Man bro you’ve helped me so freaking much with my mixing skills people listen to my music like it’s so clear they think I record at a big studio when I’m at home! Thank you man. So much.
i fw this tutorial 💯i would say tho with the parallel compression, if u send the full signal level to the send, the compressor would hit harder and then u can just blend it using the track mixer
Can’t wait to watch this one , no matter how much I mix and master and get better there is always more to learn and you just throw it out there so clearly bro . Thank you again 👽👁️
this step by step guides are gold. i purchased some of your presets a year ago and tweaked one i really liked (called "mean clean") a little bit, the difference is big when recording and hearing yourself crisper and punchier. so many thanks
Dear Baywood, greetings from Kigali Rwanda. My name is Elisee, I am in Primary 5. Thank you so much for this Video. It is clear and I have been straggling to complete my production, on mixing and mastering. You made my evening and now I am successful. I will share my video for your comments, since now I have just finished my exam and now on Chrismas holiday, I am free on my production. God bless you
I kinda had a bit of knowledge with mixing, but I had no clue what buses did until I watched this, helps so much now that I understand now, keep it up bro
I have way too many plug-ins!!!!! When I was first starting out I thought I needed them to get a good vocal track. Turned out I wasn't looking at the fundamentals. I had everything I needed right here in logic! Thank you for reminding me to look within first. Stock Logic Rules!!
Absolutely! If you can’t do it with stock plugins then it’s either marketing making you think that or don’t actually understand the fundamentals . Only use certain paid plugins that help speed up the process OR actual produce higher quality results.
Bought your vocal sauce pack a while back. Helped a lot. But seeing the process also helps a ton. Wanted to get a better understanding of the levels of the vocals versus the beat and how to balance so the vocals are not too low or too upfront. It may be a preference thing but my brain prefers numbers 😅. I'll try the gain option I saw you use to match the waveform of the beat but I still wanted to know how to tell when it's just about right
Bro, enjoyed the break down on the mixing process. You always take me to the next level...please keep making these kind of video's tou are a great teacher...🫡
@@Baywood dude please I got mine almost 6 months ago and am still trying to learn it, I got everything down except for which plugins to use and how to layer them, also I have trouble with Unison as I dont know which preamps sound good, maybe you can make 2 seperate videos bro

Your ear will take some time to develop and know what to listen for. Spend a day mixing your vocal a bunch of different ways and experimenting. That will help grow your ear
cant watch as song is not good...... quality over quantity should be the motto.. MJ, Biggie 2pac and all greats must be turning in they grave will all this horrible music.. They are not artist they just are people who had a idea and never gave it too the best person to deliver it
And how do you think those people became so good at what they do? For both songwriting and mixing experience and practice is far more significant than any gift somebody might be born with. Write songs until they are finished, mix them as best you can, learn from it and start the process all over again. This is the way to develop your abilities.

Thank you! And yes you’re 100% right about the parallel compression
Just what I was about to say.

It is a preference and an ear thing you will get a feel for after mixing a lot of vocals. It also depends on the genre as well
@@Baywood thank you for the feedback.
Great vid bro 💯
Glad you enjoyed!

@@Baywood thank you
Very nice mate
Thanks 👍
Nice job bro thanks
Any time
amazing. thank you. You don't use the new mastering assistant from logic ?
This was made and released before the mastering assistant came out. I made a video about it tho!
@@Baywood thanks im gonna watch it. do you think it can replace all the plugins you put on the stereo out rack ?
You're gonna be the greatest
Could I send you a project to do a tutorial on ?
Yes of course!! Projects@baywoodaudio.com
How come the loudness reading shows -9db but on the Master meter it shows 0.7db? 21:13
Loudness levels is different than the decibel meter. Always focus on loudness level. RMS.
@@Baywood Okkk. Thanks for clearing that up man
2:27 could’ve told us how did you turn all the plug-ins off so swiftly
Click and drag down over the power buttons
this is money 💰🔥
bro I love you
🔥🔥🔥 bro, thxs!
Is it now ready for spotify ?
Move the plug in so we can see what the editing window doing
It’s not doing anything besides playing the vocal and beat
No gains staging into each plugin?
Can you do one for fl studio with the stems as well?
Please and thank you 😊
Yes I will make that happen :)
@@Baywood thank you brother!!!!!!!!

The other plugins on the Tracks are there but the Bus ones are gone.
Can you help me please
Send a screen recording to support@baywoodaudio.com we can help!

Bro I’ve been following you a minute. Learned how to mix in Logic with some of your tips. I have a song that needs mastering. Please hit me up 🤙
HMU! @baywoodmusic
🔥
who is the artist? I like his emotion, and kind of scream passion in this.
Cool
Who is the artist? Has this song been released?
Rapper needs to record better or get a better mic that clipping in the audio sent to u is driving me crazy
Good info tho appreciate you!
whats the song its fire
Can you help me mix my song ?
I will for free
My problem is I can’t hear the difference when I do this stuff myself 😭 everything always sounds the same

@@Baywoodso true. They taught us that at Full Sail University. Eat training. Our teacher she told us to close our eyes and listen. That helped me out.
