The front USB-C is a 1080p wired output with 2 way OS control (Pyxis monitor only). The SDI/BNC signal out of the back of the camera, to record up to 4K on the VA in ProRes or BRAW. The USB-C on the back of the camera is up to 6K wired data output for SSD recording, and a wired output for "Cell Phone to Cloud 1080p Proxies or Streaming" (depends on 'phone) with free app and storage. Over-all, there is also a iPhone and Android Remote "Camera Control" app via Bluetooth - $17 (OS menu only, no visuals). The LAN is the fastest transfer method (no expensive CFexpressB Card Reader needed). Laptop, Network Scan, Browser, Copy and Paste. $5 CAT cable. LAN Cloud and Livestream too.
Nice unboxing. Side screen is awesome, for menu or false colours. Still you all need extra monitor, I used a n my rig subs to HDMI cable to hook up monitor with transmission. Shoulder mount RIG. 😊
Yeah even when I had it on the car rig I took off the top handle and monitor to keep it more compact and I could still see the image from the side screen which was kinda nice
@ haha nice. Of course we are talking about situations when it works to use side monitor for preview, but it doesn’t mean that it’s main purpose. Let’s say it out loud: this monitor’s main purpose is for menu… but can by useful for other purposes in some circumstances. Period. Hehe
Is B&H Photo Video congested or what? I ordered my Pyxis (L mount) as the kit with the Irix 21 and 24mm lenses and it's on backorder. How are all these creators getting this camera? Were you also on backorder when you placed your order?
They are showing as in stock at B&H now so I think they are starting to fulfill orders. I got mine direct from Blackmagic which is how a few of us are getting them (early) first batch.
Pls how is the L mount to EF adapter with variable ND filter working with focusing. I am trying to see if I can get the PL mount and use the variable ND filter adapter, but I was told it dose not focus properly.
For one. The Pyxis doesn’t have continuous autofocus. So it’s just gonna be a spot focus when you hit the focus button. So it’s really not useful for that. But I did try it on the s5iix which does have continuous autofocus and it was ok. I tried it with just the canon nifty fifty 1.8
I've had the Pyxis for a month. One thing was bothering me-the lack of a tally light on the camera. And now you’ve just taught me that the small LED on the power button also serves as a tally light! 😭
@@EldenEleSinema I was using V mount on most of the shoot. But the one BP-U65 I have is this one: a.co/d/1DHJHDy in terms of lowlight I haven't done a lot of tests but it its pretty average for a Fullframe camera. If you've seen anything from a Pocket 6k FF it's the exact same.
@ I want one but I’m sticking with the finicky bmpcc og as I’m a beginner still learning colour grading, editing, ect. I’m also hoping the og’s limitations help me to learn the fundamentals without all the fluff so to speak. Treating it like a film camera with those crazy large cDNG files.
@@colinthomas2525we all had to start some where. At least you can shoot raw and get a feel for what it’s like to colour grade that. But it’s crazy how much of a camera you get with the Pyxis for the price.
Hey man, you’ll want to check out the SDI protocol. Powering it on with cable already in will ruin your SDI input.
Yeah it was the same procedure as with the Komodo
Loving my Pyxis so far! Excited to see what you create with this thing!
Nice one Lee! 🙌 Can't wait to get my Pyxis sent out! 🤤
Nice! its a whole lot of camera for the price. It's kind of insane tbh. I know it's quirky but for what I shoot its perfect.
Really appreciate your vids and this especially!!! Good stuff!

@ exactly, and funny enough, while shooting interviews… monitor on side of the camera… priceless 🤪 hahah

Was gonna get this but bought the FX3 instead.
Great Video. You share studio license If you don’t need?

I try to find samsung s21 camera photography but I've never find it on your RUclips channel😢
I’ve never tried an S21

Yeah there should be one on the front, so weird that there isn’t one.
backdrop reminding me of GMM. love it
Thinking one to buy. Looking forward to see your opinion
Nice! So far I've only used it on a full day shoot but the footage looks amazing and the camera performed flawless for 12hrs straight.
@ Perfect.what battery? Low light performance?

Very handsome camera 🙂I would love to see some footage from your hands. Anyone you shared the license? I am candidate to get it😅
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to see what you do with it.
Thanks for watching. Yeah I shot one big production with it so far and it ran flawless and footage looks amazing.
