Since Mr. Abdurrohim didn't start by creating a new set of pattern, I think he is more specialized in sewing. For anyone who wants to see how a brand set of paper patterns are created, you can check out Kam Ma Leather Garments Workshop.
I watched it, but you are an artist. We can't learn this art just by watching. For me, watching you make the pattern from newspaper was even more magical than watching you make the jacket. I guess you learned this from your parents and have been taught this art by real craftsmen. I hope you follow your dream, and find the work and life you deserve. Lots of respect and brotherly love to you my friend.
Thank you for your support... Actually no one teach me directly, just self taught. Trial and error learning, when I am broke and no more workers I must do this by myself. Maybe just accidently to survive...
Awesome man! I'm also working with Leather, but I've never make an jacket, I've already buy the leather to make one, your skills have helped me a lot to understand how to start, greeting from Argentina, it would be awesome to be able to talk with you.
jonathan pujol thank you brother! 😊 I'd love to talk with you, we can share our knowledge about leathercraftmanship. you can contact me on my WhatsApp
Sir old jacket ko fitting kaise kare
I want to get into leather crafting. I like the music and you are extremely skilled. Inspiring.
Thank you Jeff
the music is imbuing the jacket with mystical powers
hahaha... it's indonesian traditional music from west java. sundanese music. I love that music coz make me relax and peaceful :)
I think this is new Indonesian music but with traditional instruments.. Am I right? Accent on 2 and 4, emphasis on the back-beat, minor-key pentatonic theme. Much like reggae.
that's right @Palo Mides, it seems you are very familiar with indonesian traditonal music. Thank you for the information :)
how come you dont back stitch to lock the stitch?
any idea what key/scale this song is in?
That was amazing to watch! You are truly talented! I absolutely love the style of that jacket. I am also self-taught with sewing and just recently became interested in sewing leather. I hope you make more videos... and play more of this music too! Peace to you...
Thank you Sagirah!
Thank you for watching and thank you for supporting me :)
You and all my subscribers are my energy to keep moving, keep smiling and keep sharing 🙂🙏
It is a pleasure to watch a master at work. You make it look so easy. Thank you!!!
You are welcome
Excellent craftsmanship!!!👏👏👏👏
Is it possible , that I take measurements and state the design specifications, including lining, fittings, etc, and you send the jacket by post? Why don't you start a website detailing the information you will need, and in all probability you can attract customers. Also upload videos of some finished products.
Absolutely fascinating! I will never look at a leather jacket the same way again! You are an artist, sir ... well done!!
What is your pricing for your craftsmanship?!
Thank you... it's about $130-$170 (it all depends on the size and the model of the jacket)
Can you tell me why the prices differ so much on the leather jacket market? You have some for 800 dollars and some for 99 dollars for example. What is the difference? Is it the leather quality, the brand name? the amount of details like used effects or complex stitchings? I want to buy a Blauer USA leather jacket in sheepskin leather but i wonder why other jackets are only 99 or 150 for example.
Dan barb it's the grain of leather and craftsmanship . 3 different categories in leather. Top Grain leather is what you usually see in high designer clothing, those clothes will last for at least your whole life and possibly your grandchilds life.
r so stupid haha
Beautiful work! You are a true artist!
Wonderful job. You have to respect an artisan who shows how its all done. Everyone who saw this knows you have great skill.
Nathan Duncan thank you
Thank u so much you are so helpful, very responsive to my emails in requesting more info on glue used in a timely manner. You are so talented. Thanks again.
You're very welcome
Hey man, im only 16 and I want to start making my own cloths and you helped my mind shift 110% thank you so much. If I get far and start a real business and if I have the money, I will contact you and we can partner because I see you have great skill and an amazing talent to inspire and craft. Job well done my friend! :)
Thank you bro, I like your spirit and I'd love to be your partner :)
@@volcanoleather My pleasure man! :)
Did you do it?
You are a masterful craftsman. Thank you for the all the information shared in the video. I thought your pattern drafting technique was as interesting as the actual garment construction.
Do you use a 'walking foot' presser foot for your machine or just use an industrial sewing machine?
thank you very much,
for sewing the leather I only use my vintage sewing machine :)
I had no idea that a leather jacket use that much glue . Great work!
Thank you 🙂🙏
Good question
Hello, I see it is really good work. I have a question how much leather did you used, to make a jacket?:)
Usually I use 5 sheets of leather sheep
Good job. You make it look so easy.
thank you my friend :)
Outstanding work!
Thank you my friend :)
Very helpful video--thank you for making it!
Captain Mercy you are welcome
unbeatable art. wonderful
Thank you my friend :)
The best video on tailoring a leather jacket. Little is shown how to sew a sleeve. Do another video how to sew different things from the skin, you are very good at it. Good luck.null
Liliya Kapitonova OK.. thank you.. wait for my next video..
amazing craftsmanship. good job.
