The 2018-19 400 Thunder season opener, the Nitro Up North at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip in Darwin continues with the nitro burning monsters of Top Bike and Top Fuel.
Chris Matheson is out to defend his Top Bike crown, having wrapped up a fifth consecutive title at the 51st Winternationals in June. But Western Australian Jay Upton is hoping to break that streak aboard his Nitro Knight machine.
And Top Fuel returns for its annual exhibition match races, featuring newly crowned champion, Kelly Bettes and the Chemical Warfare team of Anthony Begley.
