Got myself a CPL24 waxed canvas but the Phoenix 2 will always be my favourite. Don't tell anyone but I love watter bottle pockets on evergoods backpacks ❤

I ended up going with the tan MHP although at first I planned on the black, but the way the tan will patina was too hard to pass up. I didn't need another CPL because I really love the Phoenix although that tan had me rethinking that!

Great video as always! I wish my regular CTB26 had that pouch in the main compartment. Any recommendations that will work with the straps on the regular CTB?
I never really sorted that out but slik clips should be really helpful in attaching almost anything. The problem is the alignment of the straps typically but the clips can be used diagonally.

Got the tan mhp and cap2, still considering the duffel and it’s still in stock as of right now. The reason I opted out of CPL24 is I just grabbed the olive x-pac version a couple of months ago and I also got the cap1 and cap2 in olive x-pac. If they did that rustic YKK matched up with the same kind of metal hardware throughout the bag, I would have maybe justified $399 for waxed canvas tan cpl24 but I’m pretty sure, they only did the rustic ykk zippers and the rest of the hardware, in my opinion, they went a little cheap on with plastic duraflex or wu-jin. MHP also has plastic buckles but I happen to have perfectly matching cobras in rustic gold, so that’s going to look awesome. Also I was hoping they would do more leather accents but I think the patch and the zipper pulls is all we get. So the olive x pac was 350 and the waxed canvas 399 for cpl24 I just didn’t see the value without a leather bottom or handle sort of similar to Goruck and last thing about evergoods when are they going to switch to aluminum key fobs at least in their special additions or collaborations? It drives me nuts that they still put that dinky little plastic key fob on every bag so I have to always swap mine for Nitize little S shaped carabiners and I did something funky with the olive x pac cpl24 and put fidlock split bar v-buckles on each of the shoulder straps instead of the plastic adjuster they use. It looks a little odd but I think it works with that pack

I don't see any need to add weight and price to my bag.
Might have done it for the sling 2l.

Pack light. I had 3 sets of tshirt/socks/underwear plus one set of workout clothes…and a pair of shorts. The GORUCK Simple shorts are VERY packable
In a dilemma… I have an opportunity to trade my OD CTB26 for the CTB26 Phoenix…. WWJB do? lol
If it's in good shape I'd go for it...but that's me 😜
