- 2019 model. Started to open up right before I had to sell it. Most inspiring guitar I’ve ever played. I enjoyed my time with my dream guitar. Got to get our new house built. I bought it new and made every penny I paid back selling it used. I will definitely keep my eyes open for another one of these. The man I sold it to was a serious bluegrass player and his eyes lit up when he started digging in. It has a good home. 😭 these guitars are the real deal. Thermo cured tops open up and the frequencies balance out. At least on martins. The bass helps with that I’m sure.
Something refreshing and absolute about owning the best offering of the “holy grail” model from Martin but… for your dollar. I would encourage everyone to check out Jimmy Edmonds Guitars made and touched by one man only, Jimmy. I think he personally breast feeds each one of his guitars to maturity. Truly exceptional craftsmanship at an insanely reasonable price currently.

I read where you had to sell it. I had to let go of a Gibson Advanced Jumbo a few years ago that just broke my heart. The AJ is big and boomy like that Martin is. Totally different from other Gibsons. It was the loudest most powerful acoustic guitar I’ve ever had and I’ve had quite a few ( mostly D28 models). But that Gibson was a absolute monster guitar. You ever get a chance to play a Advanced Jumbo definitely do it. But it sucks when you gotta let go of a special guitar like that

Very solid guitars. Feather light and you can feel the guitar through your hands, arms, and torso. They don’t mic like a d-18 but feels better in your hands
