Same here. I've been a big fan since 2006 and their show at La Géode in Paris, France. I keep going back to that dark version of Roche Limit (Der Zyklus) they play at 54:00.
@@psyalphazeta Yeah... the loop on the bass and synths is mad efficient and addictive in a toxic way... like their whole set actually! I used to especially dig the clubbier version of Dyson Sphere that comes a few minutes earlier. And the finish with Tetrahymena just rolling off and away...
@@TheSachapike Awesome tracklist for sure. Have you seen them play live? Their gear hasn't changed in all those years. To Nhan usually plays on a Korg Triton and Gerald plays on a Korg Triton LE with the sampling board (it's an optional card on this early 2000s synth). That's how he triggers samples and enables/disables tracks with the first octave keys. The two switches and the joystick add to his armamentarium to distort beats. Overall, it's crazy to think that that's how they play their sets.
A performance of the more cerebral end of his spectrum. Also a great example of how keyboard skills will accelerate your expression output, AKA 'workflow'.
synthetic gestures afro american response to the fascist man machine technologist resurrected cave dweller absence of cohort makes this one of the most interesting of art masterpieces
He uses a 61-key Korg Triton LE with the sampling option (board) installed. He is therefore able to trigger samples especially with the first C2, C2#, D2 and D2# keys. He programmed the tracks using a MIDI device, I believe. He then can mute drums, pads and arpeggio tracks at will. Notice how he presses keys just before a bar ends: the corresponding track(s) become muted in the upcoming bar. The joystick is programmed to add modulation to certain tracks. To Nhan faces him still usually with a Korg Triton workstation (here it's a Roland) tethered in MIDI to Gerald's synth. She often adds pads when he lifts his head. I own a Korg TR (an upgraded Triton LE) and saw them live several times. Hope this helps.
Are they actually playing a note of this? I never saw his fingers press the keys, they just seem to dance a few inches over the top. I realize they can't play every single part live, but if all performers do is play back pre-sequenced work I think it's all a bit pointless.
It seems to me that he is muting/unmuting synth parts via the keys. Also he usually performs with his bandmate Kim Karli, who actually plays synth bits on her keyboard.
Lovely crowd! They sure enjoyed it.
WHO'S STILL LISTENING TO THAT GEM IN 2K24?
I dont think I will stop

Thanx kan3da. Great stuff!!!
a true musician
I would love for Dopplereffekt to follow me around in my day to day life and provide a soundtrack for my shenanigans
Imagine a stressful situation though or ur making a decision
Walkman would probably do the trick.
Was there, nice to hear it again ;)
Just after show at Katowice - Tauron Festival. Their live shows are so good man...
dude this shit's amazing. does anyone have a full tracklist?

KnowingWhatThe ButtonDoes keyboard sequences controlled by the mind
Hmmm...Kan3da do you know Track ID for the one after Dyson Sphere @ 27:43? That Track is magical.

Does anyone know what is the first track of the video (during the title) ?
Impressive up, I feel like I'm there.
incredible sunshine music.
Surely there should be some HQ bootleg of this performance lying around 😏
Anyone a track ID on the last song?
First track ID please?
+Antoine Bazart The second part of the first composition is 'Hyperelliptic Surfaces'.
I hope , that that is clear .

Any ideas on which synth he is using?
*****
thats all!
+zigular909 Korg Triton
what is he doing with it? looks like he's triggering some sequences
I think they're both playing with workstations, she does the keyboards and he does bass and drums in general (correct me if I'm wrong please)

pointless my arse, listen to something else maybe
Arpeggiator I guess
They work a lot with it, in fact lots of electronic tracks work with arp melodies and chords progressions, lots.

Dual Shaman That's right. He has the keyboard split so he can play parts higher up on the triton le while structuring the song on the lower end.
kim doesn't play in the band, do some research
This is the only music where I can get work done.
If you love these strange noises, then you should also try Klaus Schulze.
Dopplereffekt - Dyson Sphere :)
Track id and version at 40:47?
What's the track playing at 45:00?
1.00.03😘🙏💙🥳
Naitsabes nas ... Artist lanoitan aihpos ... Track .... Paradoxal tentation . Really underground .
Thanks for this :) pretty good audio quality!
Is there anyone who knows which version of Non Vanishing Harmonic Spinor is playing on 17:05? The album version is not rhythmic this much.
It's just the "live version". They play it with beat when they perform live.
That gig was amazing :D
Un genio grabando a otro genio!
Yes!
track ID at 46:30?!
Puto bom! Electro
dooooope!
merci
❤️
Wow. Nice. And in Sweden!!
That is just noise!
