This man is an extremely big nuisance in Sectir 51A, Chandigarh and has in routine been calling loudly Galis (calling names) of the worst order which no human being would tolerate; rather no society would accept. ਗੰਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੰਦੀਆਂ ਗਾਲੀਆਂ ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ. Many times residents of the area have gone to police station but the PS Incharge also shows his/her desperation to handle this man due to his links with higher ups in Police/Legal hierarchy. One can hear him calling names to his neighbourers or anyone who even looks towards stray dogs kept by him (about 5-10 dogs, who regularly bite elderly and children).
This imposter must be handled as per law and be not allowed to go scotfree under the influence from anyone from Police/Legal fraternity.
We salute the policeman who have dated to apprehend this HELL of a CROOK.

You must show your driving license to the traffic police if you are asked as per section 130 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. But you have the right to refuse to hand it over to the traffic cop if you do not want to.

@@isaakhan4093 Show it on your phone either through digilocker app or parivahan app, don't take out physical copy because cops can try to take it from you, which is wrong but then this how most Indian cops really are especially if there are more than one when they stop u. Also don't pay the fine , say you will pay online or if u feel its unfair then u will contest it on court, you don't have to pay the fine on the spot.
Show this type of behavior in other countries. They will show what is power of law.

I live in chandigarh. It’s my hometown. Here we have CCTV’s everywhere on the roads. Traffic policemen and other policemen are very helpful. Once the number plate of my bike was broken, they stopped and politely said ki bache number plate change karwa lena apni nahi toh chalaan kat sakta hai. Galti isi bandy ki hai. Jo akad raha hai.

Section 130(1) of the Motor Vehicle Act states that 'any police officer' can ask for the license. This guy is overeducated which is detrimental for the society at the moment. License should be produced when demanded for a reasonable cause (which in this case was: number plate not visible).

You must stop when police ask you to else they will not be able to protect you from unsocial elements. Also police cannot stop you if there is nothing wrong with vehicle visibly. In this case it was.
Only an inspector can ask for a license or paper. If there is a magistrate order of checking then police can stop any vehicle.
System work is to arrest any person who is doing unlawful activity or disobeying law and put that accused person to the court within 24 hours..Police is not legitimate for any further action against that person...it is the responsibility of the court and order the police personnel to further investigate as I.O and make case dairy on that First information Report,record statement,seizure list,chargesheet n..that is all...there are many other basic norms...it is all present in any platform...u just have to make inquiry.
