway thanks again
By far you have shown us an easy way to do this. Thank you for doing this. You rock.
Thank you bud - it was HIDING the link I was struggling with. Dragging the cursor over the image (rather than clicking on it) worded perfectly.
Thanks! I'd been wondering how to do this forever. Never would have figured it out on my own without the video.
Thank you for this! This was so simple and easy to follow. Some people make this so difficult so thumbs up man!

wow, 0 out of 10 articles I looked up mentioned the highlighting. Everyone else says to click on it, which was super confusing/frustrating.
THANK YOU! Nothing else was working... UI/UX guys at Google definitely need to fix this.
You saved my hours of work. Thanks :)

When I hyperlink a graphic to a RUclips video, the RUclips video thumbnail replaces the original graphic. Anyway to stop that from happening?
Thank you!

Hi, great video. However, can you please paste me the adref stuff you used in the second method.
Both option not displaying as you showing in video

None these methods are working for me....
Can you put 2 images side by side with 2 different hyperlinks?
Of course! Any image in an email can be a link.
That's no longer working
You do not show HOW to add the image! Major flaw!!!
Thank you!
thank you