Umair Khattak thank you
This music gets played everywhere in Bali, I miss Bali so much .
Actually that's not Balinese music but Sundanese music from West Java. The both music are Gamelan's music and the sounds are similar.
And I think Bali miss you too 😁
Or try visit to West Java we are very welcome 😃
Really Good job, nice music and thank you for share your knowlegde for everyone. Seeing you from Argentina.
Nice to meet you Herman 😊
Muito obrigado aprendi muito você é muito bacana tudo de bom pra você
obrigado por assistir 🙂🙏
This was such an amazing video. I'm glad I watched it before sewing my leather. I didn't realize how little I knew about the techniques. What is that powder stuff you apply on the leather with the blade?
That's rubber latex adhesive for glue the leather
GOOD JOB.BEAUTIFUL AND ELEGANT .HOPE ONE DAY I WILL BUY ONE FROM YOU. BRAVO,BRAVO AND BRAVO. THANKS
Thank you... I'll wait for your order 😍
What great demo. You did such an awesome job. Is it possible I could buy some patterns off you. I would like to attempt making my own jacket. If I used a regular sewing pattern would I have to cut the leather past past the seam allowance or just follow the pattern.
Hi Ellie, thank you for watching my video 🙂
Sure I'd love to make some patterns for you. Usually I make pattern exactly the same as measurement, so to cut the leather the seam allowance (the space about 1centimeter).
For more information please message me to my WhatsApp or email.
At first I'm going Paper Patterns??? Turned out Beautiful, great job.
Keren abis Bro. Respek banget gue. Terusin Bro.
Makasih mas bro... Tolong support nya, subscribe yach... 😉🙏
Agung you are truly inspiring. Such a beautiful jacket made almost in real time. One question please? What oil or product do you slide down the front side of the leather to stop it sticking? And why doesnt it make the lining greasy? You are a true craftsman. Thank you for sharing and BEAUTIFULLY FILMED TOO. We can actually see what you are doing. Exemplary. 💕
Thanks Bernie...
I only used cooking oil to make the surface of leather slippery and make it easier for me to sew.
I smeared it just little oil on the surface so doesn't make the lining greasy. 🙂
@@volcanoleather that's excellent. Thanks. I have pulled a leather coat apart and am trying to make myself a jacket. So hard. Coat UK size 20 but my size is 10-12. I learned so much from you but cant buy the double sided tape anywhere. All sold out in uk. Difficult to find one that wont gum up my needle.
How would you know? 🤯
I like the work you have done a very good job.
Thank you 😁🙏
@@volcanoleather I notice you putting glue then you put something else was that water to keep it tacky for sewing it.
Amazing I love your work man this is AWESOME
Thank you Patricia 😊
Very good job. Very helpfull
Thank you ☺🙏
good work and you are a very good teacher i learned a lot from u i hope you find a good job and be famous one day but dont stop your videoes
Aamiin... thank you..
Wow....u r awesome man
thank you ukhti... :)
I really enjoyed watching you make the pattern and the amazing jacket. I plan to make my own leather jacket so am keen to gain as much knowledge before I start. You use sticky tape on some seams, does your needle get sticky? Or do you have to keep changing it? You are very talented thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your process. It’s clear you are a skillful master! Is your machine treadle or electric?
Thank you 🙏
I installed electric motor for my old machine 😁
Beautiful in Pakistan so nice work

Bravoooo!!!!My son wants one now.
Very nice video sir... great work. please 🥺 teach me ..
With my pleasure 😉
I've gotta say this is one of the greatest RUclips videos I have seen. I'm in the market for a leather jacket, I have a model and brand that I'd like, my only problem is I cant get the jacket from that company cause they do not make it in my size. I'm 5,7 135lbs, and the jackets small on their website is a 42 on the chest, which is too big. Do you think you could help me? The jacket is a Wilson Finn leather rider jacket with thinsulate lining.
Great video🤘
Thank you for watching my video 🙂
To make a leather jacket that you like I have to see the design style of the jacket, could you send me the link or picture of the jacket?
Then send it to my WhatsApp or email
Wow, very talented!
Thank you 🙂
Lovely work. Is there much ease in the sleeve cap? I note the cap is relatively flat which must help when you set the sleeve into the armscye??
Yes I made it more flat for making it easier when I set the sleeve into the armscye. And in my opinion it'll comfortable movement for arms.
Güzel iş çıkardın Abdürrahim kardeşim.
Teşekkürler 🙂🙏
Mark kardeşim
loved musc!! :) and the work you've done... great!

