The actual produced album versions are better than the live performances, especially Polumnia Omnia.

For Polumnia Omnia, it is a common opinion that the in game/album version is better than the live version because it is sang by the main producer of the song, along with it conveying more the sadness of the boss properly.
However it’s still a great song regardless !

And Yu Peng Chen's tenor voice sounds like if scaramouche himself sang it

Wait it is a common opinion? Damn that sucks, I love the live version a lot cuz I focused more on the rage feeling portion of the song the first time I heard it in game than the sadness portion. Seemed like Scara was more frustrated and annoyed at where fate took him than just wallowing in his sadness. I liked the different approach.

Loved your reaction! Fun fact both of these are only one phase of the actual boss theme, so the full boss theme is actually nearly twice as long 😆

Absolutio Absoluta Absolutissime was sung in Latin throughout the song whereas Polumnia Omnia was sung in Latin and Japanese. Both were performed in the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra as stated in the description of the videos.

The song fits arlecchino so much because of the imminent danger you can sense from her as we know she's the 4th fatui harbinger being only the 4th and having such immense presence really show how strong their organization is

Polumnia Omnia is the theme of a character whose one of his names/titles is "Scharamouche", after the character from the Commedia Del'arte - he's part of an organization where all members are named after these Commedia Del'arte characters (the first song you reacted is the theme of a character called Arlecchino, also from the same organization, for example). Explaining all of this, so I can point out how Hoyoverse saw the opportunity with Scaramouche and took it: his character has MASSIVE references to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody all over his lore ("Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the fandango?"). He has all sorts of refs, but long story short, the shot at 9:18 with the singer in the middle of the black screen surrounded by the choir is a direct ref to Bohemian Rhapsody's music video: and the line they are singing in that moment," Nunquam genitus desiderem" is Latin for "I wish I had never been born" - just like in the Queen's song. It's just so cool!

Polumnia Osia is Scaramouche's both theme who's originally from Inazuma (Japan inspired region in Genshin impact) so that's why main singer uses Japanese between singing in Latin

I love how Hoyovers featuring Bass and Alto on their videos instead of Tenors and Sopranos. Bass and Alto is very underated and overshadowed from Tenor and Soprano
So really respect Hoyoverse on that ❤

    "This persons the main character"
To be fair in her story quest yes. Because the bossfight is basically Vergil fighting you and owning your ass doing judgement cuts with two scythes if you feel brave enough to stay in one place close to her for more than fifteen seconds and just instantly die. Then she'll just do round trips with them as well.

the singer of the first song here, absolutio absoluta absolutissime, is a mezzo soprano opera singer, which explains how deep her voice goes AND why she IS, indeed, the main character. all opera singers who qualify for soloists are like that. they put you up for solos and suddenly you are god and all the worm at your feet beware or sth (i went to an art institute where the four arts were contained in the same buildings, i've met PLENTY opera singers and, with the help of my class clucking to bohemian rhapsody in tune and synchrony hitherto unknown outside an opera house, pissed off many others aksjsjkhdf) (that was NOT in fact a diss at them, it's a feature bc the shit they put their voice through is no joke and between opera singing and fried vocal screamo idk which one finishes your vocal chords faster) (it's screamo but only bc opera has a thousand years' worth of medicine and paliative care in it, whereas the fried guttural singing scene doesn't and is praised for not doing so)
