Tis so sweet, to kiss on the cheek my sweetheart. Awww, you two, I love it when two people who adore each other aren't afraid to smootch a little. This video was so much fun. I went on a knee-killer hike, out to dinner and lunch at a beautiful lake with you. I missed the pups. But, I totally get why you left them safe and sound in the RV. That food looked divine. Many years ago I had my photo taken under the antler arch. Fun times good memories thanks to you two. Can't wait till I see the mischief that Scout gets into. Stay safe, stay blessed. Thanks for reading. See you again next week. 😁😁❤❤🌻🌻
Aww thank you!! 🤗💓🙂 So glad you liked this episode, it was a fun week! So glad you could come along with us! This might be one of the only episodes without the pups in it, they had a lot of naps that week. haha! The antler arch was so cool! Oh yes... Scout always keeping us on our toes! 😆 She's lucky she's so cute! -Katelyn
Beautiful color of the lake. Grand Teton is just amazing to admire. Going down a hike is more complicated than going up the hike. I remember I did a 14 mile hike, because I am crazy, and coming back I was looking down at my feet the most.
Hahaha, you're not crazy! We've done 11-13 mile hikes, and you're right (particularly for Katelyn since her knee can get sore after long hikes) downhills can be really a challenge! We did a super long hike INTO the Grand Canyon, and that seemed pretty perfect. Downhill FIRST, then uphill to finish. 👍 -Howard
Grand Teton National Park was so beautiful, the water and the mountains..omg...just breathtaking. I felt for the both of you so much during that hike. But please know, both of you did amazing, better than I would of,for sure. Be proud!! Thankyou for the amazing and wonderful sites, that you visit and hike too. Stay safe, and see you soon, all rested up.
My favourite place in the world 🌎 Grand Teton. We stayed in the park with a Outfitter who had Chuckwagons and Camping 🏕 for 4 days. Jackson Hole was our starting point. I will never forget that scenery. Trip across the country from Canada 🇨🇦 and back home.
One of my favorite places is Teton. We also used the Gypsy App for GTNP and YNP and loved it. We learned a ton about the land , history and wildlife and it was pretty cheap! Loved joining you on your travels.
Hi Lori! So many people have echoed your sentiment, it's a well loved place! So glad you all enjoyed Gypsy Guide too, we find them to be funny and informative. We've learned things we never would have known otherwise! Thanks so much for watching our videos! -Katelyn
Oh how I love Monday mornings. What an amazing adventure you two went on ( again). Howard, at 40 ( giggle) you really held your own on the climb. You deserve a medal. Kaitlyn, I recognised myself in you. Going down is harder than going up. That was my experience in France last year. I want to thank you both for the magnificent and majestic sights you've shared. Mind blowing. I can only imagine what the visions in reality were like. I was jealous at your restaurant experience. Ours have been closed since mid October. Take aways only. Stay safe and keep smiling. ❤️👍🎥🌷🙋♀️🙏ps. I shared this episode on my FB page. A must to share.
Haha, Howard is slowing down in his old age. 😂😉 Kidding. Going down definitely took its toll on my hips and knees. OUCH! But still so glad we conquered it! Thanks so much for sharing the episode, that means a lot!! We always appreciate your support, Oma! ❤
@@NewstateNomads ah yes, it would have always been a 'missed opportunity' had you not persevered. Take good care of those joints, believe me ( I know) they do wear after a while and there is nothing more annoying and frustrating than having to cut short challenges. ❤️❤️
My husband and I loved the Tetons. We stayed at Jackson Lake Lodge, which had spectacular views. We did a similar hike that you did, but ours was to Inspiration Point around Jenny Lake and thought we were going to need to be airlifted down! 😂 Totally worth it, though!
Haha, I totally understand that feeling! If I could have been carried down that mountain, I would have jumped at the offer 😂 So cool that you got to stay at the lodge, such a beautiful park! -Katelyn
Spoiler alert/foreshadowing to a future episode... we should have done that in Utah. 😂❄ Luckily the snow was just on the mountains in the Tetons. 😍 -Katelyn
The Tetons are cool to see from either side, west or east. About two years ago I watched a couple hike up to the highest peak on RUclips, what a hike that was to watch. We knew who was draging their feet coming back down:)
That was a fun video! 😃 We were at the Grand Tetons a little after y'all. We saw bears and moose. That was awesome that y'all got to see one crossing the road! 😍
I love the Tetons....they are so beautiful and majestic! That hike was a difficult one...good for you for completing it and taking us along. Love the video. Have a great week.
Hi Dolly! 👋 They really are... we were blown away. Thank you! It was a challenging one for sure. We're glad we did it though! And have since recovered! Thanks for watching, you have a great week too! -Katelyn
Howard, when I was in my 40s I had issues like you had with altitudes over 6,000 ft. When I took my kids skiing, I got a terrible headaches and shortness of breath just bringing our lunch from the car to the lodge. I later found out my resting heart rate was a little high and my heart rate with exercise was very high. I was put on a beta blocker and felt so much better. I haven't been up to the mountains since I started my medicine, but I suspect it's much better now. I must ad that I am very much a couch potato compared to you.
It was beautiful! Yeah, it can definitely be a struggle. We thought it would be a little easier for us since we spent the entire summer at pretty high elevation, but no such luck. 😄 -Katelyn
Always a treat to travel with you! Thank you! Love traveling (hotels lol) but my mind has always gone to the "dark side" w/concerns of rv break in/security or what would I do if a weirdo tried approaching rv..any thoughts on this for security tips or alerts that y'all look for personal safety?
Debbie thanks as always for watching, so glad you're on the journey with us! Safety is always on our minds, happy to say we haven't had any issues outside of bears running into the RV (ha!). We are vigilant about always locking our doors, do feel good about how high the windows are on the RV (you would need a ladder or someone to boost you up in order to get through our coach windows). We don't discuss publicly everything we do but feel we have measures in place to help us feel safe. Because of work, we have cell reception at all our campsites, so if we needed to call for help, that's always an option as well. 👍❤️ -Howard
Thanks , Ed! We use a service for all music called Epidemic Sound. There are several tracks in this episode, do you know which part of the video the one you liked was?

Thanks so much, it's a beautiful park! They were hanging out back at home in the RV. Dogs aren't allowed on trails in National Parks, so they get to relax while we do the hard work. 😂 -Katelyn
@@NewstateNomads A few of the National Parks DO allow dogs on a good bit of the trails, like Acadia, Shenandoah, Cuyahoga; most of them definitely don’t though. I’m happy you saw the Tetons with and without the snow! It’s a favorite thing of mine! Helluva hike too! Great job! We will give that one a try someday. Happy trails.
Headline is misleading. There's no free camping in Grand Teton National Park. Did y'all have a permit to film? If you're making money by filming in a national park, you have to have a permit. Not trying to be mean, but as a park employee, I wanted to educate you before you get in trouble.
Melinda, thanks so much for watching, and truly appreciate all the feedback. Free camping is in regards to the close by camping as shown in the video. We never claim it to be inside the park, but will update the information in the description. Like many others, we were made aware of the filming permit rule when a very successful RUclips channel was recently hit with a large fine for not having proper permits. This was filmed months ago before that story broke, and we also are not yet generating profit from our RUclips channel. We have decided to error on the side of caution, though, and have not filmed in a park since learning of the rule.
