Massive Open Chords For Ambient Shoegaze

Some chords for much softer, ambient Shoegaze without as much fuzz as usual.
More towards the Dream Pop sound of the late 80s.
Chords sound good strummed with loads of fuzz and reverb too!

I went easier on the fuzz this time as I think it's easier to hear all the notes of the chords this way.

Could chords like this be used for rhythm guitar while a lead instrument plays a single line over the top? These chords are gorgeous but I wonder if the effects mean this is “meant” to be the main guitar sound or if there’s still room for a lead on top without muddying up the mix.

Ah you could definitely put lead over them.
Large chords are used in jazz but not always for a solo instrument
