Hi everyone! Here's my first attempt at drawing a dragon with Posca Pens! I really hope you enjoy watching the process! It feels great to be feeling more comfortable with using these pens now. Can't wait to try more ideas with them soon! Let me know what you think. And as always, feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions for future art videos I could try working on. Your feedback really helps me out. Thank you so much for the continued awesome support! I truly appreciate it. Hope you're having a great day! :) -Chris
You just made my day! This is just what I needed after the last few days being rough on me… Edit: I’d like to see you try drawing characters (beast/human/robot etc) only by the way they are described.
I have loved every single one of your dragon drawings! What do you enjoy drawing the most? Like people, animals or just random stuff? I love watching everyone of your videos your are an amazing artist! Wish I could draw like you!
Thank you for the amazing support! I love drawing dragons and other fantasy art. Along with that, some of my favourite projects have been fan art! When I work on fan art it combines my interests - video games/movies and drawing! :D Thank you again!!
I really enjoy your style! Very unique. I completely agree about how nice the water color and the Posca Pens complement each other. Can't wait to see what you've got planned for Inktober this year!
Thank you so much, Teresa!! :) Experimenting with these pens has been so fun! Looking forward to the challenge of Inktober! I can't believe it's already almost here!
I REALLY LOVE all your Draws!!! They are A M A Z I N G S!!! 💙 They will even be to be used as a tattoo for sure..even the skin will be thankfull that you used her to look so beatifull!!! Congratulations!!! Really, great Congratulations for ALL your skills.. I will never stop to love all your draws 🤩💙💙💙
I just want to say that a randomly stumbled across a video of yours, I think it was the first one you tried Posca Pens, a cyberpunk girl, and since then I have been watching your videos. I dont know jack about painting, and just started trying my luck with watercolor, but I love watching your videos. You are so helpful and careful with the tips and descriptions you make in the video, it's really soothing. Also, It's really heart warming reading the coments, mostly by other artists or people who like painting/drawing, and seeing you reply them with the utmost respect. I know we can't really know you from just your videos, but you really strike me as a friendly and good natured person. Keep doing what you're doing, man. I think it's fair to say that you and your resonate with a lot of us, and we are grateful for that. Be well!
Divine! Thanks, as always, for sharing, my friend. (And remember what I've told you in private--take care, no matter what.) You're a profound inspiration to many, many artists.
Every time I see one of your posca drawing I need to break out my own set and doodle something. Really cool dragon. I would love to see you draw more woodland animals
Thank you so much, Isaac! :) One thing I've been trying out recently is varying the shape and size of the scales around the dragon. I used to make the scales too uniform and I think changing the details up has hopefully made the drawings more interesting to look at. You can also consider how the size of the scales would change around the various moving areas (shoulders, jaw, etc). I'm glad you enjoy drawing them too! Wishing you lots of support with your artwork!!
I have a question of what type of masking fluid you use since the one I've had tends to rip the paper. The result for the dragon was absolutely fantastic. I've recently gotten into watercolors again and need to try and mix in some posca pens too. tysm
Thank you so much! Poscas are so fun. :D I'm using Daler Rowney watercolour masking fluid. I've had that problem before with a previous masking fluid I was using. It can happen a little bit with the one I'm using, depending on the paper I'm using it on. It's been working great on this Arches Hot Pressed 300gsm paper. Hope this helps!
I totally understand that feeling. I personally like to immerse myself in my other interests that usually feed into creative ideas. Where do you find inspiration? For me, I find ideas from gaming/reading/photography. If I'm frustrated with drawing, I'll take a step back and refresh with these other interests. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching the video!!
Thank you!! The initial sketch before working on this paper was incredibly messy haha! I didn't want to damage the surface of this watercolour paper by using the eraser too often, so once I was happy with the idea I transferred clean lines from the sketch. Also sketched this with a 2H and a 4H so they wouldn't smudge too much. Sometimes I like to sketch with erasable coloured pencils too, as they're less likely to smudge! Hope this is helpful!
Love this drawing. I know you enjoy drawing dragons and that's actually the videos that got me into following your channel. Katelyn McCaigue has been doing a 100 Dragon Challenge and I think that would be an awesome challenge for you to do
Awesome ! As usual ! This thing looks dope ! I love your work ! Also, just thought about that, but for a fan art video, why not trying to draw something from Subnautica : Below Zero ? It could be Marguerite's PRAWN, a leviathan, or even AL-AN ! I would realy love seeing that, but the last word belongs to you, I'm just throwing that idea here. Again, love your work, and see you soon !
Hey, been watching you for 5+ years... I loved how you improved all this way.... Also, can you try drawing something using every single art supplies you've got ? I mean it would be interesting...

Awesome!!ok for suggestions, what about half traditional and half digital art drawing.....it will be a fun project (atleast i think so lol).....looking forward for your next video 😄😄
when I first glanced at the thumbnail, I thought it was fatalis from monster hunter lol. I really like how you went about the outline. I'll have to try that myself sometime. perhaps for a fanart video, you could draw fatalis from monster hunter world iceborne when he's in his purple flame mode. if not that's fine, I enjoyed this video regardless.
i love drawing dragons and i love your videos on them but one thing i haven't seen you do is a video on you sketching process and what goes through your head when you design a dragon, i dont mean i full tutorial but just a dragon video that starts with a blank piece of paper and is a has bits that arent so sped up :)
Wow you are so good at art i tried drawing but i cant figure sruff🤔 out but you are so good you have given me hope. Mayby one day i can be as good as you
I love your art and always can't wait for a new video. On the one hand I wish there would be videos more often but on the other hand I think "quality before quantity" and so I am happy with everything you present to your audience.
I'm a fan of you - the posca pens... not so much. But variety is fine. I would love to see you draw small scenes - like the dragon interacting with another dragon? a person? Or a couple of elves riding wolves through the woods? Alita the Battle.angel? A scene from Lord of the Rings? Whatever you like.
i find with some paper the posca it rubs bits of the paper off. Do you recommend watercolour paper for posca pen drawings? or any other paper for posca pens?
For this project I used Arches Hot Pressed 300gsm watercolour paper. I think that could still happen with this paper if I used too much pressure, but I didn't have any issues with it this time. I've also tried Poscas on Daler Rowney and Strathmore mixed media paper and they worked quite well.

I learn so much from each of your videos. I’m colorblind, but your descriptions of how to use warm & cool tones (plus their names) helps me out a ton.

I love it 💓

Love the combination of the Posca and watercolours!
Shocking not to see red caped dragon tamer.
Haha that's true! They must be taking the day off.

Litarlly blown away! So awesome how you create such amazing art! Love every video that you post!
👌👌👌
i like how there are many different colors on the dragon
Sweet dragon!! I like the super clean bold lines!
