James Stellin Walk Wellington

We walked from home to a memorial park dedicated to a local hero - World War II airman James Stellin.
The Northern Walkway, which starts at the Botanic Garden, passes through the park then continues north along the ridge to the Te Ahumairangi Hill tracks and the park lookout.
Seats at the lookout are a great spot to take in the stunning 180-degree views over the city to Wellington Harbour and Pencarrow Head, the Brooklyn wind turbine, the Zealandia Sanctuary gully, Wrights Hill and Makara Peak.
