    Cool episode, love seeing your excitement as your field studies confirm your hypothesis/research

    Would love to see you on ancient apocalypse! I know the theories are different but the animators for the show do such a well job on imagining what the structures looked like in their prime, I’d love to see that done for these ancient structures

    Hi Geoff! Could the pointing shape of this higher rock be due to a melting of the stone? Will you show us the strange mound lying further south in next episodes? Looks like liked with that hill.

      Yo WS! Yes, the shaped apex of the stone is from the lightning discharges. Just dropped a Members Only episode with the last site from our September expedition, but there may be more in the works ;) stay tuned!

    Interesting, very interesting indeed, so what the Egyptians were trying to do,is to emulate a mountain or a volcano, and the bigger and taller the volcano is, the biiger the intensity of lightning hitting the soil. I wonder if the Egyptians, or Atlanteans, used this kind of technology to make the derserts green, all over the planet.

    " ...that's not petroglyphs, Academy of BS???"

    Do the places you've explored with stone circles or a tall stele at the top, still generate lightning today? Can it be tapped somehow locally?

    Can you imagine a bunch of white robed Japanese druids assembling this did they discover this old school transistor radio set already up and running 💨
    Your work is so important it makes these senators and congressmen look like chickens running around the coop. Best site on the internet 🎉
    The undiscovered country, or in this case, The Unknown Druid ❤

    Are you afraid of getting struck by lightning while you’re inside those stone circles?

    A book entitled "Petrograph Handbook" was written by Nobuhiro Yoshida and issued in 1994. In the book, a petrograph "(Celtic) God Bel and a Man with a Bow" of an Oshito Stone is introduced.

    Using GOOGLE Earth, You can easily make out structures around that 'bute'. There are stright line in triangle form and other things that makes it obvious, there's not just magnetic rocks there. Look it up

    Does lighting still strike them today? If not why? What time do they work exactly? My guess is under specific planetary/ moon alignments generating a sort of high tide on land PLUS a certain time of year and then the atmospheric conditions. How do we turn them back on? ha thanks man

    • @thelandofchem
      @thelandofchem  19 дней назад +5

      Yo Eric! Yes, it still happens today. The researchers describe it happening during one of their visits to the site. It's a common occurrence at most of these stone circle structures

    The Oshito Stons contains abundant magnetite (iron oxide) which is magnetic and electroconductive. The bare stones on the hill are, like lightning rods, ready to be struck by thunder lightenings.

    I would love to know a lidar scan under these hills. What would it reveal?
    If it ever was a "petroglyph" then it is heavily eroded, attesting to its age. But they don't look like anything man made.

    • @candui-7
      @candui-7 19 дней назад +2

      GPR would work, lidar is for surface feature recognition.

    I find your theories compelling - I wonder what you might make of this "temple mound" in prehistoric Ukraine: ruclips.net/video/qpLgTr5A_HA/видео.htmlsi=T-wKRWFS0gHJJkIL

      There was no mention of iron stones in relation to it and the "altar" was made of clay, but it has a curious 13-pronged structure in the center. And it's the highest "burial mound" around and had no grave.

    Magnificent, Magnetically, Monumental, Mountain.
    So, are the stones a naturally occurring outcrop that has been repositioned by humans ? ,or have the stones been moved to the top from somewhere else ?
    💡🪨⛈

    • @thelandofchem
      @thelandofchem  19 дней назад +2

      Thank you Omar! After some thorough research, the hill and stones themselves appear to be a natural formation. However, there is also evidence that the existing stones were moved and repositioned at the site. So they used what was already there and just reoriented some of them. Fascinating site and I was thrilled to get some corroboration of my hypothesis while we were actually there.
