Red & The King have alway's been that way, Richard talked to me at length when I was 9yrs old! I'm 61 now & I'll never forget how Richard Petty made time to talk to me 🙏
I sure hope that these drivers know beyond of a shadow of a doubt what a huge honor it is to greet and shake these legends hands. If I was a driver, I would invite each and everyone of them and their families out to dinner and just answer question after question and listen to their stories and in hopes that I could create some of my own.
So cool to see all the old Legend's on that stage, Ol' Red Farmer is a National Treasure! The coolest for me, was seeing Bobby Allison & Richard Petty sitting next to each other, especially since 51yrs ago those two Legendary Wheelmen were doing their Level Cross best to park the other one in the grandstands at North Wilkesboro Speedway!! 😂👍
Great upload but what if Dale Earnhardt Sr Davey Allison Junior Johnson Neil Bonnett J D McDuffie Alan Kuwicki David Pearson and other drivers who have passed away could have been there?also was Harry Gant there?and was sad that Cale Yarborough could not be there hope he is dolng better. Darlington is Cales home track also i left out Buddy Baker and Benny Parsons and was Phil Parsons there ? And Nascar is different from what it used to be but i feel Darlington keeps the old feel of Nascar alive have a great week and take care.
I'm not sure why some of the other living and healthy legends weren't there. I do know that DW will be at North Wilkesboro and I'm pretty sure Phil Parson will be at NWS. I hope to see Harry Gant there too since it's right up the road from his house. And what we all wouldn't give to have those legends back from the other side! Thanks for commenting and watching!!!!
I bet half of those guys were saying damn I must be old cause I raced with your daddy! ( Harrison burton, chase Elliot, Ryan blaney, Corey lajoie)…. I wish Dave would have had better success in the cup series to be top 75 like the other guys dads
@@TanDawg58 They were booing him well before that. Also you boo Nascar in that situation not him. He didn't have anything to do with that. NASCAR just has RACIST fans and its been known for years. That's why they hate Bubba and any other black driver that comes in the sport. Hell one year they booed Bill Lester in a truck race and he was one of the nicest guys around. Then Sunday they get on Bubba's radio and tell him to "Go back where he came from". That's a racist persons goto statement.

Red Farmer loved every minute of this. The King making sure to talk to all the kids was awesome also.

Red Farmer seemed so glad, heartwarming
Red farmer is a gem. He genuinely took an interest in every driver as they walked by. He’s a true ambassador for all of motorsports.
And to think Chase Elliot grew up in the garage with A LOT of those drivers!!!
He really did. I was going thru file video the other day and found a shot of him walking with Bill down the pit lane at Daytona in 2001.
Bill bowing down to Blaney when they shook hands was funny

Thank you so much for sharing this!! It’s so interesting to see.
I’m in my early 30s and been a fan of Nascar as long as I can remember… this is amazing!
It was incredible for sure!

This needs a Spiderman meme where they point at each other, except its just Larson, KB, and the guys still running pointing at the others.
What a great ceremony some of Today's great drivers honoring Nascar's top 75 drivers of all time 😊

Your comment got me thinking, Hershel McGriff, seated next to Richard Petty, raced Lee Petty when Richard was 13
@@TanDawg58 that’s wild!!

When McGriff ran his most recent race in 2018 at age 90, most of his competitors were 73 years younger
Where was DW?
He wasn’t there - but he will be at North Wilkesboro as part of the FOX broadcast.
Who was called at the end that we never saw?
Martin Truex Jr
@@chris8video sorry, didn’t specify, wasn’t someone called after him but the video ended? then again my hearing isn’t the greatest so maybe not lol
@@raeisthe41 - I don't think so. It may have been just random cheering.
Sounds like Bubba got the loudest boos lmao
He’s black it’s not a surprise. That’s what the racist fans won’t tell you. They did it to Wendell Scott.
@@Tommy23269 I was thinking it and but you was saying it lmao.
Most people are pissed about the garage rope at Talladega and the fact that nobody ever retracted their statements regarding it being a "noose"
