This is the first gameboy game I've ever played back in 1990, Christmas of 1990 in fact. I use to play this game all the time. I have tons of nostalgia for this game, haha. I never beat it, but it looks like I wasn't missing out on much.
Might not be a very good game, but David Wise's soundtrack is good. I especially like the re-done version of the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon for the title screen music.
When I was a kid, I let my older cousin convince me that the ending said, “Oh Peter, I knew you’d come, but we should really just stay friends.” That way the game over music would be more fitting. 😂
The controls in this really were shit but I love the music and the designs + comic style panel scenes, Mysterio and the Hobgoblin were always pretty fun bosses for me as a kid. One of the first games I ever played
Excellent game I absolutely loved it, it took me ages to eventually learn how to beat both The Rhino and Venom boss. I only ever completed the whole game once!
I never got through the entire game without using a continue, so I never got first place in the top 10. I always failed before or in the Sewers. But damn, that was a great run, and this without losing a life. I couldn't do that myself, and I played the game a lot when I was younger.
Wikipedia of the Russian language called this game successful. In Europe, the video game, oddly enough, was published by Nintendo, probably because LJN can share licenses with someone.

With the WWF games on the NES, the shitty Wizard & Warriors series, Who framed Roger Rabbit, Anticipation, Taboo, Wheel of Fortune, Beetlejuice, Double Dare and the list goes on and on. The only good game they made at the time was RC Pro Am and yet, they somehow didn't go bankrupt which is a shame because after 1993 they went on to become the most overrated development studio of all time.
