    Since Mr. Abdurrohim didn't start by creating a new set of pattern, I think he is more specialized in sewing. For anyone who wants to see how a brand set of paper patterns are created, you can check out Kam Ma Leather Garments Workshop.

    I watched it, but you are an artist. We can't learn this art just by watching. For me, watching you make the pattern from newspaper was even more magical than watching you make the jacket. I guess you learned this from your parents and have been taught this art by real craftsmen. I hope you follow your dream, and find the work and life you deserve. Lots of respect and brotherly love to you my friend.

      Thank you for your support... Actually no one teach me directly, just self taught. Trial and error learning, when I am broke and no more workers I must do this by myself. Maybe just accidently to survive...

Why don't you start a website detailing the information you will need, and in all probability you can attract customers. Also upload videos of some finished products.

      Can you tell me why the prices differ so much on the leather jacket market? You have some for 800 dollars and some for 99 dollars for example. What is the difference? Is it the leather quality, the brand name? the amount of details like used effects or complex stitchings? I want to buy a Blauer USA leather jacket in sheepskin leather but i wonder why other jackets are only 99 or 150 for example.

    Agung you are truly inspiring. Such a beautiful jacket made almost in real time. One question please? What oil or product do you slide down the front side of the leather to stop it sticking? And why doesnt it make the lining greasy? You are a true craftsman. Thank you for sharing and BEAUTIFULLY FILMED TOO. We can actually see what you are doing. Exemplary. 💕

    • @volcanoleather
      @volcanoleather  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Bernie...
      I only used cooking oil to make the surface of leather slippery and make it easier for me to sew.
      I smeared it just little oil on the surface so doesn't make the lining greasy. 🙂

    23:40 euugghh, I once had a faulty sewing machine that had it's guiding anchor faulty which flipped the guard back when I pushed the leather at it like you do in that timestamp, and the guard rose over my finger which pulled it under the needle, and because it had a tough, wide leather needle attached to it, it went right through my finger and into the leather.
    Ever since then I've been extra careful to never push the fabric or leather in the sewing machine and to only pull or use a tool to push the fabric-
    I guess you have either never sewn into your finger or have sewn so many times that you have learned to instictively not do it :)

    does this process differ if someone wants a custom fit jacket to their own personal measurements?

    • @volcanoleather
      @volcanoleather  6 лет назад

      Same process, the point is in the measurement 🙂

  • @Hypegreene05
    @Hypegreene05 2 года назад

    Ok I didn't watch the whole video because I know how to cut and make a pattern. So my question is how did you get the sleeve in? You can't really ease stitch the sleeve cap on leather.

    • @volcanoleather
      @volcanoleather  2 года назад

      Thank you for asking me about this, please check at 37:00

      @@volcanoleather yeah I saw that. But I'm not seeing the process of getting the sleeve cap to fit into the arms eye without ease stitching.
