Making the lead characters rehearse a Romeo and Juliet play is like THE way for writers to say the characters are into eachother without saying it outright, and I know that because that trope is *so* common in mainstream hetero romances that it's a modern cliche at this point. So the way that more people aren't yelling about that scene confuses me, because it was THE moment for me as someone who enjoys analyzing romance media a lot lol
