The reason why it works for Cook & Cassie is because their endings were so vague they were just open to beign a cliffhanger and there was still more to be told in their stories as opposed to the rest of the characters of Skins. The story of Gen 1 ended with Cassie in America who was being searched by Sid, where it's left ambigious if Sid found Cassie (as he was literally right outside where she was, and they were unawave of each others presence). But we learn through Pure that she travelled across America with a 'boy' and ended the relationship because it couldn't go further. Of course it was left open to the audience to interpret if it was Sid or another guy (maybe that selfless waiter in New York). And then we have Cook who was being haunted by the police and was left ambigious also, because we didn't know the outcome of his fight with Foster. Again, he implies that he killed 'someone' but not implying who it was (but it was clear it was Foster). It's because Cassie's & Cook's story was left so ambigious and unfinished which is why it made sense for their stories to be completed. The 6th season (Gen3‘s 2!“nd) is the best of the entire fucking show tbh. After that I would go with Series 2 from Gen1 and Series 3 (1st) of Gen2... the 4th series was the worst shit I had to watch..
Just seeing season's 3 to 4, how his teen hood was and he's just here....witnessing death and destruction. That harsh tempered innocence Cook had with JJ and Freddie becomes a wish after seeing the girl hang in the tree...Cook did not deserve this life....but by God...for Freddie, maybe it was worth it..

My question is what happened to louies boy that drowned the other guy to death? He picked Louie up from the parents house and I presume he was there for the murder of cook’s girlfriends parents but like where the fuck was he at the end there? Didn’t add up to me, considering Louie made him do all his dirty work but stilled loved Rise.
I was never really a fan of Skins in the first two seasons just saw it as a cringe teeny really messed up drama the first two seasons were just depressing asf. And the only good things I liked was Peter Capaldi, and Chris the rest of the other characters were nothing special. But boy when Jack O Connell came onto the scene as Cook he just stole the whole show like I absolutely loved his character didn't care about anyone else. Cook was my guy and I just forwarded it to every scene with him in it. After watching the first two seasons I just don't know didn't bother with it anymore because I thought it was still going to be the boring depressing drama. After I saw Jack O Connell in Starred Up and found out he was in Skins I just put on season 3 in a heartbeat and I absolutely loved it. When he was no longer in it I just skipped to the last two episodes of season 7 and bloody hell were they really good it really felt like a proper gangster drama. Now just imagine how good this show would've been if it was a full on gangster series with Cook as the main character the last two episodes in season 7 showed us what it could've been and it would've been a masterpiece. But I'm grateful we've got this though better than nothing Cook was easily the best character I can relate to him in almost every way cos that's exactly what I was like when I was a teenager,if only we got more of this and less of the teen drama crap but at least the other characters in season 3 and 4 weren't all cringey posh pussies like the ones in the first two seasons. Cook,JJ and Freddie were a proper fresh take and definitely the best group compared to the ones in the first two seasons. Tony was just a weirdo and freak that was a sad little boy who thought he was hard until Josh showed him that he wasn't and that he's just a little bitch,Sid was okay but he was a tramp and a pathetic simp probably killed himself when Cassie left him again in America. Jal and Michelle were annoying,Maxxie said was a little freak,Anwar was annoying asf too but Chris was good he was the only one I really liked. I love Peter Capaldi and he'll always be good in any role and he just had me laughing when he was shouting at Sid😂😂🤣. Aside from Chris the rest of the lads were just a bunch of pussies but Cook,Freddie and JJ had balls they were men and weren't afraid to fight they'd never take shit from anyone even JJs got more balls than the original characters in the first two seasons. Cook would never let someone like Josh do to him what he did to Tony and he wouldn't be that messed up to do what Tony did in the first place. Cook and his friends reminded me a lot of me and my boys in our teen years except we never let no girls/hoes come in between our bond up to the point where we fight over it Jack O Connell was the best thing that ever happened to Skins he was just something else.
Only thing thats slightly disappointing with the scene is the body harnis on emma looks to obvious her torso is yanked up it doesnt look like a proper hanging of the neck. Barring that its great

this is so sad omg, best scene even if it’s really sad
Honestly it was kinda cooks fault Emma died. If he had only taken away Charlie and just left Emma she would still be alive. And also if he didn’t have sex with Charlie out in the forest Emma might not have wandered of and could still have been alive.
So true!! Asshole behaviour of him
One of the best characters ever !
you always know shits about to get real when you hear "i'm cook"
Same age as cook/jack oconnel when this was out
Played a big part in our upbringing and style. Still rock the hair do and style
Skins is over....and Im mad about that
Can't believe this is a decade old. I was like 13 years old then, about to turn 24 in a few months. Time really does fly. Such a bittersweet ending to the series. Poor Emma, Cook doesn't look great in this tbh, treated her like shit really.
Oh my god, this episode was an amazing end, even though I wish skins never ended :(
episode?
@@erika8313 last episode of series 7
Amazing end? Charlie should have died instead of Emma
Cook is probably the best fighter in all the characters in skins
Seeing cook now makes me wonder what Freddie would think him?