mrspepper1972 thank you
Is that a Singer 15 sewing machine that you are using?
absolutely good job. i loved it. can u tell me what did u use in the end to clean the jacket ? and what glue have u used in your video to stick the jacket? i have only these two doubts. but after in the end its a very nice process and very satisfying video to watch... thankyou.
behind the leather I used rubber latex adhesive and on surface I used double tape
To clean the jacket I used some leather care product
The real indonesian craftmen , thank you kang give us tips and trick 🙏
Thank you bro... Subscribe donk... 🙂🙏
Wow! Very impressive. 😊

Beautifully done... and i love the music... what are the names of the songs, please... peace be unto you.
Thank you... About the song it's sundanes traditional music, we call "degung". Try to search degung on RUclips so you can find many song of this genre
I LOVE YOU!!!! Peace and ABUNDANCE BE unto YOU, BROTHER!!
khajir Johns-El thank you
You're welcome! thanks to you I now understand how leather jackets are made. I analyzed this video over ten times by now.
23:40 euugghh, I once had a faulty sewing machine that had it's guiding anchor faulty which flipped the guard back when I pushed the leather at it like you do in that timestamp, and the guard rose over my finger which pulled it under the needle, and because it had a tough, wide leather needle attached to it, it went right through my finger and into the leather.
Ever since then I've been extra careful to never push the fabric or leather in the sewing machine and to only pull or use a tool to push the fabric-
I guess you have either never sewn into your finger or have sewn so many times that you have learned to instictively not do it :)
Stormlord thank you for your advice.. I will be more carrefully.
Hi. I am happy I watched your video. I have brought several use leather jackets from the theft store and I would like to remake them over into a modern jacket or coat. Can you tell me how to do this? I already brought a simple coat pattern.
Hi... Thank you for watching, you want to modified old leather jacket? Or make a new coat from few jackets? First... Of course the style it shouldn't be too different between the coat you want with the jackets that you've bought
great job!!! waiting for next video
thank you..
Nice work...
nicely done
Thank you :)
great job
Thanks brother 😊🙏
Just watching this. Did you use a leather needle? Noticed you are using a regular sewing machine
I use regular needle too, number/size 18 for 0,7mm leather thickness and number/size 21 for thicker leather
Which sewing machine, needle, thread do you use? Nice jacket...you should wear it at end to show the fit.
Only a vintage sewing machine but already modified for leather, nice suggest but the jacket is for women and someone ordered me... 🙂
very nice jacket
Thank you 😊
Can u mention thickness of this leather? And what type of finished leather it is, semi aniline or pigmented?
Those are 0,7milimeters thickness and I used full grain pigmented sheepskin
I hope you teach us how to formulate this pattern
Wonderful. Good Craftsmanship. I have few questions-
1-What was the size of this jacket ? And how much DC you used for this jacket?
2- What would be the total cost for customization ?
for Indonesian standar size.. it's L.
The total cost is about $130-$170
alus euy, tenar.
Beautiful leather jacket, what other models you make?

Nice maker jacket
Thank you 😊
what kinda sewing machine you need for something like this..? I always dreamed of designing and making leather jackets..
aliasghar907 I used a vintage sewing machine..
which one? I have a 1930 Singer 66....yours looks very similar.
@@cmurphystpete I have Singer 15K also looks the same 🤗. I renovated it Just to sew leather.
Excellent
Thank you 😁
What newspaper is that? Will any newspaper do or do we have to use that one?
Lol... Any newspaper can be used, I used old newspaper bcoz cheap to be economical. Thank you for your question 😁
Great video 👍
Thank you very much :)
Fantástico!
What type of leather are u using I want to try making myself a jacket but I dont know where to buy leather
I used full grain leather sheepskin in this video. Try to check on marketplace many tanneries sell their leather online.
Only 45 min... Make this learther jacket
Of course not, already edited this video. Made it shortened.
does this process differ if someone wants a custom fit jacket to their own personal measurements?
Same process, the point is in the measurement 🙂
Ok I didn't watch the whole video because I know how to cut and make a pattern. So my question is how did you get the sleeve in? You can't really ease stitch the sleeve cap on leather.
Thank you for asking me about this, please check at 37:00
@@volcanoleather yeah I saw that. But I'm not seeing the process of getting the sleeve cap to fit into the arms eye without ease stitching.
My two favorite things were that it took 43 goddamn minutes and it was a grown ass man wearing a red jacket seriously though great talent i could never make this also it reminds me of a guy dressed like the joker walking into a gunshow i went to
I really dont say this in a mean way great talent alot of skill like are you a veteran of burlington coat factory or something
Bro agar jacket fat jaaye to use kaise repair kare plz batao
Could you make a video showing how to take measurements and what measurements to take in order to make a pattern for a coat?
Ok I'll try, but if you want I can send you from WhatsApp. Because to post on RUclips I need time and more adjustments
the bgm for the Altruist Cult..xD
