How beautiful! Every time I watch an adoption video I’m so invested emotionally. I know EVERY child is of God and of great worth! It breaks my heart to think of how many are disposed of .. actually sickens me. I think about these things too deeply and while I’ve seen parents longing for children I know it’s also the children who are given an opportunity for a life filled with love and belonging. Nothing is as beautiful as this. It makes me so sad to see their fear of unknown. I know as her parents your hearts must have been so sad for her. After all, I’m convinced if I have such strong emotions just watching ( to love , soothe and protect) how much more you must have felt and I’m convinced that this love is so strong and powerful that it’s the perfect Earthly example of Our Heavenly Fathers love for us!
Lovely parents . They really tried to console her when she was crying . Dad was so gentle and was comforting his daughter, And when mum was tickling baby she didn’t forget the older girl . ❤

The nannies should leave the child with its parent. Not interfere and act like they want to hold the child, and they miss the child. If that's the case, then they should adopt a child.

Absolutely. Unfortunately it is a heart wrenching thing with no real solution. It has been tried many ways, but the child almost always gets horribly upset. Fortunately, in most cases the child adapts quickly, with love and patience from the parents.

Ha ha...it really was the worst. We wanted so bad for them to leave her alone but there really wasn't anything we could do about it. As soon as we could finally get away from them and out the door she stopped crying.

Simply amazing the understand these babys have the presence of these Americans is a serious situation. I don't understand how they realize its not just some random person holding them before they go back to there buddies at the orphanage but they absolutely know its over. Life as they know is done. How can they know?
They are well prepared. They look at photos, in a small album and posted over their cribs. They recieve care packages from the adoptive family. The nannies do their best by constantly reinforcing "mamma" and pappa."

It's such a shame that the poor babies are taken from who and what they know when they're not infants. As they get older they understand what's going on being handed over to strangers. The government needs to expedite the adoption processes. It will be so much easier for the babies .
Why are the nannies hanging around. In so many other vedios they give the parent to the child then leave. This is so upsetting to see the baby cry. And the couple that are adopting the baby are so nice and kind. The baby will have a wonderful life with the new parents, all the very best to them.
Please read about adoption. And perhaps focus on what's ok. Circumstances are different in every scenario; sometimes they cry harder when they leave right away. It's all ok
No it does not look simple to me!, it is a bitter sweet experience bitter as they are full of fear, sweet as they get a far better life than they would ever know!, what you have done is beautiful, however it is the adoption policy of the country I challenge, your reaction was based on the environment you were in, I understand that, my view point was from that of Amelie.to observe and not be involved is distressing, I get annoyed when the nannies piush them forward mumma mumma. and the time span in which to get to know them is too short,
Indeed it is so painful when the nannies hands over the child in a rush and lingers ..or hangs on to the child too long ..attempts to hand the child to the parents & when the child starts screaming before the parents gets a chance to take the babies, they cuddle them some more appearing pleased the child feels more comfortable in their arms..and so it goes until an agency supervisor/director steps in..I observed that children 2years+ from foster care families are better prepared and the foster mother's knows their roles.. just saying..moi, canada 🇨🇦
It is called Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS). She has had several surgeries on her hands and feet to help her use them better. There are several other videos showing her using her hands, videos before surgery, having her cast removed, and so on.

It's always pointed out the next day or 3 days later they are laughing etc. The point is why do they insist on the baby being traumatized at all? I got beat by my dad when I was young but I guess it doesn't matter because I was happy a few years back later when he was gone? No how about not putting them through it in the first place? Simple changes would completly avoid this

It may seem horrible and wrong, but no matter how it is done it may be traumatic for the child...or not. Our first adoption was done in a very crowded and chaotic room, with about a dozen other families. Our daughter had no difficulty and everything went fine. This one had about three families and was very difficult for her. Our last was done quietly, in private, but it was also traumatic for her in a different way. No matter how it is done it will typically be difficult for the child.

That's how it is in Eastern Europe and those babies are so happy to be going home with the parents after that. Then there's the Chinese method like ripping off a band aid I guess
Many do at least try. It's an extremely difficult language and what you suggest means that these babies are left in the orphanage even longer while adoptive parents struggle with a language they may never really pick up

She was just mad but like over like she said, jammies and stacking cups always work their magic like with little Dani and Little Miss Nadia, DeMello, boss, sister, she’s like the voice of reason when they grow older she’ll be the one to like call me everybody down, and again, I loved how she was explaining, lord of the rings, when she looked like she was about to I’m assuming in this video forever I’m sad or depressed. I just watch that video and it puts a smile right back on my face. Nobody deserve these beautiful children more than this family and the mother. Well bless these people they have adopted three that I have seen on RUclips. However and not just these babies or this adoption but many I have seen are so unprofessional! With the Nannie’s I mean. This nanny is crying and lingering when if there is a tight connection they should send the babies with another nanny not so invested with the child because it’s not good for the babies or in baby’s best interest. Not to mention the nanny is putting herself through torture saying goodbye to baby. I saw one that nanny taunted the baby away from Mom and of course child wanted the nanny. The parents should get their child and go out in hall if nothing else but staying where nanny is just tortures all of them.
oh for GODS sake give this child some space I cant believe your all so selfish she is scared and upset, and needs room its not rocket science, think how you would feel at that age, coax dont invade!!!
It may look simple to you, but it's not. Having been through this three times now and seen MANY others go through it as well, virtually every small child gets hysterical and screams at that time, no matter what you do. Our oldest didn't cry at all, which is incredibly rare, and that was with about 40 people in the room and a dozen babies being adopted and screaming at the same time. Our youngest, however, screamed like crazy and it was in a quiet hotel room with only us. This is a traumatic and confusing moment for these children, which is thankfully usually over with very quickly.