Being on the run for avenging him and getting in situations such as this. To see cook go from a stupid kid with feelings just wanting to be loved . To a man with resolve and purpose. Such a great character
Did no one noticed that this fight was trying to give us closure on the Foster Chapter! But this time Cook didn‘t kill. He went all I‘m Cook on him But stopped. Foster wasnt so lucky
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
rhi p
Best moment of the whole Skins seasons😍😍😍
One of the best characters ever written
Is this it? Has the channel given us its last moment? :(
Allison Kraus thats from the 7th season :)
Flo Rian which was the final episode of skins and they’ve pretty much uploaded clips from each season for the past year now so wouldn’t be to far off to say its done
Allison Kraus oh god i hope not
Heather Street yeah mate it’s sadly finished
An incredible way to finish Skins! I wouldn’t mind a Skins special based around Cook.
See I thought skins from what I remembered would be like drinking, drugs, sex and school etc. Not with killing. Just a big change
Did you just completely miss the part where people die of overdose, are murdered, or killed in an accident which could have been avoided?
@@sparta1n117 yeah that's when I first saw it like years ago. I didn't Watch it because idk wasn't my thing like a decade so u can't blame me. Yes they could been avoided but wasn't
Best characters, chris, tony and cook
Sid too
Jack is terrific in that TV series "Godless." If you haven't seen it, please do.
Fantastic show, he’s got a new miniseries with Colin Farrell and Stephen graham coming out this year, based on a book, premise sounds really good, it’s called the north water. cant wait for it Jack is an incredible actor, his performance is the movie starred up is just as good as it gets, his movie 71 was also awesome.
4:55 Gotta love Cook.
emma deserved so much better
jack o'connell is absolutely brilliant, so is cook
Cook walks away....I need more. I need to know what happens to Cook. I need more
I would love to see Cook go I'm Cook on that Luke guy
Hahaha ou shit me to, imagine that fight
Cook with his burgundy red Harrington vs Luke with his burgundy red Coat! I noticed that Luke's friend, the guy that's always with Luke is friends with Cook in Eden Lake. In a parallel universe they were in the same gang. Luke just came in later haha
They couldn’t of ended it any better even tho I didn’t want it too
wait is this season seven?
Cook wasn’t begging, he was warning you mate. Go cook!
"What you think you could kill me? I'm fucking cook mate FUCKING COOOK!" badass af
i havent finished the episode before skins was taken off netflix, im happy its here
Jack O'Connell is one of the best actors around. You should watch trial by fire.
tony and cook are the best characters in the show. the only ones.
What, you think you could kill me? I'm fucking Cook, mate! FUCKING COOK!
These 3 episodes were powerful af!
Effie, cook & Cassie 3 episodes!!!
cook is one of my favourite characters in anything
Same
Cook is the biggest bell-end in the history of television
First Generation
They were goood
Second Generation
INCREDIBLE
And the last...
Just boring
The Last gen had the best 2nd season imo
Last gen was good, just... rewatch it years later lol
The 6th season (Gen3‘s 2!“nd) is the best of the entire fucking show tbh. After that I would go with Series 2 from Gen1 and Series 3 (1st) of Gen2... the 4th series was the worst shit I had to watch..
4:35 satisfactory button #1
4:42 satisfactory button #2
LOL! “Come on Charlie, twat him.” Goddamn Brits have the best expressions. “You giving me cheek yeah?”
Cook was the true skin character that was there for all
Just seeing season's 3 to 4, how his teen hood was and he's just here....witnessing death and destruction. That harsh tempered innocence Cook had with JJ and Freddie becomes a wish after seeing the girl hang in the tree...Cook did not deserve this life....but by God...for Freddie, maybe it was worth it..
Best youth show ever made.. so says Norway
I think the girl who played Charlie wasn’t really a good actor her face expressions and thinks I think she isn’t that good at acting
But she was hype as fuck. She was in like every freaking British show.. Fresh Meat, Lovesick and so on. I think she is good to look at but her acting is average at best
skins season seven is a masterpiece
Low key. Cook cassie and effy all deserved their own separate shows
This is the same show as the Russia episode from generation 1
Wow.... they finished posting on this channel. Makes me sad
He was my favorite character.
Jack o Connol is a phenomenal actor
4:32 Cook used Bite it’s very effective
He should play either an MCU character or DCEU
4:30 cook always biting people
2:48 "there's fine" like he's moving a couch haha
Only thing thats slightly disappointing with the scene is the body harnis on emma looks to obvious her torso is yanked up it doesnt look like a proper hanging of the neck. Barring that its great
I'm fuckin Cook, mate
FUCKIN COOOOOOOOK!!!!!
I know it’s fictional but in my head I hoped this would change Charlie for the better. I know it’s not my place to judge what is good or bad or better or worse though.
This scene always reminded me of the ending of Skyfall
The blood looks like the raspberry sauce you put on ice cream!
I wish there was a scene where he tries to kill or do something to the one who killed freddie, it would have been amazing
They actually did it and it's mencioned
alexandro Sanchez in which chapter?
@@fernandamaass6361 well, in rise i think, cook say thet he kill someone some time ago and it's perfect sense, because cook realize that Foster kill Freddy
In the end of vol 4 cook kills John Foster
Cookie...
Fucking love this show and moment . Cook came a long way .... James Fucking Cook
if he knew jujitsu this would have been alot cleaner lol
Haha yeah clearly Louie didn’t with that weak-ass choke🤣
I don’t know if it’s worthy of being called a choke lol
How did skins get so dark so quickly.
