I’m so amazed of how you manage to simplify things compared to literally any other video on RUclips. Cant wait for the rest of this tutorial-series, Good job man !
So glad that you are sharing this EQ. I asked my instructor in class (Music Technology ) on how to do the EQ's and he said, "however you want it''. That's really a shame. Seems like I'm learning more from your tutorial. Thanks.....
That’s why I made this channel! Teachers were discouraging me as well… then I realized all these teacher and professors don’t even release music themselves! As a teacher I make sure to always be a student of the game. I actually release music and actually have a successful music business… I wanted to build something real instead all of these “teachers”
You may be the realest in the Game...Im not sure..but I am ready to spend money with you, which is an indicator of how I feel about your videos. Thanks for sharing!!

Your videos help me out so much man, thank you!!! You do a good job of explaining what you’re doing and why you are doing it, keep up the good work it’s much appreciated
great bro.... can we use same technique for equing other instruments... like guitar drums synth and percussions....? deductive eq and additive... nice concept.... whats bad we newd to cut whats good we newd to increase.... simple and powerful......😍
Awesome video and the details were simplified in such an easy to understand structure! I have a question though, do these steps for both deductive/additive EQ tailored to vocals apply to instrumentation such an guitars, bass and synths too? Probably a silly question, but thought I’d ask! Thank you for your help 😄
Man,thanks a lot you do a very good job,im a rnb singer and a Logic Pro beginner, i want record myself because i think i have a good ear for mixing too
i'm sure youve already addressed this, but does EQ come before compression, and everything else ? in fact, if you happen to read this, is there an appropriate sequential ORDER of things form start to finish ? If i had to guess, i would say, 1)EQ, 2) compression, 3)effects/vocal presets? then maybe touch up any eq one more time if neccessary ? either way, thank you G, for doing what you do. youre helping a LOT of people
You’re absolutely correct. Using an eq first to clean up the vocal. Then compression to tighten the vocal up. Then adding another eq to add crispness or shape it more , then effects. You can always switch the order as well to hear the difference and go with you ear. No right or wrong way to do it. It all comes down to what sounds dope to your ears
yoo I love your videos and you have 2 videos of EQ, one of them you do additive EQ as a normal one, but this one is a vintage graphic EQ, which ones rly better? plz lmk lol
Great video you make it so easy to understand! How would a plugin like CLA vocals impact on these? Should I do this EQ first then add CLA vocals for extra effect? Also do you do this for main vocals and do backing vocals differently or just the exact same?
with the equaliser what if you have more than three problem children (as in more than three points where the frequency is too annoying if that makes sense)
when taking out the lows i try the trick you do there but idk if its my voice or the eq but i can start to hear my voice at like 50 HZ.. so is that just the eq or is my voice like that? i just feel that im not taking enough out
I was just saying most people can't hear it because you'd need headphones or speakers to hear it. but some people think that because you can't hear it on a laptop speaker that you don't need to worry about it... but as you see every voice has bass that you need to take out.
Yo nice tutorials! Just one thing , I`ve learned that u usually cut around 90-100 hz to not affect the "body" of the vocal, and u can add air in the 10-1200 hz area. I know every vocal is different just looking for feedback.

underrated tubers :(
Hey Jordan I see that you have a stereo option for channel EQ? Mine only shows a Mono option, do you know how to fix that?
Turn your track into stereo

BAYWOOD BAYWOOD BAYOOD!!!!!
HRLEY!!!!
Why u don't put plugins link on bellow too bro
Because they’re stock plugins only in logic
can u do another eq tutorial on how to hear the bad frequencies in vocals
yes I can do this
@@Baywood ok kool
THANKS !

Great video you make it so easy to understand! How would a plugin like CLA vocals impact on these? Should I do this EQ first then add CLA vocals for extra effect?
Also do you do this for main vocals and do backing vocals differently or just the exact same?
should work out just fine! I would use the eq first and then the cla -- always worth experimenting too!
Bro is your song in spotify, pls anyone let me know I wanna listen this song
with the equaliser what if you have more than three problem children (as in more than three points where the frequency is too annoying if that makes sense)
try dipping them out and listen to how it sounds. if it doesnt sound better, I would re-record
Are you generally gain staging before pitch correcting etc..
Also the eq deduction tip is great. I'm going to start using it that way. 🎉
Yes before anything I balance all levels if needed
76% Dude I cried when I hear you say that 😭
I cry every time I see it :(
what song is this it honestly is super catchy

Jordan Baywood you’re a genius
😊👍Another video 😊🎵
Thank you again
never saw someone add an high cut to a vocal so "early" but yeah
where do you get the graphic eq from
It is a stock plugin built into Logic Pro X
How do you slow down specific vocals, sometimes my vocals seem to fast for the beat?
make sure you set the bpm of the project to match your beat, make sure to record dry also!
@@Baywood youre supposed to record all vocals dry???? damn maybe thats why my mixes been ass lmao im learning a lot from you fr
@@deebo865 you don‘t need to, u can record wirh effects and adjust later
Yo does eq come with logic or do u have to buy it sepratly
EQ will come with Logic as a stock plugin
@@Baywood thank u u really help me out bro
Bruh what song this is?
Thank for this B. I send you a mail but get no reply yet
bruh i just got logic today but this my 10th time watchin this video in the past couple days

Are you literally pitch correcting your vocals for this video? 😂
Bro wtf confetti exploded all up in my face, got in my eyes n shhit, never hittin that like button again smh

Good information but still too basic.. Especially with stock plugins lol. At least use Waves, Slate, Fabfilter or anything but the stock plugins..
