To be fair Gilgamensch is the one who is a bit out of the pattern here on the list. He certainly fits the "cocky" tag of the title, but unlike all the others here he actually really could back it up. All the others here are defeated or showed to be weak, foolishly overrate their own strength and so on, but Gilga really was the strongest of his verse. The term superiority complex probably doesnt apply if he trully is superior since he actually had never tasted defeat (nor in life, nor as a champion nor as a ressurected champion) and it is also shown that he lost not because he was weaker but because he was not willing to use everything he could at the enemy. I think that is a really strong contrast to pretty much everyone else in here who simply got outbeaten and shown to be weaker while at same time being cocky.
Cheetu was a lovely character, I felt sad when he died. He was misguided and confused, but if he had a proper tutor, he would have been an amazing magical beast

@@tylerloan6604He's really not if you're caught up on the manga. Sure he's still not even remotely powerful as a magic knight, but his character development from his first appearance to the recent chapters is excellent.
2:37 Putting the fact you said SAO was a "good" anime aside, this is a huge plot hole and I'm glad you brought it up. You somewhere in his monologue he told Kirito that he turned off the pain censers and in fact pushed them past there limits (I think it was like 11 0r 12) to the point where it should effect you in real life, and yet after all that he was still able to attack him in the real world. The only good thing about this show is the abridged parody!
Clementine death terrified me because she was basically Bear hugged to death. But Respect to her because she stuck in all the way till the end. She didn't Scream or Beg for mercy, like what other female character would do when they get got. She kept fighting against him and doing everything she can until her last breathe. Respect.
Tbh, I respect you for respecting her with that kind of perspective. I actually felt bad for Clementine somehow when she died that way like a helpless gohan instead of a warrior despite being as arrogant like any other on the list. Hearing the guy say *”Claimed her soul”* broke my heart as she didn’t had any chance to redeem herself. Saying this makes me feel absolutely different from everyone else who’d normally feel satisfaction from arrogant brats like her.
I'm disappointed that Tensura didn't make this list considering that almost all of the antagonist in season 2 are cocky and prideful as heck. Hopefully they make part 2.
What's really funny here is that, usually, "prideful/arrogant" villains get "taken down a notch" by the hero and that's it. Here, Clayman (the "prideful villain") not only gets taken down a notch, he gets stomped to the ground and dragged across the mud...by Shion (a subordinate of the MC!) He powers up (gains "ultimate power") towards the end of the penultimate episode of the season...only to get killed by the MC even before the intro of the final episode ends! 😂
You forgot to include the most satisfying scene of this kind: the one from Rising of the Shield Hero, where Malty and the king almost got executed by the queen. EVERYONE loves that one.
Watching Sugou get what was coming to him (both in VR and IRL) after the shit he pulled was oh so satisfying, I’m just disappointed it only happened twice. 6:50 You got his name wrong, it’s not Sekke, it’s HU HA
The epic one for me is when Luffy punched Bellamy instantly KO'd him during pre-timeskip cause that is the moment where he doesn't give a shit anymore due to him seen Bellamy as someone who is unworthy to catch a glimpse of fights while for his other opponents he always gives them a decent fight.
You missed the point of that fight entirely Luffy only punched him because he hurt someone he viewed as a friend and he would have done the same to all of his enemies if he could
@@hbsavage0387 I said pre-timeskip bruh. Not Dressrosa's arc. Back during their first encounter Bellamy was an a-hole who mocks people's dream including Luffy's which is why when Luffy confronted him for stealing what is important he ko'd him in one shot.
For me the most satisfying moment in Fate UBW is when cocky Shinji gets punched into a wall by lancer - “Ah really sorry about that, I meant to say stop but I punched you instead”
