Picking mine up tomorrow morning for 300. 14' olive color, but want to do the birch bark paint. Love these canoes and never had one, im so excited to go fishing and deer hunting .
My grandfather got one just like that back in the early 70's and we'd take it up and down pomme de terre river here in Missouri. It had the same foam seats. Ours has a wooden mount that was made to go across the canoe and mount a trolling motor.
I love these canoes, my grandfather had one with the transom back and man it was awesome. My grandma sold it when I was small but I remember during flood season canoeing in between the trees straight into what was the woods and my grandpa looking at me and saying "this is where a conoe shines" my grandfather never wanted for a fishing boat I think he liked the fact he could go more places with it. I'd like to buy one soon and get my kids out on the river and more intouch with nature.
Do it! I just bought one with two holes a few days ago. Needs new foam and some ribs. Good project for me and the kid and then we'll be on the rivers in the spring. Best of luck!
Radison and sportspal are exactly the same in every way. Both same company out of North bay Ontario and a great boat. I have the 16 foot sportspal with the motor mount
How about a video on fly fishing for steel head or northern south of this sportspal. I have the 14’ full transom model. Trying to learn to fly fish for Northerns up here in Canada. Steve(66yrs)
Sportspal makes a mount for your trolling motor. I have an extra one new in the box, if interested. You a can also buy a yoke that you can install to make it easier to carry.
Sports pal I thought originated in Canada ? 14 ft is a small canoe but this is one wide canoe they are great for fishing etc but I do not know about being in a big lake with the wind. Have you tried that out yet? I am thinking of getting one never thought I would but there are some nice shallow rivers here and I think it will be perfect. Thanks for the review and have fun with that boat so cool you can even fly fish in it. Tell your wife this Canadian thinks she better grab a paddle or you can call her Cleopatra going down the Nile
Yes, it did originated in North Bay Ontario and still built there. The original was developed around 1947 by an RCAF airframe engineer who wanted a light canoe to use in the bush. At some point the right to manufacture and market the design in the US market was sold to an American company, who tweaked it to their taste. For this reason, the original Sportspal (made in Canada) is sold as "Radisson" in the US market.
What's going on bro I haven't even watched this full video but I see you been cranking them out. Hope you have a good holiday and catch lots of fish! I am going to be trying to come out that way this spring I want to fish Michigan I have fish to Salmon River back in like 2001. So stay fishy dude keep your head on straight and push forward bro!
Hahah yeah brother I had soooo much old footage like reviews and stuff that I did on my computer and I broke the screen so I have to take it all off 😂😂 so I’m just editing it and posting it all to get it off my phone haha! If you’re ever my way would love to fish with you
Nice setup. My wife isn't much for paddling. I show lots of repair and restoration videos on my channel if you encounter any issues. Cheers from Canada
@@OutpourOutdoors ok thanks I want to troll fishing for salmon on the great lakes but wasn't sure if it was stable safe? I really like this exact canoe and set up you have. I really don't want a kayak. So basically you'd may capsize but not sink? Thanks again
Thanks for making this video. We bought this one last year and need to repair some stuff and you’ve helped a lot!

I am looking at a very similar canoe. Do you know if this is the same boat as “Michi craft s15”?
Just an FYI if you have a motor on that you have to register it in NYS. Just saying because I didn't notice any numbers on the boat. Tight lines
I’m aware thank you 🙏🏽
What are these made of? Would hesitate to put this in lets says lake Michigan?
Aluminum! And totally! I took mine on Lake Erie! It’s super stable

Great for duck hunting too.
Radison is now for US market, Sportspal for Canada….both exactly same and made in same Canadian factory
What happened to the 14ft Sea Nymph?
I actually sold it and kept the trailer wanted to get a 16 foots so I’ll be looking for that first thing in the spring
@@OutpourOutdoors Well darn. Those are great boats.
@@OutpourOutdoors I would recommend an Alweld 15. There light ish and there super stable.
@@jakecarriveau4100 man thanks to much I’ll take a look at those right now!
