One thing I picked up early from BABYMETAL is that sometimes the choreography can be very literal. So that lick, the motion across the chest and the five-knuckle shuffle had me rushing to find a good translation of the lyrics. That bit of naughtiness was my first tip-off for what alternative idols were about. Add in the epicness of the track (love the strings and the dense production) and I was pretty much sold on BiSH on the first listen. The title of the track is a bit of a jibe at fans moaning that too much of their material was tied to other product promotions, e.g. anime. It was released without warning on the same day as a double A-side that was a tie-up. They had done a similar stunts previously, e.g. releasing THE GUERiLLA BiSH album without notice at a ridiculously low price. All of the music for WACK artists is currently written by Matsukuma Kenta. You probably haven't noticed it yet, but there is a signature sound underpinning WACK groups' music. (His own band, Buzz72+, has recently reformed.) He also contributes lyrics alongside WACK founder Watanabe Junnosuke. Lots of the WACK group members also contribute lyrics and they also have external writers. I think everyone in BiSH has contributed lyrics and I know AiNA has at least one credit for composition. They have quite a lot of shouty parts in some tracks, taking it as far as deranged screaming in places. I have never found a written explanation for the lowercase 'i', but it is something most WACK groups do (e.g. BiS, EMPiRE, MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN). It is very common to use uppercase Latin letters in Japanese for style. My personal interpretation is the lowercase 'i' is symbolic of them not being normal idols. My only evidence comes from WACK group PARADISES, who always use uppercase 'I' and appear to be a 'light side' true idol group. Of course, it could just be a stylistic choice.
All the girls in BiSH have written lyrics for songs with Momo & LingLing having quite a lot, I believe. Watanabe insists on it, with EMPiRE having to have at least one writing credit each on their albums, iirc.
I'm loving BiSH more and more. The version of "NON Tie-UP" in "From Dusk Till Dawn" is just freaking awesome! ... I became a hard-core fan of Ayuni D after PEDRO and both BiSH's "NON TiE-UP" + PEDRO's "Pistol in my hand" live at YOKOHAMA ARENA...
It’s BiSH’s epic and interesting MVs like these that always make me wonder what the effect would be like if Band-Maid ever had access to the budgets that go into these movie-like MVs. This is probably my favourite BiSH song and I think the MV has a lot to do with it.
It's mostly green screen and a few hours with Adobe After Effects. It's not huge budget. I think BAND-MAID probably spent more on Daydreaming. Pure speculation though. It works well because it is a great visual idea and well executed. You can say the same about lots of BiSH videos. I think BAND-MAID likes to put more focus on showcasing their skills playing instruments. I often wonder if BiSH's MV for TOMORROW is mocking that style and/or the criticism that they "don't play their own instruments".
BiSH are the premier group within the aegis of the Watanabe Artistic Creative Corporation Wack), whole focus is on nurturing alt Idol groups. Their longest running group is Bis ( not to be confused with BiSH) A lot of their promotions feature the words Shit and fuck profusely; I don’t know why. Other Wack groups include Saint Sex, Empire, Holy Shits, Bully Idol, Gang Parade, and the newest Mamasheba no Taigun. The video is not the newest as Ayuni D still has long hair. Ayuni D is also in the Indie style group Pedro as the bassist/vocalist/lyricist along with guitarist Tabuchi Hisako - formerly with Bloodthirsty Butchers and Number Girl. Next week BiSH are jointly presenting the Japan MTV Awards.
Yes, more BiSH! Thanks! :) Fantastic song, I kinda wished you did the live version from Bring Icing Shit Horse Tour...but I'm happy you reacted to this!
The vocals that were in the back were sung by Atsuko, she's not a main vocalist and as far as I'm aware this was her first real solo singing part, which led to her being the 4th girl to get a solo single. she has lines here and there like the rest of the girls, but she's mostly the joker of the group who fucks about a lot. The main vocalists are Aina The End and Cent Chihiro Chicchi, although Ayuni D seems to have been bumped up to a main lead now too, but Atsuko isn't as strong a singer as the other girls. She is fucking hilarious though and absolutely kills it like all 6 of them.
Years and years later, I stand by the opinion that this is the best Japanese Idol group to ever have existed. 7 years since I first heard them and I still can't get enough. Honestly my favourite Japanese act ever.
Thanks for the intro to this group. Yo when you air guitar....I like that you hold your guitar pick the metal way. I know many guitarists that don’t even believe that form exists it’s crazy🤣
This is probably my favorite BiSH song. I think it’s funny that those are clearly Star Destroyers from Star Wars in the sky in the background of the video.
Bish doesn't write the music; though they do take turns in writing some of the lyrics. There house composer/producer is Matsukuma Kenta, also known as the guitarist of Buzz72+.
This song in particular is a bit of a meme. before this they made a couple of anime theme songs and commercial jingles: "tie-up songs"n as they call them in Japan. The manager was sicked of the fans complaining and this song is the result of it.

Hey. At least ya got the video this time.
React to mv of Distance
BiSH = Brand-new idol SHiT
Fact.
Yeet!
I just want to prepare you, that BiSH is releasing a new album in august called "Going to Destruction"....as always they mean business...
Oh snap!
You're 2 years late. But nevermind. Keep throwback to the past!
BiSH have took my heart since their GiANT KiLLER MV.
Updated Power Rangers for this century.
Do 'Promise the star' please. It's so hard to find reactions to it!
Ok we got it written down!
@@dicodec Fair warning, the video is generic angsty schoolgirl rooftop trash, but it's a great tune.

Keyakizaka46 are musically they best 46/48 group by far. So many good songs.

Is it me or my headphones is making them drown in epic music,
Nope, you're not crazy