Gilgamesh was not in his right mind. The original Gilgamesh did know how to use his weapons and was a devastating fighter. Gilgamesh in ubw was corrupted by the tainted grail which weakened him greatly.
Tbh the most satisfying moment for me was in the time I got reincarnated as a slime. Those really cocky adventurers really got what was coming to them, especially kyoya
You should have mentioned monet from one piece, she was extremely cocky because she had a logia fruit, which basically gave her the ability to turn into snow so she couldn't be hit, and Zoro, who she assumed didn't have haki (which allows people to hit logia users), scratched her cheek, showing he had some semblance of haki, so while she was being cocky he walked up to her and sliced her in half, but luckily he wasn't using haki, but she was writhing on the floor, barely struggling to keep her form because of the horror that if he had used haki in that EXACT moment she would be super dead.
I was expecting the guy who kept trash talking to anos voldigaod (misfit of demon king academy) . Where anos then kept killing and resurrecting him in the arena
"Twice the pride, double the fall". Quite a deep sayin'. It gets quite fulfillin' ta see cocky villains get crushed ta death, just like Jotaro did ta Steel Dan, or Kirito ta that Fairy Dude, or Ainz ta that assassin Clementine.
Ngl I've watched Demon LORD about six times, the best part in most battle(at least early on) is that anybody does anything and Diablo just goes "haha uno reverse card sucker"
The Best Part from Sword Art Online is the part which actually makes the name. the rest is just weird in my opinion the rest of the seasons are always something about rape.. wtf happened to that good story. Yea it is still good but that one makes it worse for me. I would also list Mo Fan vs Yu Ang from Quan Zhi Fashi, also known as Versatile Mage, it is a great fight and a great moment when the bad one is cocky and get smacked on the ground, what he deserves
Welp I dropped the series right after it ended with Asuna learnt Mother Rosario cause personally I like GGO arc more cause it gives us a different vibes than ALO. It is such as shame it kind of bombed abruptly.
The SAO part when you said you wanted him to suffer more just remember after kirito got the GM command he max his pain transfer so every pain he felt was close or more than painful leading to the guy's hair turning white because of metal damage
I really like the Overlord scene with Clementine, just the whole scene with Ainz and her was really well acted out (in the dub cuz thats all I watch). That scene just hits different.
The last one is a toss up to me cause in the first season during the hunter exam killua went up against that butcher doctor who was WAAAY overconfident cause his opponent was a child.
All of these characters were me when I said to myself after finishing a few monster hunter titles saying to myself "Dark souls will be easy" I also experienced their same fate.
Like all the OP characters in Anime, Gilgamesh also lost due to Plot Armor, seriously, he had all the time to use his final treasure but he waited for his hand to get cut first
@@materialnothing2742 totally, thinking it is plot armor is one of the shittiest takes, _especially_ when Gilgamesh was totally against using Ea since the beginning. Even at the end. He never thought of Shirou as an equal, this fully highlighted by him not using Merodach
There's no plot armor, the mongrel king tends to use his blades more than his brain (if he got some inside his skull of course), that's all how it is and you gotta accept it.
The part where Kirito destroyed Sugo is one of my favorites. Because the way he violated or raped Asuna is unacceptable and unforgivable, if I was in that scene I’ll cut off his fingers, toes, ears and eyes then feed all of them to him as punishment for what he did.
The best part? All the pain the avatar felt not only transfered to reality, IT STAYED WITH HIM FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE! He's forever walking around with the pain of a sword stabbing through his skull, his hand being chopped off, and being cut in half at the waist. He was also stupid enough to attack Kirito in reality while feeling all of that, so Kirito humiliates him AGAIN, almost killing him before going into the hospital where Asuna is and having the nurse on duty call the police.

