@@nederlandsefrhd I think Thomas changed by the end of series 3. In JJ's episode he starts off as his usual "Look, more friends!" self, but when he finds out about Cook and Pandora, he (understandably) does a complete 180, trying to fight Cook and saying 'cunt' every 2 minutes
I never noticed it at the time it aired but re-watching it so many times later the way they shot this is pretty incredible. for almost 2 minutes it's an unbroken tracking shot going through the club, passing all our core characters. Must have been difficult to choreograph and stage especially when it's inside a club with a lot of extras. Considering this was 2009 - 2010 it's really impressive for a free to air teen drama made in Brittan. Their really was nothing else quite like Skins.

If anyone has any doubts, the songs are from the original UK edition, that is, they are not on Netflix due to copyright. Hope you like!
As well as being a 'Skins' fan, I also enjoy grand opera. In the final scene of Puccini's 'Tosca', the heroine commits suicide by jumping off the top level of Castel Sant Angelo in Rome. Most sopranos jump off in such a way that they would land feet first and probably survive the landing on the next level, which is only 20 feet doun, albeit with broken legs. In one production of the opera, Floria Tosca jumped off, only to briefly reappear a second or so later as a trampoline had been provided to break her fall. In this clip from 'Skins' series 4, Sophie shows how it should be done.
I also wanna point out how easy it was for her to do it like nobody grabbed her the ten seconds she was stood there before she fell they all thought it was some joke
Is it just me or did Sophia not commit s*****e? Yes, she did purposely jump off, but I always thought it was from the effects of the drugs she was taking. Maybe she started getting hallucinations and tried to fly, but died in the process. Whatever the reason, this scene is so hard to watch. What a way to open a new season
I remember being shocked at how much the hopelessness at the start of season 4 contrasted with the hope at the end of season 3
Yeah same
And also seeing how Thomas changed from his bubbly wholesome personality in season 3

I remember thinking she was going to be a new character and getting excited and then... well this happened
oop
me too :(
This is the best series opener out of all of them.
The cinematography for this scene was so good
wrong time but sophia is actually so pretty
I see how Sophia was looking at Naomi and Emily kissing.
1:47
this scene ate. stomach literally dropped when she jumped
THIS SCENE WAS AMAZING I REMEMBER I AUDIBLY GASPED WHEN SHE GOT UP ONTO THE RAILING AND LEANED FORWARD
Such a fucked up episode. Everything changed after this one. The introduction seemed so innocuous one moment and the next... We were all proven wrong.

i imagine it is the ghost of some skins intern sitting in an abandoned editing bay uploading these clips. ghost, can you confirm?
Must’ve taken some top notch fucking choreography to get that one long shot at the start
cook on the begin lmao

Damn, this was so sad, yet it drove like more than half of the entire plot for series 4, aside from the characters’ own lives.

One year late but yea she did commit su*c1d3. The series itself shows it and the creators said too.
Maybe this how Liam Payne went out. Kind of similar situation except his was a 3 story building
Did no one notice her bumping into Freddie?
Swear this was already uploaded years ago
Not by the official account.
@@mncdssctn9110 yes it was lmao it was uploaded 3 years ago “Sophia’s suicide”
this was gut wrenching
Someone tell me the song in the background 😭
I need this song name too
is it just me who thought she was michelle at first glance????
I did too aha
The girl is beautiful
Does anyone know the name of the girl that played Sophia? She’s so pretty.
Amberley Gridley. She used to have a channel here on RUclips but she might have deleted it.
@@legato4412 Thank you so much! I found her on Instagram, finally!! ❤️
2:54 naomi
So who gave her the drugs?
Cook had dealt it to Naomi, who ended up dealing to Sophia. You can see through their guilt throughout series 4.
Ah yes, the third upload of this scene. Anything Friday Night Dinner can do, Skins can do better apparently
This is actually natural selection...
Isn't broken heart nd drug selection?
