  • French photojournalist Raymond Depardon was sent to Glasgow in 1980 to document the lives of its residents, both rich and poor. His thousands of photographs remained unpublished until 2016, shedding light on a side of Scotland rarely seen. Instead of focusing on the affluent areas, Depardon captured the deprived districts of Govan, Maryhill, the Gorbals, and Calton, showcasing the city's struggle with deindustrialization and depopulation.