I'm not sure if this video came out before the episode aired, but having the duel with the spear hero instead of the scene where Malty goes on trial and all her lies come out into the light, vindicating the shield hero, is a bit of a crime. That whole sequence brings me great catharsis every time I see it lol.
Also about Gilgamesh's pride being his downfall, he could've beaten Shirou if he pulled out Ea, but he hesitated because that would mean admitting that he was threatened by someone he deemed so far below him
he doesn't even need Ea, just his armor would be enough. Well, few shield and he can chill and drink wine, while Shirou tries to break his shields. But armor... nope, not a chance.

Fate even dominates the doujin community
Tbh Gilgamesh deserved every bit of his pride, the reason he died so miserably is because he was driven by his emotions.
Someone: "pride is one of the greatest sins given too us humans"
Vegeta: who decided that??
Hate to say but vegeta gets punished for his pride more that he’s ever profited from it.
@@agnotuz6791 Disagree. Vegeta due to his pride, more than once avoided manipulation by villain heroes. He didn't let anyone to control of the body of the Prince of Saiyans, due to his pride. And due to his pride, he kept progressing to not be left behind by Goku.
@@fnxph03n1x has he ever really won more times due to his pride than lost?
@@agnotuz6791 if he was humble, he'd not have won them either. Vegeta's driving force is his pride. That's the reason he keeps getting stronger
@@fnxph03n1x That's why he hates Goku Black. He knows that Goku worked to attain the power he posseses, and that power of that calibur should not be stolen. Also when Jiren criticized him for being cocky, he even admits that he's prideful in the Saiyan race and embraces it. It's the reason I like Vegeta.
I don't think you gave enough context to the #2 spot. See, Teruki actually knocked Mob out, which released the terrifying power he's been keeping in check. That power was enough to destroy Teruki's entire school and send him and all of the debris thousands of feet into the air. Mob did this... IN HIS SLEEP. When he woke up, he got super sad that he couldn't control himself and perfectly rebuilt the school, so all's well that ends well...
i feel like that latter part is even scarier. its easy to destroy but to rebuild? god damn and its a one to one replication/restoration too
Cheetu dying was hilarious I remember spitting out my drink when he got squashed...like a bug
I kinda like Sekke tbh at first he is a cocky person that only wants attention but soon he will realized and they take inspiration from Asta later on as the episode progresses. Also, in the trials where Asta got accused for being demon-possessed he was actually relieved that Asta did not get executed meaning he actually cares about him now. I like when characters like these can change and develop overtime.
He's just a joke still though and is always trying to take credit for others work
@@tylerloan6604He's really not if you're caught up on the manga. Sure he's still not even remotely powerful as a magic knight, but his character development from his first appearance to the recent chapters is excellent.
"If your bored and want to hate on someone " lmao. That made my day.
Yooooo Clayman getting multi punched by Shion in this week's episode of Tensura got me giggling so much lol
She completely went to town on him. Though his death at Rimuru's hands was very satisfying.
Light novel reader.
@@jonmcgee6987 not a manga/novel reader but I don't shy away from spoilers, if his fight with Yuuki gets animated one day my life will be complete 🙏🏻
And you have to read the light novel to understand why some was skipped
Dead anime stay dead
I love how it's almost always sogou's VA that plays the role of cocky characters that get totally destroyed
Random demon slayer: get off imma kill this kid demon
Kid demon: *dices him up*
Clementine death terrified me because she was basically Bear hugged to death. But Respect to her because she stuck in all the way till the end. She didn't Scream or Beg for mercy, like what other female character would do when they get got. She kept fighting against him and doing everything she can until her last breathe. Respect.
that's not something respectful she's just stupid😭
@@Sara-lr4pz true, she is stupid. But I like the fact that she wasn't begging for help or hoping for mercy. She stuck it out till the very end.
Yea no one else felt bad
@@Jo-Wilbe-Dina yeah even if she was shown mercy she most likely would not redeem herself so she needed to be put down
"Pride Goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall"

Another reason why I don't like to boast about myself and to others to be humble and thankful.
I'm disappointed that Tensura didn't make this list considering that almost all of the antagonist in season 2 are cocky and prideful as heck. Hopefully they make part 2.
I enjoyed watching those otherworlders getting their ass handed to em, hopefully they do make a part 2 and include it
Geld stomping Shogo from Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken should be on this list. One of the most beautiful way in destroying cocky people.
@@shadowclone9571 you watched the season finale too. It was 👩🏾🍳😘. It was amazing.
AINZ killing Clementine easily by simply hugging her as mage made him a GOAT.
I thank you so much for making more people know about rising of the shield hero. It is a must see and has all the trills can't wait for part two.
Vegeta letting cell become perfect : * sweats nervously *
Just the way Clementine died. Slowly being crushed to death whilst the small bolts on her armour kept popping off.
Some dude: pride is the worst sin you could commit!
Lion sin escanor be like: "and who decided that?I am the one who decides such things"
"CRUEL SUN"
Your thumbnail with Clementine made me watch the video lol. That's how much I love Overlord.

