    I wish someone would send me a Mother's Day box of succulents! They are my favorite plants! All of those are so beautiful! I love them! Such a great gift idea. Maybe one day? 🥹

    Hi there! Do you have any tips for grow light selection and setup? Thanks a lot🌻🌻🌟

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  Год назад

      We do! Tldr: full spectrum, 300-800 lumens per square foot, within 12" of your plants, and on for 12-14 hours per day. For more info, here's the writeup we wrote on succulent grow lights: mountaincrestgardens.com/blog/succulent-grow-light-recommendations/

    can you tell me if i put gravel at thet op of my pots round the plants (as i like that look) will the pups stil be able to push throuh?

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  11 месяцев назад +1

      They will! 1/4"-1/2" depth of gravel top dressing is usually sufficient to cover the soil while still being thin enough for new offsets to root through.

    It looks like each plant was lightly placed in its spot. Does that mean you should not press the dirt down firmly around each plant?

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  11 месяцев назад

      Sorry, most of the dirt pressing probably got cut in the edit. But yes, you can tamp down the soil to hold your succulents firmly in place!

    Curious, what size pot is used in the arrangement? The largest terracotta pot in the provided link is only 3"

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  Год назад +1

      This is a 6" diameter pot. So sorry, we're sold out of our larger terracotta!

    • @ImmortalCrabman
      @ImmortalCrabman Год назад

      @@Mountaincrestgardens I was guessing it to be a 6", thank you for clarifying.

    How long can these succulents stay in this arrangement/pot?

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  Год назад +1

      Succulents can last a very long time in an arrangement. It certain depends on which types you plant and their growing conditions, but I generally don't transplant for at least two years, because I like a tight, clustered looks and succulents do fine (and stay compact) in very snug conditions.

    What soil mix do you use?

    • @Mountaincrestgardens
      @Mountaincrestgardens  10 месяцев назад

      Lots of mixes can work, just be sure they have lots of gritty, mineral material so they're well-draining. This video details lots of possible ingredients if you want to make your own or improve a store-bought succulent soil: mtncr.co/soil