This is all so bloody heartbreaking ! After watching these gotcha days I didn’t realise what had gone on with the Chinese government in how they were correcting their policy on childbirth ! I have seen in the Uk Russian & Romanian adoption within the Uk with Uk parents and it is so much more humane ! I have also watched Chinese adoptees later on in life in America ! And they all seem to want to go back and see their heritage ! Which is natural x
Most horrable thing there is..Grab a baby from the only parents they have known. A toy is nothing to this child. This is so cruel i cant stand it. There are better ways to prepair by letting them get use to the people. with the care giver in the room. Ive watched some of them. There are no words. That baby is terrified.
We had zero options or control over the process in China. In any case, without going into any detail in a public forum, despite the difficulties she was better off with us than spending one more day in the place where she was.

It is painful for everyone...the child, because she it too little to understand what is happening, and for the new parents because they are there to help her but are powerless to spare her that initial pain. Amelie is now 8 years old, has had all of her medical needs met, and is a very happy child in a completely loving home.
Marilyn Luckhurst Selfish? That’s the last thing they are. Did you want them not to adopt her? She’s happy and healthy and safe. She would still be crying if she was still in the care system. It was always gonna be hard at first but babies do cry. I get your point about the snacks and toys being shoved at them, I don’t like that either but I’ve watched a lot of gotchas and in most cases it works! It’s amazing how fast a child can turn the tears off for some Cheerios! 😭😁❣️

Once they give them to the adoptive parents they need to go away-they just make it worse hanging around.

She was just mad but like over like she said, jammies and stacking cups always work their magic like with little Dani and Little Miss Nadia, DeMello, boss, sister, she’s like the voice of reason when they grow older she’ll be the one to like call me everybody down, and again, I loved how she was explaining, lord of the rings, when she looked like she was about to I’m assuming in this video forever I’m sad or depressed. I just watch that video and it puts a smile right back on my face. Nobody deserve these beautiful children more than this family and the mother. Well bless these people they have adopted three that I have seen on RUclips. However and not just these babies or this adoption but many I have seen are so unprofessional! With the Nannie’s I mean. This nanny is crying and lingering when if there is a tight connection they should send the babies with another nanny not so invested with the child because it’s not good for the babies or in baby’s best interest. Not to mention the nanny is putting herself through torture saying goodbye to baby. I saw one that nanny taunted the baby away from Mom and of course child wanted the nanny. The parents should get their child and go out in hall if nothing else but staying where nanny is just tortures all of them.
oh for GODS sake give this child some space I cant believe your all so selfish she is scared and upset, and needs room its not rocket science, think how you would feel at that age, coax dont invade!!!
It may look simple to you, but it's not. Having been through this three times now and seen MANY others go through it as well, virtually every small child gets hysterical and screams at that time, no matter what you do. Our oldest didn't cry at all, which is incredibly rare, and that was with about 40 people in the room and a dozen babies being adopted and screaming at the same time. Our youngest, however, screamed like crazy and it was in a quiet hotel room with only us.
This is a traumatic and confusing moment for these children, which is thankfully usually over with very quickly.

Poor little mite, she doesn't understand a thing thats going on, get her away then she just drop into place in your lovely family.
This is all so bloody heartbreaking ! After watching these gotcha days I didn’t realise what had gone on with the Chinese government in how they were correcting their policy on childbirth ! I have seen in the Uk Russian & Romanian adoption within the Uk with Uk parents and it is so much more humane ! I have also watched Chinese adoptees later on in life in America ! And they all seem to want to go back and see their heritage ! Which is natural x
Most horrable thing there is..Grab a baby from the only parents they have known. A toy is nothing to this child. This is so cruel i cant stand it. There are better ways to prepair by letting them get use to the people. with the care giver in the room. Ive watched some of them. There are no words. That baby is terrified.
We had zero options or control over the process in China. In any case, without going into any detail in a public forum, despite the difficulties she was better off with us than spending one more day in the place where she was.

Marilyn Luckhurst - It is traumatic for the child no matter how the transfer is done. It is painful for everyone...the child, because she it too little to understand what is happening, and for the new parents because they are there to help her but are powerless to spare her that initial pain. Amelie is now 8 years old, has had all of her medical needs met, and is a very happy child in a completely loving home.
Marilyn Luckhurst Selfish? That’s the last thing they are. Did you want them not to adopt her? She’s happy and healthy and safe. She would still be crying if she was still in the care system. It was always gonna be hard at first but babies do cry. I get your point about the snacks and toys being shoved at them, I don’t like that either but I’ve watched a lot of gotchas and in most cases it works! It’s amazing how fast a child can turn the tears off for some Cheerios! 😭😁❣️

i saw a lot of gotcha day and the babies always ate cheerios, why they have just cheerios and not another type of cereals?