Welll done.
This Black Swordsman was able to do something his predecessor was unable to do.
Let’s keep in mind that when Ainz killed Clementine, he used nothing but pure physical strength to do it. She wasn’t even worth a low level spell.
@thedestroyer_ Pretty much.
For me the most satisfying moment in Fate UBW is when cocky Shinji gets punched into a wall by lancer - “Ah really sorry about that, I meant to say stop but I punched you instead”
My favorite ones are where an antagonist gets it handed to them from someone weaker then them. True pride destroyer
Anos and escanor watching this and laughing.
Gilgamesh was not in his right mind. The original Gilgamesh did know how to use his weapons and was a devastating fighter. Gilgamesh in ubw was corrupted by the tainted grail which weakened him greatly.
New subscriber. I like watching these types of uploads. Thank you
Tbh the most satisfying moment for me was in the time I got reincarnated as a slime. Those really cocky adventurers really got what was coming to them, especially kyoya
"Don't talk smack or you will get macked" -Sun shitzu2.0 probably.
Tell that to escanor
9:15 I love that scene so much
I still love Envy in FMA:B getting blown up over and over.
Or Enel especially him
I freakin love when Gate (2015) uses code names from the Fate franchise...sooo dope :) soo satisfying watching the demise of Clementine as well.
I was expecting the guy who kept trash talking to anos voldigaod (misfit of demon king academy) . Where anos then kept killing and resurrecting him in the arena
That part I sure think is indeed way better then some on this list.
Saddler: turn to stone demon lord
Dabalo: UNO REVERSE BITCH
That made me laugh XD
Edit: Cheetu reminds me of Cheetos lol
Ngl I've watched Demon LORD about six times, the best part in most battle(at least early on) is that anybody does anything and Diablo just goes "haha uno reverse card sucker"
Honestly every scene you put in are satisfying 🫠
The Best Part from Sword Art Online is the part which actually makes the name. the rest is just weird in my opinion the rest of the seasons are always something about rape.. wtf happened to that good story. Yea it is still good but that one makes it worse for me.
I would also list Mo Fan vs Yu Ang from Quan Zhi Fashi, also known as Versatile Mage, it is a great fight and a great moment when the bad one is cocky and get smacked on the ground, what he deserves
I only think alicization is good but that is mostly war of the underworld when the other characters get a chance
What he did to that guy in ALO was satisfying to watch, turning real pain on to the max to really make him feel it
Sao was good when it was sao
Eh GGO is the best arch IMO. It actually came the closest to humanizing kirito and introduced the best character too
Welp I dropped the series right after it ended with Asuna learnt Mother Rosario cause personally I like GGO arc more cause it gives us a different vibes than ALO. It is such as shame it kind of bombed abruptly.
Envy's death in FMA is one of the best. My opinion that scene should be in the list as well
Pride works on a logarithmic scale: a person twice as prideful is four times as enjoyable to watch go down.
Well put
Most people don't really post sao I really loved how you recommended it
I find it satisfying seeing overly cocky getting absolutely destroyed especially when it's delivered by the main protagonist
A second part plz and i would love to see clayman from that time i got reincarnated as a slime getting beat up
And the king of falmuth kingdom also...😂😂
Clemantine's death always gives me goosebumps
The SAO part when you said you wanted him to suffer more just remember after kirito got the GM command he max his pain transfer so every pain he felt was close or more than painful leading to the guy's hair turning white because of metal damage
It was so real it literally messed him up in real life. But considering what he was about to do yes he still deserved worse.
@@tonyblake7569 Sheesh, how much worse? How much enough for you sadists?
1:05 'But got UNO reversed' caught me offguard😂
the fact that Mary and Yumeko became besties is awesome. I love anime logic...
All of these characters were me when I said to myself after finishing a few monster hunter titles saying to myself "Dark souls will be easy"
I also experienced their same fate.

I subscribed strictly because of the holy grail pun. Well played sir.
7:14 ahh poor dark lord sekke

Like all the OP characters in Anime, Gilgamesh also lost due to Plot Armor, seriously, he had all the time to use his final treasure but he waited for his hand to get cut first
I wouldn't say it's plot armor, since it's consistent with his behavior.
@@materialnothing2742 totally, thinking it is plot armor is one of the shittiest takes, _especially_ when Gilgamesh was totally against using Ea since the beginning. Even at the end.
He never thought of Shirou as an equal, this fully highlighted by him not using Merodach
if you think his GIGANTIC EGO is plot armor then i don't know if we watched the same show
There's no plot armor, the mongrel king tends to use his blades more than his brain (if he got some inside his skull of course), that's all how it is and you gotta accept it.
I like Gilgamesh when his still an king he really overtired himself for the sake of Uruk
The amount of satisfaction I received from this video is immeasurable
These are the scenes that I really love watching, so satisfying
He Only Molested Her. He Wanted to Rape Her but Didn't Succeed
But yes He Deserved EVERY Minute of That. Now if Only The Toad could get some Punishment too

5:20 Yeah loved this scene. Mary needed, not just to knock her of her high horse, but for her character development. Also is it me, or is almost every pompous character usually blonde?
3 things I've learned while watching anime:
1. The majority of fairies are assholes on principle
2. These old people are worried about nobody
3. When you see that Jojo art style EVERYONE should know this is not a drill, no it is not a game, but is in fact a set up
love how mans name is Animan.
